Hello, and welcome to khiro’s first art contest! This contest is being held so that my dear original character Kaien will have somebody to love~ You’ll find out about Kaien and his background a bit later on, but let’s get the technical stuff out of the way first!

Comments: Welp, since Kaien keeps getting mistaken for a girl, who's to say that the ladies man doesn't mistake him for one, too? >3 Though Ozrick would like to point out that he can seduce anyone, not only teh ladies. He's used to cold temperatures so the warm (assuming it's warm since of what Kaien wears. <_< wink climate forces him to wear much less clothing than he usually does. >D NYAHA, MAN-CHEST.
;_; Just because the background doesn't do anything justice... [X] without bg. So Ozbutt's hair is noticable. God I talk a lot in the comments.

Personality: He's more quiet but thats because he cares not to talk to those who do not interest him. He can turn into half cat or full cat if need for battle (full cat would do no good but his final form shadow cat would think of him as a black panther)
Adding story for Kaien: Damian saw the boy being harassed by other men probably sexually harrassed, Damian simple walks up taps the guy on the shoulder and punches him square in the face, he takes out the other two by throwing two daggers into their chests. Damian helps Kaien up and starts to talk with him, he takes him out courting him though it's not usually in his nature (it's a special occasion)

General
Name: Vadin

Nick Name: Vaye

Origin of Name: Sanskrit (India) "Of unknown meaning."

Gender: Male

Real Age: 19

Looking Age: 21

Occupation: He has worked with crafting fine jewelry out of material and precious stones he finds on his hunts as a hobby ever since he was a child. Since his hair stands out in most of the forest-like surroundings, he hunts from a distance. Swift and skilled with his long bow and arrow.

Family: The family and the origin of from which they came is unknown. A few of the people from his village found him abandoned as an infant when they were hiking up a mountain, looking to attain special berries required to make perminate "tatoos".

Appareance
Skin: An iced cream coffee.

Eyes: Inviting almond shaped, Amethyst eyes.

Hair: Extreamly long, silky hair. It falls to just above the back of his knees of a nice, artic white colour.

Body Build: Rather tall, lightly toned, and lean.

Notes on Appareance: His height of 6'2" doesn't seem to throw anybody from hitting on him. Many, both women and men, tend to fall for Vadin. It must be because of his soft, appealing features he holds, which would make him a perfect bride if he were only female.

Clothing & Accessories
Clothing/Accessories: Traditionally, Vadin hardly is ever seen in a shirt. But even though this is so, for some reason he can never gain any colour to his skin. Vadin takes pride in his one-of-a-kind blood red leather pants that he tucks into calf-high tundra boots. Talk about a way to stand out. If he is not carrying his long bow and quarry of bows strapped to his back, one might always see him with am artic fox skin tied around his waist. Attatched to this is a small, deep-grey pouch in which he keeps his valubles and any goodies he might come across.

Markings/Tattoos: He bears a wonderful tribal pattern laced with delicate purple flowers down his back. This is hardly ever seen though, since his hair is always pushed and kept behind his shoulders.

Personality: At first glance he seems to be quite the mysterious one, serious at what he does. But when he spots you looking in his direction, he'll crack a smug smile. Vaden is a man who knows how to get what he wants, making him very playful and straightforwards at times. Possibly intimidating to those not used to this type of behavior. He also is equipped with an odd sense of humor and finds teasing those around him a bit. Despite all this and his complex nature, at heart he can be very loving and over protective.

OH AND: Lexx thinks he's straight, but would make an exception for Kaien. I didn't really like the idea of him being bisexual. I'd rather he made an exception for a guy he really, really liked. Like, at first Lexx is attracted to him because he thinks that Kaien is a she. Anyway, then he still is attracted to him after he knows he's a he. So their personalities end up clicking as well.

On his way he met a man who seemed to be in the middle of sword training, this man had glowing blue eyes and long flowing blonde hair, his name was Drakaris Nitare... the rest was writting out in love. <3

Personality: A very kind and gentle boy from a rural village. He’s about average height and build for his village, but in comparison to a typical male he’s very small in comparison to an average male. It also sometimes seems as though Kaien is two separate people, his normal self and his hunter self. Often when he’s in a hunt he’s a swift and efficient killer, but as his ‘normal’ self Kaien wouldn’t harm a fly if he could help it.

Story: Kaien comes from a small village in the Eastern portion of the world. His village is a hunter/gather society and tries to keep any and all contact with the outside world to minimal contact. Since Kaien is now 16, he is now at the age where he must prove himself as a ‘man’ by finding himself a bride and returning back to the village within two years, as is the tradition of the village. Unfortunately Kaien begins running into some problems, since a fair amount of people mistake him as a female. However, in Kaien’s travels he comes across a male who is very good at attracting and seducing females. Kaien decides to follow him and try to learn from him, but who is this man…? That’s where you come in!

