Best idea in world - read stickies and the little blue help box on the main page. Everything earns you gold, then you have fun dressing your avi and talking to people!

Yes.

First, scroll down to the FAQs link on any page, and read it twice.

Second, go back to Welcome to Gaia (where we are) and
read the stickies.
Reread them once a week for the next month or so.


Check out the entire map and all the forums and subforums.

You won't get a LOT of gold at once, but you will build gold over time.
