i've never had a valentine but i'm not bitter about it, and i don't resent couples on valentine's day but everyone is so much more all over each other and it was a little weird

I completely agree, when Valentines would come around it confused me all the time. I would get candy or card but I didn't understand why they were giving it to me. Did candy = vanlentine? In my head it did. sweatdrop

seriously, that actually would give me a bit of anxiety because there were a couple people that i had to feeling liked me and i'm not interested in getting into a relationship right now, so i was almost terrified someone was going to come to school with gifts for me and try and ask me out, because when it's on a day like valentine's day and when they buy you gifts it becomes even more painful to turn them down, it feels horrible

Hmmm I think because I was clueless and oblivious I really couldn't take a hint. Valentines day sounds very stressful for you.

once i knew that no one was going to ask me out i was good, i was able to just enjoy the day, and the nice thing is my dad is probably going to come home with candy for me so i don't have to miss out on the fun of getting chocolate
