The AAY is in a VN

Though unlikely, for those who may not know, VN stands for visual novel.
The novels I'm referring to are things like romantic novels, such as Katawa Shoujo or DRAMAtical Murder

I want you to answer three things.

1) What kind of novel is it?
Sweet, cheesey romance?
Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri?

2) If you choose their route, what is the good ending?
Something cute?
Something naughty?
Something that you could really only equate to a friendship?

3) If you get their bad ending, what is there?
Is it just sad and quick?
Is there some really disturbing/disgusting/horrific thing they do or manage to get into?


Think back to your knowledge of VNs (if you have any) and have fun

Invisible guy obviously doesn't have a route since he doesn't exist so he's in a cheesey novel and his good and bad endings are rather lonely.

1) A non-H romantic novel with some sci-fi themes!
2) The two main characters have a big argument in the snow on Christmas Eve, but then they make up and promise to be good to each other just as the clock strikes midnight!
3) His conflicted feelings lead him to be super careless at work, and he accidentally sets the entire cafe on fire, and gets trapped inside as it burns to the ground...

((The visual novel Sami stars in is a strange, but quirky romance that's cheesier than a pizza and just as satisfying. His good ending has the player's character help Sami achieve his dream of becoming a magical girl, and the pair ride off into the sunset to do magical things. His bad ending isn't too sad, but it's very slapstick, as in the process of making Sami a magical girl, the player gets turned into a toad, or a ferret, or numerous other animals. Whoops...))

[Sayonara to Gravity]

Type: Typical school romance; non-H. Celeste's uniform is the one in Owen's sig.

Good ending: The player and Celeste decide to get matching bracelets to make them remember each other, and end up being the typical high school couple who go on typical restaurant/cinema/amusement park/what-have-you dates.

Bad ending: The player goes to class one day. Celeste is not there - she has transferred to another school. The player realizes that there's something missing from his life, but can't exactly pinpoint what it is. He is eventually driven insane by this realization, forcing him to drop out and become a shut-in.

Neutral ending: The player and Celeste forget about their romantic relationship. Although still being in the same school, the player and Celeste don't interact much. A year later, Celeste transfers to another school, and the player forgets about her completely.

Essentially, the neutral ending softens the blow for the player by ending his relationship with Celeste before making him forget about her.

Type: Hetero high school romance.

Good Ending: You are performing on stage with Avril and you get to kiss her after the show.

Bad Ending: CHOMP!

Neutral Ending: You two are just friends throughout and you have no involvement in her musical shows.

Type: Romantically based, has H-scenes, totally homo

Good Ending: Cute but steamy scene in his home.

Bad Ending: He blames you for many things and nearly attacks you. He doesn't really succeed but it just sucks.

Type: Sweet and fluffy yaoi visual novel, has a h-scene in the good ending. The player is a new employee at the cafe Armen works at.

Good ending: The player and Armen go on a super romantic date on Christmas, visiting amusement parks, having a candle-lit dinner, you know the drill. Afterwards, Armen invites the player home so they can have some "coffee", even though they've just eaten and it's late at night. Coitus ensues.

Neutral ending: The player ends up getting fired and having to move due to difficulties finding another job, however he and Armen promise to keep in touch.

Bad ending: Armen and the player end up having a big fight in the cafe over their relationship, which ends with the dragon throwing a pot full of freshly-made coffee onto the player in a rage, burning him and leaving him in a coma due to the severity of the burns. Armen is ridden by guilt and quits his job to escape the memories.

[Dessert Theater]

Type: a visual novel that revolves around memories ( with the option to disable h-scenes and choice of the players gender)

Good end: the player and Celeste exchange promise rings and swear to never forget each other.

Bad end: follows the good end except at the end Celeste takes away the players memories of his existence .

Neutral end: the player forgets his feelings for Celeste so they stay friends

[Kafka]

Type: It's one of those brightly-colored otome games that's popular these days. king mogeko is the punk guy who has a soft spot for animals and works at a pet store. :V The game takes place during the main character's break from university.

