Uh, been working on this while I was sick, and I've gotten to the point in it where I'm not sure I want to continue it or not cause I just entered the "Why do I even try anymore? This sucks, holy hell I fail at life" stage of the creative process, lol.

So what do you think? Hair's not shaded or finessed at all, I still have to do detail work on the dress, but it's the shading on the dress and the hair that are killing me the most. Any suggestions on the dress? Or anything else? Line art is kind of crude on this as well.

So yeah, hit me with some harsh crit?? Redline me, or destroy it, or verbally abuse me for how bad this sucks, lol. Honestly, it's probably nothing I haven't already said to myself, and if you do throw something harsh at me that I haven't thought of, then more power to you xD. Whatever you think would help me at this point, thank you kindly biggrin

Hell don't even give up, thats turning out real good!!! Take your time!!!

You got something nice going on here,
But all I'm going to say is that the arm falling behind her looks really awkward to me, I'd red line it but I can't right now.. and the dress gets really heavy on the end bit, maybe lessen it a little or expose some of her leg.
The hair looks nice, but it drifts off to the right a bit, and if you want the impression that shes falling from the sky maybe fix that up as well.
I love how her dress is almost transparent around her back area. maybe do a little more detail with that. razz
I honestly don't think you should stop, just keep going with it, cause like I said before, you have something nice going on here. I'm sure more ideas will come as you keep on drawing and if you feel that something is not right, set the picture up strait and look at it from afar. It might help you see the "imperfections" a bit more clearly.

I think you should restart, and work in some other technique rather the one that you are using currently.
Helps me when I get stuck.

Oh my gosh! Its amazing. Very Well done.
NEVER give up biggrin

A Great Xmas Present would be a few neat items off my wishlist. C: Or some lovely cute artwork. C:
~ I'm in Love with Anonoymus Giving Threads, PM if you have one!

If you have been working on it for a long period oftime like you have then don't give up just leave it as it is for a couple of days and give your eyes and mind a rest and come back to it at a later date with a fresh pair of eyes, it works a treat honestly.

I have to go do British things... like drink cups of tea and eat bangers and mash, that sort of thing... because I'm British

Heavy as in, the fabric looks heavy, or as in it's just got a lot of fabric there? I realize the shape of the dress is kind of funny, I was imagining an inverted 'V' opening in the front of the dress, but lol, I think my execution of said imaginings was a little less then spot on >>.

Snap, the hair, I didn't realize that before, thanks for pointing it out, and I'll look into the arm that's behind her. I used a figure reference of an Olympic diver, so I'm pretty sure that it's a proper movement of the arm, but again, I think my execution fell short... I'm such a slacker, I'm always messing up on the execution D:

Thanks for your input smile I'll make sure to try and put it in use biggrin

First, can I just say, the fact that you used the phrase "works a treat"? It totally made my day xD. I love that phrase smile

And I'm going to probably do that one. I've sat on it for a couple days, and I'm gonna leave it, and then probably start over again, lol. Try new techniques on it like Salt and Bacon suggested. Thanks for your advice biggrin

Thanks, I'm probably going to just do that. That's the joy of digital painting, right? You usually have the original line art to restart off of xD. Any suggestions as to a particular technique to try?
