I just don't want someone thinking they can get off with writing a couple-line RP and expect that to fill the requirement for growth.

[b]A:[/b] Yes, they can. But they will have to procure an appointment like anyone else- through flatsales or auctions only. Gaian children will be able to breed with other Gaian children or any Gaian avatars.

[b]A:[/b] Yes, given these two conditions are met: 1) The pet has human-level intelligence! Being that it would be a clinical procedure, I don't care if the pet looks human or animal. 2.) The owner of the [i]OTHER [/i]breedable shop must send me a PM stating that it would be okay with them.

[b]Q: But this isn't genetically possible! We don't have the capablilties to clone/raise test tube babies/ create children from homosexuals with such a success rate! [/b]

[b]A:[/b] Yes! Actually, it is highly encouraged! These are susposed to be your Gaia-self's children and to be treated as such. Feel free to RP them in other RP areas, and feel free to also RP your other pets in this area, as long as it centralized around your child. I highly reccomend a "other pet" post on the front page of your nursery thread. And if anything significant happens in a thread outside GMFC, please post it or summarize it in your nursery so I can take it into account. I can't go following your child all around Gaia ^_~

[b]A[/b]: Well, you can see them... but you will not be a part of raising them. Unless given express written permission from the legal gaurdian, I wouldn't even encourage telling the child that you are their biological mother/father. [i]Donating an egg or sperm does not increase your chance of getting an appointment[/i].

I don't. I don't claim to. Hell, every shop deals with pregnancy and childbirth is one way or the other. Also, there have been "family RPs" on Gaia as long as Gaia's been around. They are still very popular.

When the idea of "breeding" avatars wasn't mine. It was Daisuke-kuns, and I even asked his permission to use it, and offered him to be co-owner, which he declined, but still have me permission to use the concept.

However - every breedable is unique in its own right. Yes, there are a MILLION cat and dog breedables. But they are all different in one way or the other. They have a different history, a different social pattern. They have wings, or horns, or eyebrow tufts. They are usually called something special. "Caits" or "Puri's" or "Talaye" - indicating that they are NOT cats, but a seperate species of animals that live in Gaia.

For example, Puris are feline-based pet. Other people are more than welcome to create other feline based pets. BUT - you couldn't sell [i]PURIS[/i]. You could create a feline pet with a different natural history and call it a Feli. Is a this a clone shop? NO! Felis and Puris have almost nothing alike, except they are based on FELINES.

The same can be said with humanoid pets. All "humaniod" pets are some variation of a species. Even something as broad of fairies - there are Feien Faries, the Fa'e, etc. How are they similar? They are all humaniod pets. No one is stopping ANYONE here from creating another humanoid pet shop. BUT - you would have a problem if you just ripped the history and mythos of the Feien Fairies and created your own Feien Faries shop.

Did RikProwly invent the idea of fairies? No. But he did event the Feien faires, and how the interact with Gaia. But Rik never claimed to own the idea of fairies.

Now we get to the GMFC. I was the FIRST to take the idea of GAIANS having genetic children and applying it to an RP-inventisive, unique-stage breedable. I don't breed fairies, or cats, or dogs. Estentially, I BREED AVATARS. Gaian Children. Thats the species I "created" with my shop.

If another shop comes along, and starts breeding avatars... they've taken my "species" idea. There is nothing left that makes my shop unique about others. Is it a totally original concept? No. Was it an original concept for diary-intensive breedables? [b]YES[/b].

You can't make your own Puri shop. But you can make your own feline-based shop. You can't make your own Maternity Clinic- but you CAN make your own humanoid pet shop.
