The President are given the opportunity to veto.

Also: The congress can vote down his vetoed proposition if 2/3rds vote against it, as long as the final preparations are not completed.

Or something among those lines. User Image

Obama had four.
Bush had eight.
Eight years of damage>Four years of repairs.

Ugh. This.

If you honestly think 4 years is enough to completely turn around all these bad things, please look back at history.

If it was a long enough time, re-election wouldn't be possible. But it's obviously an option for a reason.

Same for Romney, he couldn't possibly accomplish what he hopes to do in a meager 4 years. He hasn't even explained how he would do all of it.

Change takes time, people.

yes, congress can vote against his veto by 2/3rds majority.
But it is voted on by one house of congress and if there is a 2/3rds majority, then it is sent to the other.
They both have to have the 2/3rds majority seperately, not them both as a whole. surprised

Congress and the president were pretty much just at a stand still, they practically couldn't compromise on anything. emotion_facepalm

Since politics usually involve acting like you're still in kindergarten, answer a d**k move with another d**k move: Filibuster!

No, we should completely ignore Bush when considering the problem that he made. That's a much better idea.
I mean, it's been four years.

GOP made it clear they'd prevent Obama from getting anything done since the get go. They actually said that.

Just throwing that out there.

No. Just stop right there..
Bush did not bring this economy down!!
If people would just do a little bit of research you'd know that it was in fact bill Clinton that ruined America!! Ever since he made it legal for huge businesses to move work/business over seas.. Millions of jobs were lost as a result and then it just got worse from there! & Obama just made everything worse!
Romney just wants this country to be what it once was.. GREAT!!!

I would like to refer you to the post above, "GOP made it clear they'd prevent Obama from getting anything done since the get go. They actually said that."

And then I would like to refer you to this article:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/10/1118614/-Biden-Mitch-McConnell-vowed-no-cooperation-with-the-Obama-administration-from-the-get-go

Obama didn't make things worse, The Republicans in congress prevented him from making it better.

So, instead of the guy who turned a positive trend negative within his first few years via unnecessary tax cuts before getting us into multiple wars which he basically used credit for, we're going to blame the one president since Nixon who's managed to create a positive trend?
Interesting.
