A bit of a somber thread, but yeah. How'd you comfort the AAY after they witness their mother dying?
I didn't know your mother. I know nothing of your relationship with her.

But I have hot cocoa and I'll sit next to you and bump shoulders with you if you're not up for a hug.

I don't know elven funerary customs, but...
Know that she is now one with her beloved forest, and you do her memory proud defending it as valiantly as you have.

=sits down heavily next to the other man, shooting him a grim, sympathetic smile= ...my mom died four years ago. She was very sick and didn't tell me that her condition had gotten worse. I never got to say goodbye...so...I know what it's like, at least a little bit. Do you...maybe...wanna' talk about it over drinks? We could have a toast to her memory and you could vent, or just relax if you want. Whatever'll help man.
Since he's a stranger...

Penny would escort him back to either her home or his (if it was closer), clean him up, then tuck him into bed.
Once comfortable, she'd tell him every story she knew that had a happy ending, for as long as she could. Hopefully, until he fell asleep.
It will likely be a long night, and if he happens to find sleep, it would be better to also have something lighter on the mind, to try and counterbalance the day's tragedy.
Afterwards, she'd sit quietly on the opposite side of the room, likely reading (as it would feel like an inappropriate time to tinker with watches), ready to listen if he needs to talk.
Well, the only thing I can think of that can help right now is rum. I can go see if there's some in the hold, or if not something else. There's grog for sure. You can even hold Hamilton for a little bit, if you want. He's a champion cuddler. Or we could go plunder a coastal town or someit, to take your mind off of things.

(TNP: Russell's mother burnt to death in a car. Good luck making him feel better.)

Well, everyone dies in the end. It just varies by when and how... But I say, your late mother's death didn't seem like an accident to me. You should avenge her horrible end. I'll help you if you want. stare
"Er- if it makes you feel any better, I can probably bring her back to life. Of course, she'd probably be a bit... mindless and have a craving for human flesh, but it's the thought that counts, right?"

v. Honey, I'm a necromancer too....

Kawaii Carnivore

'Well, if it can consoles you,my necromancy might work better ...at least , if I really try hard and call her soul back and all, she will be with you for 3 more years ...against 3 years of your soul, of course , since you will be her new source of energy . Oh .
I am sorry to talk business in such a blunt matter ...'
*silently sits besides her , nervously playing with his fingers *
The Hunter sighed, sat down next too the elf, put his arm around her and held her tightly too him. He looked at her lightly in the eyes with sincerity pulsing through him

"Come now Nanaith, a necromancer such as yourself should know that is simply how life works. And while she may be gone physically from this earth, she still exists greatly in your mind and in spirit." He gave her a full hug

Dead Hellraiser

"I know it's really hard, Mr. Night, but the pain does lessen over time." Rhea gave him a sympathetic look, placing a hand on his shoulder in a comforting manner. "If you need a shoulder to cry on or to talk to, I'll be here for you."

Gaian

"I'm sure she wouldn't want you to allow her departure to keep you down and unable to continue her work. People die all the time. So don't grieve for too long Rhea. Live for both her and yourself."

"It's okay thread, you can cry on my chest. I understand that despite what you've become, there was always a soft spot in your heart for her. I know that she's smiling down upon you as we speak. Bless her soul."
