Need MUCH HELP!!! (get cash)

Ok... so I am making a card for a tarot deck... and my idea is to draw a white fox... but... I suck at animals (especially anatomy) And... well I would heart LOVE heart some help from any animal drawer experts. Here is a rough sketch done in pen to make it extra sucky... (no erasing stressed ) If anyone can help... maybe with some example drawings.... I mean truely help not just flame how sucky it is (cause I already know how sucky it is) I will award some gaia cash. Now just saying I need to work on the legs is a bad way to help and won't get you money. Wow.. my logic makes total sense... (is very sleepy) lol Well here is a pic of my "wonderful" drawing.

there's really no way around it.. you gotta try to learn animal anatomy, ehe. ^^; It'll be sooo much easier. (the rest of the pic loks pretty cool tho, nice design!) I found the BEST animal anatomy book in the library once, lemme see if I can find it..

(wow, long link ^^; ) it has a ton of drawings that are very detailed, but amazingly clear and easy to understand. Pictures from all angles of bone structure, muscle structure, & regular ones with, you know.. skin & stuff. ^^; Like I said, they are very clear and precise, it's the least confusing anatomy book I've ever seen. X3
But anyway, yeah.. you can't draw animals (or anything, really..) well without knowing how they're put together. *_*.; so go find that book. sweatdrop

make sure to round the feet, like your toe. Add defanition to the joints and muscles so make the shoulders stand out. Next give it a textured look. It's a warm blooded animal so make it look like it has fur. Next get the shading in. Have a direction the light is coming from and shade according to the position. It also helps to have a revference picture on hand. A photo is best. And the easiest way to do porportions is to do a profile shot. Make sure to add the curves of the back, stomack and neck. And make those joints stand out. But don't forget line deffenition. According to where the light is. It gives it a more realistic look.

But remember to start with the basic form of the body. don't add the defined angles and curves untill you hav the porportions laid out.

Thanks for the advice... but I am confused on what it needs to look like... do you have any drawings of art of how its supposed to look... and I am going to shade... I am good at that I just needed anatomy help

What an interesting picture! It'd be easier to help you if you could trace it or something and clean up the definitions of the lines...but just a moment, and let me find a picture! (Okay, it might not be a moment, but if you'll check back eventually, i'll have another post up.)

And I drew a pretty fox, too....I'm really sick right now and I have to go, but keep posting because i'm usually on at some time or other, and like i said it's late and the forum is probably dead right now... crying sorrryyy! *feels bad* anyway...i hope that the pictures at least help you if you can't get that book! whee best of luck!
