For a gaian experience. I would check towns, guilds, forums (theres plenty dont get stuck in Chatterbox, and General Discussioon. Look around inside of forums there is sub forums. Some specifically for making friends) next you can check out booty grab, zomg, and the other mini games in the game section.

You should fill out your profile information, especially your interest tags. Then you can click on a particular interest and see all the other people who share that interest! Making friends is a huge part of Gaia, which is a largely social website (even the MMO, zOMG!, mainly serves to earn gold to make a nicer avatar while also allowing you to spend time with friends, and most if not all of the games have chat rooms in them).
