It's one of those Xena/Hercules like shows so it does have a lot of seasons. At least 5

Daizu was intended to be the monster in a single movie, but the company decided to split the movie into a four episode miniseries. It did pretty well and got a second miniseries with six episodes. The hype died down after that, but the two series are still held in pretty high regard in Indy horror circles.

[Petrified Heart of Glass]

Only one. The plot was very slow-burn-y, which was incompatible with the attention spans of most of today's audience, but those that did stick with it until the end were rewarded with a very satisfying finale.
