But how many Americans will blindly go along, saying "yeah! Bomb them Iranians! Turn em into a parking lot!"

You can't go on MSNBC.com, CNN.com, or watch the news these days without hearing all this anti Iranian propaganda.
"Iran is making nukes" "Iran is attacking the US in Iraq" "Iran is testing ICBM missiles" "Iran this, Iran that".
It feels JUST like the buildup of lies and propaganda toward the US led invasion of Iraq.

Two aircraft carrier groups are now right near Iran, with all sorts of air/land/sea US millitary presence converging on the area.

And look at this map:



Why, what a COINKYDINK! Afghanistan right next door to the east, Iraq right next door to the west. The TWO countries the US invaded.

The neocons who control Washington wanted and planned to invade Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran(in that order) even before they took office in 2001(it just required, in their words "A Catalyzing and Catastrophic event, like a new pearl harbor" to get their wishes)

So...

Would you support a strike against Iran, even if deep down(like Iraq)
you knew the reasons Bush gave were total bullshit?

Do you think an attack on Iran will be narrowly averted, or do you think policy makers in Washington are hellbent on going in?

And...will mere lies like the lies that got us into Iraq be enough?
Or will a "suspiciously convenient" attack on a US ship, embassy or city
and automatically "blamed on Iran" be needed?

This is a very real, very scary reality we are facing. People in Washington DC, Israel and Europe are hellbent on creating a war with Iran, and some idiots in the Iranian government are willing to play up their role as "the bad guys".

However, NOT ONE person in the US should believe a damn word Bush says. If a terror attack happens in America and its blamed on "al Qaeda and Iran", dont believe it. If a ship is attacked and its blamed on "Hezbollah/Iran", dont buy it.

The war on terror is a total Orwellian scam, and weve been lied to and put under constant fear since the September 11th attacks...an event that itself
was clearly not exactly what we were lead to believe came from.
Not even Osama bin Goldstein appearing on tv can fool people anymore.

If everyone is complaining about the war in Iraq, just WAIT til Bush invades Iran and takes away all our freedoms and rights.

America's government is antipathic towards such a large conspiracy. Do you truly believe that one man, Bush, could lie and cheat and trick the whole Representative branch into going to war without at least some idea why?

And what would be his motivation? Remember Hanlon's Razor? "Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity."

It makes perfect sense as to why we did not bail on Iraq. Are we really to beleive the US cares about freedom and democracy in Iraq, but not within it's own borders? The real question is are the claims of Iran that they have nukes a reality or are they a last attempt to avert an invasion through fear.

From a puely political POV it would make sense for Iran to detonate a nuke like North Korea did. The only thing that will stop the US is the potential cause for a country to use nukes to defend itself. The body count, environments problems, and world implications to such an event would be a massive deterrent.

Does Iran actually have nukes? If they do it is an inevitability that they will be launched during an invasion. Actually I should npot say launched. Iran should be well aware of the anti missile capabilities of the US arsenal, so the delivery method of the nukes would have to be land based and completely secretive. Dirty are almost a guarantee given they do have manufacturing capability and have been using it.

It would make sense that Bush is planning an attempt. He has been covering his a** with new laws that he hopes will protect him from violation of international law. He is not going to be president forever, and the powers that be might be looking to get their invasion and hang his a** out to dry as the patsy. As we see in Iraq once the power structure is removed we would be obliged to help. Bush could find himself given over to the demanding world as a peace gesture by the next president while the invasion is already accomplished. If I were Bush I would let the next president (AKA tool) deal with the invasion. Of course, I do not think he is that bright, and they have him thinking he is a hero fighting a world against him. He is alone and less than two years from the end of his political power.

The problem is it is not time yet to stop the march. It is obvious despite their hot air the democrats support him. Unless we wish to beleive that "Please don't do that or we might get mad" is going to actually do something. The rest of the world isn't much better. It is obvious that all the people in power have given Bush their permision by offering up no real opposition. Perhaps it is time people faced a good size body count and remembered what a real war is all about. Bullet wounds suck, but radiation poising and burns are hell on troop morale and the desire to fight.
