And i can't figure out the right angle of the face and placement of the mouth or nose..
advice and maybe a redline would be wonderful!
Thanks! biggrin

The drawing is nice, but here are some helpful tips biggrin
Im no expert but...
1. Find where the hairline is, and fluff hair SLIGHTLY off the scalp
2. Give the face some shape!
3. top of the eyes and bottom of the nose, is the ear size.
4. The eyes and nose, aren't that far from each other.

Sorry about the super-messy lines; I'm drawing w/ my mouse atm.

Alright. SO. The complex Freudian hallucination that is the human head. And also fairies. (anyone who got that deserves a damn medal)
Your eyes weren't in the right place, and that basically threw the rest of the composition out of balance.

While the eyes can, at times, be placed in positions other than the very center of the head(not the center of the face; this is very different. I simply mean when I say this that the corners of both eyes on both sides lines up to be on the same line, which is equidistant from the top of the head, to the very tip of the chin), it seemed like you were going for a near straight-on approach, so the only features that were distorted in any way were the ones running left to right, not top to bottom.

For instance, one nostril is a bit more cut off than the other.

If you were, however, to want to change the angle of the head, you would need to keep with one rule above all others; (and crap, now that I say it, I realize I messed up on it here. blah, oh well.) the point where the ear connects to the face at its top base (such as in this drawing) will always be pointed toward the very top of the eye section(where you should place your eyebrows).

From there, you will be able to draw a dipping line that runs close to the nose, then back up into the eyebrow line, to map out where you should place the bottom of the eye. The rest, for lack of knowledge, has been trial and error for me. Til the day I find a plan for the exact angles and mathematics of every human feature and their proportions, I leave you with that.
