Okay, so some ways of making gold is:

posting on forums

just surfing through gaia gets you gold

playing games, like zomg and doing jig saw puzzles, gets you gold and sometimes free stuff to sell

going to the skittles world and spinning the wheel to get free stuff to sell

going to the overseer in your aquarium everyday, getting some free stuff and selling it

just walking through towns and clicking on the bushes to shake them can get you some gold as well
