Like as in a War setting. See how the clouds are smokey looking and the earth is sort of dead? Any suggestions? Compliments? Opinions?

I'd say it gets the general idea across very, very well. Are you going to use it in a Flash video of some sort?

I think that you should ad some explotions of some sort...
then you'll really be able to picture a war sceen...but good luck with your Animation/flash video... 3nodding
