I have lots of the symptoms described on the first page...

I have the hardest time coming up with ideas, and when I do, I instantly fall in love with them. But, they never turn out right, and I never finish, and I never get anywhere...
I've been trying to do things I haven't tried before, but it hasn't helped at all...
The only time I can extract something semi-decent is if I see something that's "super-amazing-wow", and inspiration strikes. But, that hasn't been for months...
Can you please help? I've been in an artist's block for forever, and I'm starving for improvement...

Your work has a nice variety, it seems like that gaia avatar is your best piece in this set. Can you explain to me what that one was for?

Nothing huge... I had just opened up an art shop for a quest of mine, and the guy came in and bought it. I'm amazed that you like that one so much, it'd be the first one I'd pick to torch... @_@

Kinda hard to explain... I adore things that are mythical or fantastical, so I normally get sparked by anything that could fit into a scene from a book.
What got me going for a while was Julie Zhou's stuff.

I see~It looks like you are an illustrator type of artist. smile

Joulee, she may be one of the top artists on gaia, but not on DA. razz If you are going for illustration, I will encourage you to seek artists who are above her skill level. sweatdrop No offense or anything.
From your work, I am glad to see some enviromental drawings, surrealism, and etc... but you are still quite limited in your visual vocabulary.
What looks to me is... you may find frustrating in making the concept you have because of one reason, the lack of skill to make them.
What you need is very basic, go back to still life, perspective practices, and figure practice. 3nodding And give yourself reasonable goals and time to achieve your desire.
Take it one step by the time to improve, so you won't grow frustrated at yourself, and allow mistakes and screw up experiences to help you.

If you want to, I can help you with the self-improvement program I have here with your study.

Yes, I saw her art a couple of times... quite familiar with that neon green and FF7 she draws so often. XD
I think she maybe using a different name here though.

Yeah, my family owns a cabin out in the woods. Its really quite cool. We are going to move there full time this summer.
