Well I am not completely sure cause I have never done stuff like that, but I think you just make a sort of mini shop (in the right forum though) and show some examples of you previous Drawings, then wait for some customers, and draw what they want, put it up on the web (like deviantart or something) And send the link to your customer ... If you were talking about real life Idk sweatdrop

If it's about getting goldz, spamming bump threads in the Chatterbox (affectionately dubbed the CB) works pretty well for gaining small sums, but once you've got a fair amount, many people say buying and selling items on the Marketplace will inflate your wallet more effectively.
