Kinda New, Kinda Not. Tips Welcome!

I used to be pretty into this site a loooong time ago. I am mostly getting back into it to try my hand at some rping again, and maybe network with people in guilds. If anyone has any tips on things to get started with, or any info on new mechanics and tricks I might not be familiar with would be great. I already see some kind of weird 'promote your post' addition since I was here last. Doubt I will be using that but it should make things a little more interesting I suppose.

Well zOmg is pretty cool, but personally I like to spend my time in the rp threads and the guilds. It's great to find people with similar interests to talk with. That's how I used to spend my time on here anyway, not sure what all has changed though lol.

Oh the arena is pretty cool too if your artistic or just like to see other peoples art, quick way to earn gold too if I remember right.

✓ [Inexpensive Items] - Keep an eye on this thread for low-priced items.
The marketplace is constantly fluctuating, so you never know when you might get a good deal.

✓ [ Cheap Outfits ] - A collection of cheap avatar ideas that look nice
and are usually under 50k or so. I believe the thread is now closed,
but the outfits should still be there for reference.

✓ [ Free Items ] - This thread will supply you with some free item grants.
Keep an eye out as more may pop up at any time.

✓ [ Charities ] - Self-explanatory.
People can be very generous to those in need.

Misc & Gold-Making Tips

[ Aquariums ] will sometimes glow and you
will be able to play a game called Booty Grab where you collect falling gold.
You can make a good 100k+ a day if you really work at it.

[ Dumpster Dive ] is an activity you can do to gain free items.
Sometimes you will get trash, other times you can get items. You never really know!

Many of Gaia's [ Games ] earn you gold or tickets
or they can just be a way to kill time!

You can catch bugs or collect trash in [ Towns ] and sell them on the marketplace
for decent amounts of gold. You can also do the same by catching fish in [ Fishing ]


RPing, Avatars, and Friends

Yep RPs are great, I like writing but doing it with other people is a great way to get away from writer's block on personal projects. Plus it's a good way to make friends too. I am getting started in a guild one (wolf based, semi lit so a good starting point, and it's active) and a harest moon one I found while browsing barton town (more advanced lit so obviously more pausing between posts but understandably so and will make for good reading). I wouldn't mind a few anime based ones and a couple romance ones if you have suggestions though.
