Mine slept for just over an hour and when I came back he was fully
rested. I know others have had trouble with this though.

It's reeeaaaaally slow. I've been checking on my pet every ten minutes or so and it gains a bit every time I wake it and put it back to sleep.
Or, I think it does... I managed to play a full game of DDR and tic tac toe before i had to put it back to sleep.
