I bought gaia cash, then converted the item i got into gold by selling it in the marketplace. The average cost of items in the marketplace are billions of dollars, I think posting only gives you 10,000 gold, so thats a lot of posting or just spend 2.5$ and make gold by buying cash.

Just as he said. With the marketplace in inflation, gaians are forced to use
real life money to purches items from the Cash Shop.
You can then sell those items in the marketplace.

The marketplace, though, takes out 5% of your income.
So heres a trick. you can buy or obtain an item and then
you may go to the Gaia Exchange forums and sell it there. Careful of lowballers though.

If you dont know how much to sell an item you can use the
MP average price (avp) or lowest buy price (lbp) whichever is the highest.

and you can start with the gold you earn from that.

"Buy low, sell high"

Welcome to gaian entrepreneurship. Have fun and goodluck.

BUT if you dont wanna do that you can play games (which will not getyou much)
or entering other people's contests in the forum.
Or if you find yourself talented, you can also sell your artwork in the art forums or
your body (making signs) in the mini shops forums.

Posting is still one of the tried and true methods of getting gold and just being active on the site.

Though it seems that there is an inflation epidemic, so the Marketplace might be really tricky. Gold doesn't go as far as it used to for the nicer items. ono

So you could try your hand at opening a shop, and games, and doing your vending person to person instead of the Marketplace.
