Taran Renard's Senpai

Dapper Darling

(@Rachel: It has a nice flow to it and I can definitely see it being turned into song lyrics. >w<
@Julio: It was a very unexpected ending. ^^" I think it might work better if her death was caused by an accident though, because what I get from "It was a bitter twist of fate" is the feeling that it was unavoidable.)

What do you say to coffee some time?
I know just the place.
It'll barely cost you a penny and a dime
For the owner is my friend.

He makes the best lattes- with an extra shot.
But I still prefer my hot chocolate
With whipped cream on top.
So come on! What are you waiting for?

(Edit: v Haha that sounds like a good rhyme for a government ad trying to encourage kids to play less games get out more. It's cute. XD)

So come on! What are you waiting for?
The world and all of it's experiences are open to you!
Get up and go out that door!
Make something happen in your life.

Take advantage of your time,
And be sure to enjoy yourself.
I know for sure your experiences will be as good as mine.
There is nothing stopping you.

(I didn't like this one compared to my last one. :C)

Heroic Entrepreneur

There is nothing stopping you:
Nothing in your way, no lies brought to truth.
Hitch yourself to the wind, watch your gleam,
Find yourself hanging from the nearest moonbeam.

And when you whisper late at night,
Hiding amidst your covers in fright;
Know that I will be there too,
To share the world and hereafter with you.

(Yay couplets!)

Dangerous Lunatic

@ Cyanide: It was supposed to be an accident, but I was trying to wrap things up to stay within the line limit. I went with the suicide thing as an alternative, partly because it seems to tie in with a couple of the other poems I wrote.

Hiding amidst your covers in fright
Hoping that it's merely a dream
Afraid to face the terrors of the night
And trying so hard not to scream

Lest by the boogeyman you're found
That vile monster that feasts on fear
So you clench your jaw and make not a sound
As by and by you hear him drawing near

Slow the heavy footfalls come
With each step the floorboards creak
The anticipation has you numb
You shut your eyes, afraid to peek

Then everything goes quiet. Hark!
Blessed silence. Good he must me gone
You pull back the covers and peer into the dark
Too bad poor fool, you were wrong

Too bad poor fool, you were wrong
Your heart will grow cold before long
The heart must break
As petals must fall from a rose
The heartstrings weep not a merry song
Whilst played by poisoned bows.

Dangerous Lunatic

Your heart will grow cold before long
If you continue to follow this throng
These men show no mercy
Listen not to any plea
And that is just terribly wrong

You should be merciful and kind
Be of sound and just heart and mind
In order to see
The best of humanity
A warm heart is better you'll find
Listen not to any plea,
For I've come to regret my existence.
How I wish Death would take me;
I shall offer no resistance.

You are worth more than a billionaire's wealth.
My very soul cries out for you like a lion's roar.
Chéri, inconsolable as I am, I repeat to myself:
Ce soir, nous nous unissons dans la mort!

(@Miss Candy: Thank You! I figured that part was the only redeeming quality of my poorly written poem.)

Wench

I shall offer no resistance
Upon broken bonds I dance
My soul takes flight, from the ends of the night
like the nightingales of Spring's twilight.

With outstretched arms I ride the wind,
O much is the joy it brings
For I shall offer no resistance
until I am no more.

My soul takes flight, from the ends of night,
like the nightingales of Spring's twilight.

(My brain will never stop rambling, whether I'm awake or asleep. I need to spam (not here xD) the world of reality before I sleep. GOod night once more~ )
O much is the joy it brings
To write up these poems and things
But I've gotta say
This is quite a display
Of the human mind given wings.
(lymeric, WOOT WOOT)
upon broken bonds I dance
ever so gracefully
If I never take a chance
what is left for me?

these bonds held me back
from knowing the truth
I'm sorry, but I had to crack
them and risk hurting you

While I'm sorry for you're pain
I wouldn't change a thing
There was to much to gain
I'm already learning

This is clearly the best idea anyones had in WG for a long time.

EDIT: I like that poem too much to slash it out. Here's a poem from the person above me( That one was from Lev D Franco Van Reign.)

How silly that you think today
I will forgive you
This is quite a display
of your love, true

but I'm sorry, our time is past
It went by far too slow
but you think too fast
I just think you should go

I'm sorry it had to end like this
but we should just move on
I'm sorry, but I don't miss
you when you're gone.

I like the first one a bit more, but this one is still decent.

It went by far too slow
The melting of this thing called my heart
But not the good sort of melting,
Not the melting of ice cream,
Not of honey...

Should I have seen it in your eyes?
All false honey and candied almond
That you pressed down your fingers one by one
With excited hands that shook
Mouthing the words
Revealing those teeth that drew me in
I was thunderstruck, by those
If only I knew you were a shark
Drawn to me by the scent of blood.

Dangerous Lunatic

Should I have seen it in your eyes
The wickedness that you disguise
Smiling as you told your lies
I would have been done with you

You professed your love for me
And joy and sweetness was all I could see
But it was never meant to be
For none of it was true

Now I know you for what you are
A harlot and a damned liar
I cast you out; go away from me far
And let me begin my life anew

Heroic Entrepreneur

We part, as merry men should part;
With hand to chest and hand to heart.
Within the darkness we disembark
And leave this time for broader shores.

Though the night is long and the time is near,
We find ourselves finding passage from here,
Hoping to see that someone so dear
To tell the tales of broader shores.

A harlot and a damned liar
Circle 'round the looming fire;
And within the dance they aspire
To be forever on broader shores.

Dangerous Lunatic

Within the darkness we disembark
We must move quickly without delay
To our new home we must depart
If we are to avoid the light of day

We travel under the cloak of night
Some call us Vampire, Nosferatu
Children of darkness, we shun the light
To feast upon man, we are doomed to

Not a moment to soon we finally arrive
Just minutes before up the sun's orb raises
We rush to the cellar to save our undead lives
And into our coffins we take our places

We fall into the restful sleep of the dead
Away from the prying eyes of men
And when the night falls they are filled with dread
As we rise once more to hunt again

(@Julio: Sir, you are amazing. whee I don't know how you can manage to write such riveting poems so quickly! They're always a pleasure to read because each of them are like mini adventures.
@Superficial Ace:
French is so sexy when it's thrown in randomly like that. XD I had to ask Squeaky to translate the line for me but I love it~ <3)

Children of darkness, we shun the light
Not by our choosing, but by birth
Our eyes are red and our hair is white
A rarity indeed, upon this earth.

The people, they are quick to judge
An awkward glance then they look away
They treat us as if we were a smudge
On society's great display.

We live not, the way you do
Your ignorance makes you blind
Some of us lucky to reach twenty-two
A relief, of a kind.
