Define gothic, for some view it as those who wear mostly black. Some, it is a style of appearance that sets you apart.... then for others still the music you listen to.

goth

A style of rock music, noted especially for somber or ethereal tones and lugubrious lyrics.
A performer or follower of this style of music.

Therion and Nightwish are the only goth bands i can think of / listen to. neutral
Generally, the "goths" of today are more into psuedo punk rock with dark, gloomy lyrics.


Nightwish is symphonic rock/goth metal

If i listened to them just because of the genre, what would that make me? rofl

Sure, why not? Black is a loverly color, darkness within a song sways multitudes.... it can be viewed as loverly. twisted Especially as the flames begin to crawl.

Goth: A term used to describe a genre of music (2) A kind of viking.
Gothic: A type of architecture,a way of life, etc.
There are so many things that goth can mean.
To anyone who thinks that they are "goth" Tell me, what MUST a goth wear?
