Gaia is not a game, it's a forum. Basically you post messages that others can read and respond to, forming "threads" or a series of messages under one topic heading. As an added feature, there are fully customizable avatars and a "gold" system which rewards you for being active on the site. From there you can buy clothes and other items for your avatar, or trade gold/items with your friends or any other user (with the aid of a trading pass forund at the Bank in Gambino for 500 gold)
