A week ago, I did some benchpresses, and pushed myself quite a bit and ended up sore for nearly a week. After resting my triceps for about that week, I feel as if they're finally no longer sore. Today, when I went in to do benchpresses again, I couldn't even pull the strength to do half the reps of what I usually do. I'm guessing I just need to regain my strength, but are there some recommended foods to eat to help this? Please give feedback. emotion_bigheart

Spaghetti or almost any kind of pasta. Stay away from really greasy foods. Load up on carbs!

This.
Try to get 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight every day.
Thanks for the tip.. rofl

Whenever I've gone all out on weights, my first meal when I get home is usually a bowl of tuna, tons of nice proteins and nutrients for recovery, sometimes I'll have some toast with PB as a snack later. By morning I'm back to 100%

Potassium from bananas is a must, eat a banana every time you push yourself that hard. You shouldn't need a weeks recovery, you must have pulled/tore something.
