Helen lounged in her room, as was per usual for the blue-haired young woman. She held a long, thin cigarette holder in one hand, watching smoke spiral into the air from the cig it held. It was not a normal cigarette, but one she'd rolled herself, a mos of different herbs that sent a thick, sweet-smelling blueish smoke into the air. It had gathered in thick clouds all around the dorm and Helen watched as the smoke curled and spiraled, forming shapes and images, sleepy teal-coloured eyes reading the signs the Fates painted for people like her to see. Eventually, she grew bored with it and waved a hand through the smoke, scattering the images, before opening the nearby window. A fresh breeze swooped in, stirring the msoke before dissipating it, only the sweetish smell lingering.

Helen sighed and stretched out along her bed before standing, smoothing out her clothing. She didn't wear things like jeans and t-shirts, instead favoring draping, comfortable chitons of soft fabrics, usually in calm shades of blue and grey. She went barefoot unless the terrain was rough, when she wore rather ornate sandles. Today's chiton went jsut to her knees and was a shimmering blue color. She also wore silvery bangles around each ankle that chimed as she walked. Helen left the door after snuffing out the cigarette and wandered down the hallway, wondering who was going to be showing up.

Until the day she had been sent to the school, Helen had lived with her family on an island off the coast of Greece, and island that was sheilded from outsiders by special spells and magics and, some said, the influence of the gods of anceint times. Helen would have remained there her entire life and been happy, but the god Hermes had come to Helen's grandmother in a dream. The god of travel and messenger of Olympus, he had said that Helen was to be sent out into the world beyond the island, to learn. Helen was not happy about being made to leave her home and come ot this school, but at least the place promised to be interesting, with all the different races that lived there.

"Bye, Mom!" Amilia said before leaving the house. She didn't live in the dorms. But, She always thought about it.She sighed, Getting on her bike and riding down the hill road. She nearly hit a parked car, But stopped right on time. She started laughing a bit. "I almost hit her car." Amilia backed up and began to ride to school again. She smiled, Seeing one of her friends. "Hi!" She waved." She couldn't ride with one hand and she fell to the ground in the middle of the road. Her friend ran over quickly and helped her up. "Be more careful, Amilia!" He said.Amilia sighed. "Sorry, Kori." She said, Picking her glasses up from the ground. "Aw.They're busted..." She frowned. She reached into her bag and pulled out a glasses case.It was a good thing she had extra. She waved goodbye and went off to school again. "Hey, Isn't to early to go to school?!" Kori called, Amilia not hearing. She was to busy singing.

Amilia let out a long, Relieved sigh.Only two accidents today.Good.She parked her bike and went inside, Humming a song. She sung quietly and walked down the hall, Just noticing she was early. She didn't hear Kori when he told her.She groaned. "Why me?!" She said.

Upon hearing a rather loud, frustrated sounding exclamation, Helen frowned a bit and wandered towards the source, the bangles around her ankles chiming softly as she walked. She spotted a brown haired girl wearing glasses and looked rather annoyed, perhaps at the fact that she'd discovered that she had arrived long before most of the school's staff and students were even awake. "Why not you?" Helen asked once she was standing within the girl's earshot, "Everything happens for a reason, so, why not happen to you?" That was something her mother and grandmother often said to Helen, especially when she was a child. Everything happened for a reason, which was why she was never to try and change something she had seen in a vision. Even if it were an omen of death for someone very dear to her, she was not to intervene unless it was made clear that she was meant to.

Though her question had been rhetorical, Helen was still curious what the girl's answer would be. She folded her hands together as she awaited a response, sleepy teal eyes lazily taking in the other girl's appearence. She looked wind-blown and a little scraped up - she must have had quite a trip getting to the school.

Amilia turned around quickly, Nearly falling from her balance. "Hm?Why not me?I guess things do happen for a reason, Right?" She smiled. She just realized another thing. She forgot her bag at where she seen her friend. "Oh dear..." She sighed. "Um.If you will excuse me, I forgot my bag, So I need to get it." She said. "I'm terribly sorry. You can wait here while I go get it.It's not so far away." She said. "I hope..." She said after a little pause. "Anyway, I need to go get it!My wallet, Books and manga are in it!My phone too!" She said. "I-if it's alright with you, We can meet in the gym?" She asked with a small smile. She was sort of an idiot at times. She ran in place, Waiting for an answer.

Helen watched the girl nearly topple over, smiling a bit. It was nice to see someone full of such energy; it reminded her of people she knew back home. At the girls 'suggestio nthat they meet in the school's gymnasium, Helen nodded and said, "Alright then. I shall see you there....my name is Helen, by the by." Then, she turned and wandered off in the direction of the school's gym so that the girl could go and get whatever it was she had dropped earlier that day. There was no one else there, but Helen didn't mind. It was very quiet, and she liked the quiet. She sat down on the bleachers, looking up at the ceiling, sighing a bit. This school was very strange, and very unlike her island home. She sighed a bit, not sure if she would like it here or not. "Wise Athena, grant me patience," Helen murmured as she propped her head in her hands, looking down at her slightly blurry reflection in the highly polished hardwood floor of the gymnasium..