For those of you who want to enter but have no idea where to go in terms of clothing/what I would make for Kaien's seme (if I were to make the seme on my own) the clothing design would probably be like these (that sort of time period):

Also, for those of you who are doing bios...something that I personally like/makes me like a seme more...at least for this contest is if you write how your character/seme and Kaien meet and would interact!

Q: What is a seme?
A: In a yaoi, shounen-ai, or male/male realtionship a seme is the dominant one, the giver so to speak...

Q: Is this a private art contest?
A: Nope~This contest is open to anyone who wants to enter so if you have the time please do *_*

Q: What does WIP stand for?
A: Work In Progress...basically if you're working on something and just want to show me what you have so far you can just go ahead and show the WIP, or if it's getting close to the deadline, but you have a bunch of other deadlines eating you, if you post a WIP, you get a small extetntion, like a week...

Q: Are there any entry fees?
A: Of course not~ This contest was done to encourage creativity so why should I charge you to create a character =O?

QL Who is judging this contest?
A: Me and Hinoseme =D

Q: What will you be judging the entries on?
A: I will be juding the seme as a whole, whatever you submit as your entry is what I will be juding on, as well as how much creativity/effor that you put into your entry! However, the main that I will be focusing on whether not it's someone that Kaien could fall in love with.

Q: Do I have to draw to enter the contest?
A: No, you do not have to be able to draw to enter this contest. There is a seperate category for just a written profile if you don't feel confident in your art.

Q: So we can basically draw the seme and write up a profile/personality for him, as well, in the same entry, right?
A: Yes, you can sumbit them in the same entry, although at this point I'm not sure if I'll judge them together, or seperate if you turn them in at the same time!

Q: Do I have to write up a profile?
A: No, again it's optional, but if you don't write up a profile I might make up a profile for him, so please be aware of that!

Q: How detailed does the profile have to be?
A: No that detailed if you're submitting art, I just require just a bit about his personality. However, if you're just submitting a writen piece, then I would preffer a full on profile, in a similar style to how I wrote Kaien's profile.

Q: If I wanted to write a scene or scenario with my seme/character and Kaien could I do that?
A: O.O Go for it! That would be most awesome and it would help to show how the two characters would interact and give me a better idea of the character's persnality or what their interaction would be.

Q:Can we enter a collaboration?
A: Yes~ Although the prizes are the same so how you split that up will be up to you.

Q: Does the seme have to be human...?
A: Nope...I preffer more human/human-ish formed seme though!

Q: What time period or sort of universe does the story place in?
A: Any, as in it could potentially take place in any sort of Universe~ I don't have a real time set/era type in mind, since if you wanted to make the seme from modern/current/future times I can work with that, but ideally it's more like RPG-verse as in standard RPG worlds (think Lunar), where everyone lives in little villages and there are only like one or two huge towns! So something medival-ish is more ideal, but whatever you want it to be!

Q: Does it have to be colored, or can it be just a sketch?
A: It can be a sketch if you desire, but I would preffer it to be colored, or to have some sort of color refferences

Q: Should it be waist up? Whole body pic?
A: Again, it's up to you, but I would preffer a whole body drawing so I can get an idea of how his entire outfit would look

Q: About how old should the character look/be?
A: I would preffer him to be in the 17-28 age range, but basically as long as he isn't dramatically older than Kaien it should be ok!

Q: For the Seme character, is there anything spacific that you would want in terms of clothing wise and apperance?
A: Apperance-wise as long as he's taller than Kaien, that's my main concern. In terms of clothing I would preffer not modern/current sort of clothing, but if you want to put him/them in modern clothing feel free because I can actually work it into the plot~

Q: If I don't like Kaien's outfit or I want to draw him in something else can I?
A: Sure, feel free to design a new costume for him and feel free to play around with the design of his current costume!

Q: Should the character really look like a seme/ hot and older)?
A: I understand that everyone has different art styles and that it might not necessarily be easy for you to make a character that looks 'seme' so no, if it isn't in your art style you don't need to try and make him look seme!

Q: Is the design of the clothes very important?
A: Not really, since I will be judging the seme as a whole, but a nice outfit can only help you~

Q: So...I'm creating a character for this contest, but can I still do other things with the character I created?
A: Yes, the character is completely yours, you will be credited for creating the character and you can do whatever you want with the character, but I will be using the character you created in my manga/story!

Q: How is this contest being funded?
A: My lovely most awesome kouhai is funding it *_* She knows who she is and she is so much luff ;O; heart *owes so much to kouhai ;o;*

Mmm I would have to say it would depending on the quaility/detail of the pixel. If it's something that I could draw and change into a full on original character then probably, but a pixel/doll would be at a disadvantage compared to like a full on art piece.
