Well, technically, if you want to get into it: the ninjas would win out eventually because the Spartans refused to take on any new fighting styles to advance their armies. (A reason why the persians defeated them so easily). It really would be a quite simple if you were willing to take the loss of people to study their fighting technique. |

My theory: Spartans could have been pirates if they didn't wear underwear all the time and started saying "Yargh" at the end of each sentence.
