1) if you set your profile settings to Current, not Classic (though I believe it should already be set to that), most of it you can probably figure out on your own. As for music, you have to post a code from some kind of playlist sight like Playlist.com (though I think they stopped with the Gaia codings), or ....actually I forgot the name of the other, but I'm pretty sure some here can tell you, or has already told you. ^_^;;
If you ever want something better than the usual stuff that Current profiles give you, you can always find layout codes on here or other sites. If you have the gold, you might even find someone to make you a very custom layout to your specifications! Or if you're like me, you'll enjoy figuring out the CSS coding to make a very custom layout for yourself. Otherwise, Gaia simply offers simple editing tools that are easy for just about anybody.
2) Just go to the drop down menu under people's avatar, and you'll see the Add option. ^_^
If you're on someone's profile, just find the button on there; it could be in different places depending on their profile.
Also, if a friend in real life gives you their username, just go to the friends tab under MyGaia, and type in their name in the Search bar!
3) As for forums, there are LOTS. Just depends on what stuff you're into~ So just browse for now.
4)Avoid breaking the ToS rules, etc. Don't be a troll. I'd say avoid GD, but that's just me. Otherwise, just have fun, really!