Amilia smiled. "Thank you!" She said and ran off. "My name's Amilia. You can call me Amy, Though!" She said as she went out, Waving to her.She sighed. "Today is full of trouble." She said. She ran out of the school's entrance and down the sidewalk to the place she forgot her bag at.She ran in place again, Waiting for all the cars to pass. She ran across and stopped for a break, Hands on her knees, Bent down and panting. She was a quick runner, And that made her out of breathe quickly. She started again and got to the spot. She didn't see it and looked under cars. She moaned. She seen it across the street on a bench and ran over, Getting it quickly. She sat down for a split second and got up, Running back to the school.

She opened the gym doors and walked in, Seeing Helen. "Ah!I'm back!" She said, Running over. "Sorry if you had to wait long, Helen." She apologized. "Someone was nice enough to set it on a bench so it wouldn't get ran over." She said. She reached into her bag and got out her busted glasses. "I need to get these repaired. They fell off when I fell off of my bike on my way to school." She said, Giggling softly. "I'm really clumsy."

Helen had produced a deck of tarot cards, shuffling them to keep her hands busy while she waited for Amy to return from...wherever she had gone. Helen hadn't really been listening, though she'd understood that she had forgotten something apparently important. She looked up from the shuffling cards just as Amy returned, looking quite out of breath, now with a backpack in hand. "You look like you've run a marathon," Helen commented as she continued to shuffle the cards, head titled slightly to the side as Amy sat down. "I didn't have to wait long, no," she said, "But patience is a virtue." Yet another lesson that Helen had learned from her mother and grandmother; sometimes, when the future did not wish to reveal its secrets to you, you had no other choice but to be patient and wait until all became clear.

Helen peered at Amy's broken glasses, saying quietly, "Well, that's too bad - at least you had a spare set." She motioned to the pair of glasses now perched on the young woman's face. Helen paused in her card-shuffling and set them aside, folding her hands in her lap. "Have you been to this school before Amy?" she asked the girl, curious to know more about her.

Kitayo Nohisu

Kitayo Nohisu, recently an addition to the teaching population at Yoru Academy, was walking forward. Half of the path to the school stretched behind her and she kept her determined eyes locked on the building. Students would quickly realize there was no goofing in her class unless goofing was permitted for that day. Under the slight fluid pressure that was in the air around her, her midnight black wings were hungry for lift. The twin wings lay folded and at rest against her back. Kitayo knew her things were in the classroom that she were to teach in, but which classroom that was- she wasn't informed.

The cold metal door handle felt odd in her delicate left hand. With a light skip-step, she was in the building and looking around. Her violet eyes were as cold at the metal skull that was resting on her upper stomach. Instead of her super small ribbon she wore as underwear, today she wore something more suited for school; a small, dark violet skirt. In the front in cut off about half way to the knees and in the back it billowed to her mid calf. Her small yet tall stature must've seemed out of place, because she felt like she was. Kitayo proceeded to climb the stairs and search for the classroom students would enter and learn under her wing.

Aramora Tyre Kisten

The First Plague Demon --&
<-- Twenty-One~Single~Female

History Buff

Born March 6th of 1327, Died February 21st of 1349, Resurrected June 30th of 1374

Aramora, tired and sluggish from the sun beating down on her undead skin, finally felt a rush of cold air as she opened the door. Happy that the sun wasn't harming her insides any longer, she took a look around. After taking a sharp turn left, she saw large doors. Double-doors. Wooden and carved with intricate patterns of vines and flowers, the doors opened to reveal a large library with walls lined with books of all heights, widths, and colors. Farther back was a desk of a librarian. The humanoid behind the desk nodded to her and took notice of her presence. Aramora entered slightly hesitant and ran her fingers over the spines of the books. An unmistakable smile wormed it's way across her lips and she pulled a thick and heavy book about WWII out and sat at a table, opening it and immediately diving into the words and engulfed herself with facts, theories, and even things she's lived through and knew were false.

Amilia thought for a second to answer her question. "Well, I learned at this school when I was eleven.I loved it, So my mother let me stay." She said to her. "I'm thinking about moving into the dorms, But I have no idea what it's like." She said with a soft sigh. "You live in the dorms, Right? What's it like?" She asked with a smile. "I'd need help packing and unpacking. But, Kori and mom could help." She said to herself. She waited for the answer and read a manga(Japanese comic book). She would often read shounen-ai(Boy Love). She didn't care what people thought of her.She would read anything, Really.Anything but something dumb and chick-flick like. She thought those were boring. To much romance and girl stuff to understand.Never having a boyfriend or girlfriend, She didn't really understand that romance stuff. And, She wasn't to much of a girl.
