All these people calling each other names simply because they're affiliated with a certain political party.

'Oh, you're a democrat? Let me proceed to call you a lazy obese bum who is the 47% and mooches off of government because I'm extremely biased. Smaller government ftw, healthcare is a personal thing so let's sacrifice millions of people who are in need of healthcare just so I could say "No" to health insurance and vaccinations.'

'Oh, you're a republican? You must be some rich bible thumper who wants to put the bible into women's vaginas and give tax breaks to the actual lazy mofos that don't need it.Legalize abortion and weed, 666 420 blaze it fggt. God isn't real, atheism ftw.'

Or you guys ******** retarded or what? (note I'm not relating your possible lack of intelligence based on what your political party is! *le gasp* )
I've seen others correlate that "Oh they're lazy they must be a democrat" from what they have observed from a person they know. Or they already know these things and somehow connect them together simply because they're biased and have an extreme disliking to another political party that has different views with them.

Why can't everyone be objective and reasonable without trying to put down other people?
neutral

afterthought: I don't think Romney is taking the loss as hard as all of you conservatives. He's still ******** rich.

It is human nature that when something they fully believe might be wrong, they blame others. Often the people saying it are the worse of the group who actually don't know what they are talking about or even their own political standing. To them it is "I am right and you are wrong" and if they can't show something that proves 100% that the other person is wrong they resort to insults and slurs.

Ah, I seem to forget that at times.
But yes, it is human nature to react in such a way.

There's also nothing I can really do much either, except let everyone bash their brains out.

That is the fun of it though. I am just sitting back and watching people be stupid and then pointing out their stupidity. Honestly being a Dem, I am a bit bias and I know this. However I guarantee if Romney won the Dems would be just as bad.

I don't disrespect democrats/modertes that lean left. I've been disrespected a lot in this forum though. It was like non-stop attack. lol. People assumed I was a housewife, religious, and assumed I was against gay marriage/abortion. It's just like really? Where I'm from in Texas, there's a lot of liberal republicans. What we stress is being fiscally responsible and supporting energy, and that's what really sets us apart from democrats. I wouldn't say we are super advertising pro-choice or pro-gay marriage, but WE DON'T CARE. We don't care what your lifestyle is, what your choices are, or what you do in your bedroom. So, why not. As for a woman's role, I am modest and I am somewhat dependent on a man (but I do have a job), but that doesn't make me any less of a female than feminists. If I want to kick it like the 50's, I have the right to do so. Again, if you want respect on your lifestyle choices, you've got to respect mine too.

More people stood up for the gay parents in Texas than they did in New York in the show What Would You Do?

I don't jump on a republican unless they are like the ones the OP illustrated. I have republican friends who mean the world to me. I'll never get pissed at them unless they go on to make assumptions about me like people have in this thread and other online threads.

IMO, things are still going to go slow if Dems and Repubs keep this bullshit up.

Repubs in The House are probably still going to shoot down most of what Obama might try to do because they don't like him.

I really hope, for this term, both sides shut the hell up and actually work together to fix the country at a faster pace. emotion_eyebrow

Isn't this how it goes pretty much after each election?

What surprises me is that I am yet to see someone post ''America is ********'', gotta admit the posts are more creative this year. xd

Ikr? I think that's one of the main reasons why nothing much happened in Obama's first four years. The House kept shooting down everything he was trying to do and pushed so little. Imagine how things would be now if they actually gave his bills a chance?

I mean, yea, international relations are greater than they ever was before, but c'mon man. How are we supposed to fix this country when both sides continue to bicker at each other like this?

The congress is an absolute mess, and NO president will get much of ANYTHING done with them swearing to never pass a single bill the other party has touched. There so much they could have worked on by now if they were focused on compromise and moving the country forward no matter what. Instead, they're focused on never retreating and trying to appease the the more extreme parts of their party for votes, which encourages the country to remain as polarized as it is.
Both parties need to focus in on their more centrist parts so they can compromise more easily and get some things done. I'm not sure how the country will weather it if they keep playing chicken on every major issue.
(The budget is a major one. Both sides refuse to give until the last possible moment, then one side says "******** it, fine, just don't ruin the damn country being stubborn" and then they do it again the next year. That is NOT solving problems, congress)

I tend to be a little more Democratic ( bah who am I kidding, I'm practically a Socialist ) but I still use reason and I don't like to vote based on colours. Red is actually my favourite colour! blaugh

I'm very sorry that happened to you. It irks me in general when people assume a person is a certain political stereotype the first time they discover their "political" alignment.
Which is why I usually keep whatever the hell I align myself to, to myself--just to avoid the s**t I get at times.
