I haven't used Gimp in a while, though. But when I did use it, I thought it was a little too confusing and I soon gave up. I would suggest using Paintool SAI (which is free) if you want your colors to look sharper and blend in more.

Haha, it's okay. It was a mistake and it bothered me for about 5 seconds before I shrugged and didn't think about it anymore.

Speaking of improving, I might as well put up these doodles I've been doing. Some of them include me trying to draw some things I see or have learned a bit.

Sketches 1
This features some gazelle/deer legs based off of some pictures I've searched up one day during school. Okay, so not all of it is legs. I do have a mouth of a gazelle there and a concept doodle of a character. Okay, two concept arts. One is inked and the other one is horrible looking but I was thinking of a short stubby dog when I drew it.

More messing around. And a Nerd eating Mushroom. It was my friend's idea, not mine! I think I've failed these sketches though.

More Like Doodles
Got me trying out a man's chest there...randomly. No reference being it was in the middle of math class. And I got a bunch of noses in the corner there.

Reference of a Character...I guess?
I think it's a reference of a character. This is a really bad picture. XD I think it was just a way to get my ideas of him on paper.

So, yeah. I guess I'm slowly using references and drawing from what I see around me.

Question, I was thinking of doing small chibi commissions. It's nothing big and they would look like the two pictures above. They would be like, $5 for one character and $2 for every character added after that. I really want to do this, but I'm afraid I'm not ready and no one would really want to buy them. Maybe I should practice a bit with coloring before deciding?

A friend made Ghirahim a kitty cat, and I love Ghirahim, and I love cats! So I drew her version of Ghirakitty!


Chibi of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Drew him for a friend who is NUTS about him.

Vengeance
We were learning different ink shading techniques and my teacher wanted us to practice a bunch and pick the best one for him to grade. This is hatching and my best example. And my name was there, BUT YOU WILL NEVER KNOW MY NAME.

Hatching Chibi
Little chibi I did completely in pen. Yes, it was in class too. This was the only other hatching doodle I liked.

Eastern Dragon
So, remember that little dragon dude earlier? Well, here's another dragon. I was trying to draw an more eastern dragon, and this was the best I scribbled. I'm sure I could get better if I kept drawing.


This is a picture I drew just now. No, seriously, I stopped writing this post to finish this drawing. It's just Shadow Link hugging a Piggy Ganny plushie. This is mostly for my RP/Ask blog on Tumblr. He's more like a kid Shadow Link than anything.

Chimera
My dad wants me to draw something for him, so we were talking about what creatures he wanted and he said he liked the Chimera, except the creature would have the face of a goat with the body of a lion. So here's me concept drawing it. I used reference pictures for it. Yay?

I finally got whatever was on my scanner off of it and scanned a small group of pictures!

Earth
First of all, yes the top one of these two is from the comics. Second, I'm so proud of these pictures! I put a lot of detail into these two. I also have a third one but he's a bit harder to draw. The top one has the word "Ice" in Russian while the bottom one has the word "Earth" in Bulgarian. They are also wearing Russian and Bulgarian clothes.

The Poe Sisters again. I've been drawing a lot because of these four. The top picture is because some magic happen and they became alive for a little while. Bottom one is also because of magic, but instead to make them all sparkle(and Joelle ended up with a mustache).


Drawing I did as gift art for the ask blog Ask Lady Volvagia. She was having a tough time at that moment.

Drew Zelda in my...um...version. Yeah, she's kind of my own version of Zelda that combines traits from previous Zeldas. Anyway, felt like drawing her and this is how it ended up. I like it. Made a wallpaper type thing.

I have to say 'Silver Timbers' is my favourite drawing of yours 3nodding

In regards to a few of your arts, "Dinsuar drawn on iscribble.net." could possibly be improved by using more than than three colours. If you used more variety of colours, it might make things easier to make out the shapes of your art 3nodding

In regards to: "BethCryingFlames2.png" - I like the blue/white waves at the side of the character. I would suggest maybe a little consistancy with the rest of the picture. When the 'thing' (if that's not rude at all!) is crying, perhaps you could add some of that lovely white/blue wave at that too? Having a sudden block of colour then a soft mellow of various colours is a little too much contrast I think! Also, there are a lot of gaps in the picture, a lot of 'holes' that show the background. If you filled them in, it might make the picture a lot better.

I've looked through your posts, and it's nice to watch how you've improved 3nodding I feel inspired to make a thread similiar to yours!

Thanks for saying that, Silver Timbers is one of my favorites too.

Yeah, I do agree I should work on colors a bit more. I could say that the dinosuar was just something I scribbled for fun, but that doesn't mean I can't work on my colors!

And it's not rude at all to call her a thing! I mean, technically she's a ghost character from the Zelda series, but I think she still qualifies as a thing. I did have trouble with what you were saying at first, but I'm pretty sure I understand what you're saying now about the waves. I know I was trying to make it slowly turn into waves, but I guess I didn't do too well! Which is fine, it was a good first time I'd say. The holes were done on purpose, but compared to the waves I guess it looks really out of place.

I inspired someone? What? eek Anyway, I would encourage anyone to have a sort of sketchbook! I actually post these pieces on three different sites(some of them make it to a fourth one) to try to get feedback. I usually don't, but it doesn't mean I should stop posting them! Maybe one day I'll go back and see how much I've improved myself. Till then, I'm going to keep on drawing!
