I haven't been on since about 2012.
There are a lot of changes that I just don't really understand.
For example: Why am I getting 50,000 gold to post?
What is this cisgender thing everyone is talking about?
Gaia cash? What?

Welcome back-ish smile
I just came back on here a few months ago, so far it seems like the economy and marketplace are just completely out of wack. There has been so much inflation, and it seems like any time there is a new item, it can only be purchased with gaia cash from the shop, or with an outrageous amount of gold from the marketplace. Gaia cash you can either earn, or purchase with real money. gonk

I am NOT spending money on items... this is ridiculous.
They should have never let items be bought like that in the first place.
No wonder this place is so whacky now.

Gaia screwed up the economy by selling gold generators in the cash shop which generated billions of gold to users which caused the hyperinflation. You can get gaia cash by paying them real money or by watching random video ads or completing offers.

I've just returned from a hiatus myself so I understand your shock.

Yeah, it really sucks! I mean, I still enjoy playing the games and talking to people in the forums, but it sucks when I can't have awesome items for my avatar with out either spending A WHOLE LOT OF TIME on here trying to get gold, or to spend real money (which I'm not down for). If you click on the little TV guy, and watch the ad then you can earn gaia cash that way, which I have done, but still, it sucks that basically all new items just come in a sort of chance bundle and can only be bought with gaia cash. burning_eyes
