Romney's not going to cause abortion to be banned nation-wide or shut down Planned Parenthood or get rid of Medicare. It wouldn't happen. The majority of people wouldn't allow it to happen.
Obama on the other hand is going to cause people to pay more taxes, is going to increase the debt, is going to increase the unemployment rate, isn't going to do anything for gay marriage, is going to cause less income, is going to continue to punish the wealthy for being successful and working hard for their money, and overall cause people to rely heavily on the government for everything while the nation continues to plumet because he doesn't want to actually do the work.
Yeah no, Obama
has done things to further gay rights. Plus, the rich
deserve to be taxed more. Hell, I say they should have their taxes raised by ten percent if not
more.
You like to whine about "punishing success" it's not punishing success at all, it's seeing that they pay their fair share! Oh boo hoo they have to pay maybe an extra two dollars on things,
big deal. Tax cuts for the rich has
never gotten this country out of a recession. Throwing more money at billionaires and hoping that they would "sprinkle everything with their magical job creating pixie dust" is just a plain
stupid economic policy.
It's
you republicans that always like to spout the lines that "more welfare means people will be lazy and will stop working to live off of the government's teat" how is that
any different than the rich having lower taxes? They do NOT use low taxes to "create jobs" they use it to buy more things for themselves or just hoard their cash. The rich having
more money will not fix this country.
Do you want to know what WILL fix this country?
Raise taxes on the rich at least back to the clinton years, perhaps even a bit further. Replace Obamacare with a Universal Healthcare system covered by the government. Slash a few billion dollars from the military's budget (I'd say roughly 100 billion would be good enough) increase spending on education and healthcare. Raise the minimum wage. Seal up tax loopholes. Finally, use some of the extra money in taxes/cuts to the military to encourage studies in clean energy along with building nuclear power plants to free us from oil dependency.
And before you say "But that's
socialism!" I actually
am a Socialist, petty political "insults" like that wont work on me. If you wish, I'm more than willing to discuss the values of a Socialist system compared to our current one, but don't expect me to consider ideas that are "socialist" in nature to somehow be seen as "evil" in my eyes.
