May I ask what exactly "answering the bottles" is?

In the aquariums, right?
To put it simply, it's just a thing where users put out some general questions and other users answer them. The answers show up as comments on the asker's aquarium.
I haven't used it in a while, but I don't think there's any reward for doing it but it's just something to pass the time while feeding your fish I guess?

I don't know what happened, but somehow I ended up on this site last night due to curiosity. I'm quite sure that any cats coming here won't be killed, but who knows?

I'm rather lost.

So I suppose I'm supposed to be writing an introduction, but I really must say I'm terrible at them.
