Is there anyone else on here who uses kettlebells? I just started a routine of 100 swing a day on each arm with a 20 lb kettlebell. If you've worked/work with kettlebells, please share your success, goals, and/or advice here. biggrin
I use 'em, mostly just doing KB swings during some of my CrossFits. KB swings are a pain, but they make for a good workout.
I've used them but I'm not a fan. I find them too limiting. Strength training offers numerous benefits but the primary objective should always be to get stronger. The heaviest kettlebell I've seen was 40 lbs (there may be heavier), but I can load practically unlimited weight on the barbell. The cardio and explosive power benefits put forward by kettlebell enthusiasts can be obtained by doing barbell complexes (Google them). Barbell complexes are fantastic for burning fat (one of the reasons I eat like a pig and carry 6% body fat). But if you find kettlebells fun then by all means swing away.
