Arron glanced at the elf, then promptly disappeared down the hatch, locking it behind him.

Daenes scowls and slinks out of the thread, her prey gone.

With a familiar sound of a hatch opening, Kate left one room to check. Although when she arrived, the hatched had been locked shut. No surprise, Daenes was here. Before she could say a word to her, the demon had escorted herself out. Well, that played out fast.

Walking up to the hatch, she knocked on it. "She's gone, Arron."

There was the sound of the hatch being unlocked. Arron opened it & cautiously looked around. "Are y-you s-sure..?" he asked.

The doll looked down, an aggrivated noise emerging as she tried to scrape the gum from her shoe by scooting it along the ground. "Take the man whose gift that is, for example: he wanted so badly to have you know his existence but didn't have the backbone to even say hello, let alone give you a stupid gift. Of course, I showed him that he did, indeed, have one but he just fell to pieces."

She erupted into a bout of giggles, holding a hand over her painted mouth.

Oh! I like this doll! Can we keep her?? asked the spirit.

Kate's eyes widened and had grown silent hearing the doll's words. There was no motion to flip to the next page. So the dried blood she spied on the pen knife earlier was possibly the latest victim? There was no way she wanted to help her now.

"I change my mind..." The spell book shut itself and vanished. She stood and stared down at Suzie. "Just because someone can't proclaim their love for someone doesn't mean you should go attacking them. Emotions and reasons always hold us back. And as for you, if you try anything on me I'll make sure you end up as a pile of ashes." Her apologetic and caring voice had turned serious.

Ooooo, temper temper. I like, child. Try not to go too overboard. You know nothing on controlling fire magic.

She looked over in the direction the demon had left. There was no sight of her. "Seems like it. I could always set up a barrier to keep Daenes out in case she plans on returning."

She couldn't help but laugh at the name Minty had given her magic. "Witchy Crafty? That's a silly name, Minty."

Arron climbed out completely. "If it-it doesn't m-make y-you weak th-that w-would be lovely..." he said. The Lythcol mechanic did not want to hurt his friend for such a request, but he was frightened by the elf & her demon companion.

"Is it?" Minty look genuinely puzzled, "I guess it is. I'm not very good a serious things."

She had never used any sort of barrier spell around Arron before? She recalled using one against Lyth back on Halloween but he wouldn't know his actions. Just for both of their safeties, Kate had to lie. "Of course not!" she said with confidence. "Won't take much energy at all."

"Well, if you had said just witchcraft, then it would be serious," she explained, smiling afterwards. "But Witchy Crafty? I just can't help but laugh."

"Witchy crafty sounds cuter though." Minty nodded, "And you're cute, so it makes sense! Right?"

"I know, I know. I'm positive, though, so no need to worry." Kate took a trip over to the exit where Daenes had left. She stuck her hand out and pictured her surrounding area before casting the spell. A clear barrier was set around the thread. A relieved smile was set as she turned back to Arron. "All done."

You do understand if she's hiding somewhere inside, this nulls the point of your silly spell.

I watched her leave. We'll be safe.
