Kate blinked her eyes while trying to put words together. She couldn't explain what just happened in front of her. It was like something out of a movie. She just nodded and slowly started to walk away. What did I just witness?

[The Doctor Anon]

The Doctor was alone. Although he liked to pretend that he wasn't, and that the TARDIS still held the company he longed to talk to, the way his own words echoed back at him from the silent depths of his ship didn't exactly help that illusion. Sighing, he ran his hands over the TARDIS's controls and brought her back down to London, the year he'd met Rose Tyler. He knew it was silly and nostalgic, because he just couldn't feel that way anymore, but it was like this that he had met her: beaten and scarred with war, unable to even do so much as look at himself without cringing at the monster staring back. Maybe he'd find someone like her. Maybe someone would fix him.
"Alright, girl," he mumbled, searching the TARDIS's doorframe for some great answer that wasn't there. "I'll be back." He walked out into the streets, looking for something... interesting. He found it only in the form of a tiny little thread, well out of the way of most other things. And inside it was...
"Oh, hello! I'm the Doctor, lovely to meet you. Brilliant, in fact. Blimey, isn't it cold in here?"