Neutral ending: The MC goes back to university and the two promise to keep in touch.

Good ending: Though at the end of the game the MC still has to go back to university, guess who shows up in a new job at a local pet store. :ooo

Bad ending: The MC makes him angry somehow and the next time MC shows up at the pet store, seems he's given up on MC and his attentions are elsewhere. Oop.

[Hydelloon]

Type of Game: Otome with a supernatural flair. Amarante, the owner of a new coffee shop that mysteriously appeared during a new moon, is intrigued by the MC and treats them to various specialties of the cafe. The MC's reactions and ability to survive the odd happenings around the shop only serve to increase her interest. The game lasts for one month until the next new moon and then the cafe relocates again.

Good Ending: The MC has made Amarante truly happy and is asked to join her in the cafe as it travels. They share a cozy existence together through time and space.

Neutral Ending: The two share a final cup of coffee together and chat idly before the shop vanishes. The MC is left with only memories that slowly fade away about the goings on.

Bad Ending: Amarante is no longer interested in the MC and hands them a mysterious Black Book to read. The MC is then sucked into the book and never seen again.

[Cressidia Ainur]

Type of VN: An action/friendship based story that has more of a lighter tone. Something kind of colorful. It surrounds a competition where mortal beings are given the power of gods in order to fight one another for their own amusement. As a reward, they are granted immortality along with one wish. Hydelloon is a gifted Mage who's personality is just a fiery as her magic. She is representing the phoenix god, Suzaku.

Good Ending:The MC wins the tournament and befriend's Hyde, where her one wish is granted for the both of them to live immortally where they will continue their growing friendship, through adventuring and traveling the world.

Neutral Ending: The MC wins, but Hyde says nothing more to the MC except for congratulating them before leaving to return home defeated.

Bad Ending: Hyde becomes bitter after the MC is victorious, and as a result spends the rest of her life trying to seek revenge on them.

[Payonai]

Type of VN: It's a sweet romance story where the player works at Cressidia Ainur's manor as a servant. There are a few different characters in the game that the player can date; 3 fellow co- workers, and once those routes are completed Cressidia's route becomes open.

Good Ending: The player and Cressidia end up becoming close. There isn't any wedding yet, but it's clear that the main character has moved up from servant status to a lover. Before the player had called her Madame Ainur, but now the player learns her first name, Cressidia, and addresses her as so.

Neutral Ending The player never interacts with Cressidia aside from a few brief exchanges- either greetings or orders. In this ending the player becomes closer to one of the servants in the game, rather than Cressidia.

Bad Ending The player ended up offending Cressidia over a certain topic to such a degree that they were kicked out of the manor altogether along with a restraining order just to make sure she's cut ties with the payer entirely.

[ChikaDee]

Type: This visual novel is a romantic comedy where the main character meets multiple bachelors in their life in the city. Payonai is a character that you can only do their route if you do certain scenes correctly!

Good ending: The main character and Payonai walk through the city at night and when they reach the park, when suddenly Payonai proposes!

Neutral end: The main character and Payonai barely now each other and he makes short cameos in the ending of other routes

Bad end: By getting to know Payonai the main character gets caught up and shady businesses and ends up ' sleeping with the fishes'

[Dessert Theater]

type: A lighthearted visual novel where the player finds themselves thrown into the world of magical girls and boys.

good end: the player makes a contact and helps Jessie defeat the villain (after that they decide to become a couple)

bad end: The player thinks she's crazy and decides to ignore her from now on.

neutral end: the player never finds out about her secret ( plays out like a regular dating sim )

[Collizio]

Type: It's a very sweet PG-13 rated novel about the journey of being a teenager and then discovering romantic feelings. Nothing too saucy happens, and there's a lot of dating involved. It is unique because your compatibility rating is partially based on whether your pets like each other.

Good Ending: You and king mogeko are lying in a field, laughing at clouds that look like Shiba Inu dogs. In the background, your pets play together.

Bad Ending: Wow. Such disappoint. Much cry. Wow. Unfortunately the shibes attack you! You are both embarrassed and you vow never to speak to each other again.
