Gaia Staff (Administrators, Moderators, etc) will NEVER ask you for your password for any kind of procedure. We do NOT need it to access your account information, etc. Do not be fooled by false Staff or by Scammers that claim entering your information on a site outside Gaia will give you gold (for more information on how to spot Staff Impersonation click here ). Do NOT enter your Gaia username/password on any site that is not Gaia Online. (http://www.gaiaonline.com) Scammers will use that information to hack your account and either steal your items or use it to Scam more users. On the same token, we ask that you do not share passwords with anyone (friends, etc) as Gaia is not responsible for what can happen to your account/items.
