Welcome to Gaia! ::

Is this drawn okay? Or is it off?

EDIT: Also, any tips on how to color it?

The ear is too low and the back of the head is too flat and it should come out a tad more.

The rest looks pretty good. I'm interested in seeing what you do with it smile
I'm not sure about the chin, it looks sort of like we are looking down on the subject (is that what you were going for? if not-> wink I would make the chin go further downwards and perhaps stick out a little more?
If you can get a picture off the internet of a side veiw of a human skull. That should help with the proportion, Keep up the drawing practice. You have great potential.
Thank you all for the help. I will definitely see what I can do to reform it better. :3

I think the nose may be sticking out a BIT too far, or maybe the foreheads a bit to back? Id like to know what youre going for.

The features of the face are actually not bad, the real problem is the shape of the skull. I took the time to better illustrate what I mean. I understand you are going for a more stylized approach, but creating a relatively well proportioned skull will definitely help you have better facial proportions.

As for coloring, first determine the direction of your light source. Then use facial references lit with the same direction of light to figure out the planes of the face and color it accordingly.

I agree with the previous comments about the shape of the skull and the chin, and also wanted to add that generally the top lip is smaller than the bottom. Other than that it looks like a great start! smile

Wow, thank you! And I didn't realize that using a skull would help so much. I think what I'll do now is start from a skull for practice until I'm 100% positive about drawing it well, and then go freehand afterwards.

Well what I was going for was an attempt at my own style at realism. I'm used to drawing anime, so I wasn't really sure how to do it perfectly. (My fault for starting with anime and not life drawing first.)

Glad I could help. Drawing from life can even help with anime, just have to know the rules to break em. Best of luck to ya!
