The calmness that had settled was possibly the most comforting thing that Ielenia had felt in ages. While most would be petrified at the mere thought having such a large creature partially laying on them, Ielenia was only tempted to snuggle into the warmth that the so-far nameless wolf had to offer.
Her smokey eyes had started drift close when she realized something--the icy drops of rain were no longer pounding against her alabaster skin. She sat up a bit straighter from where she had begun to slouch in her moment of dozing off to look up in a confused manner only to be shocked. The rain was still falling relentlessly but there almost seemed as if an invisible sheild was protecting both her and her companion. As soon as the rain hit the sheild, it slid off and splashed onto the ground beside her. However, she soon noticed that there was a price to pay for such an amazing feat. She looked worriedly at the wolf in her lap as it let out a small whine, its' energy being drained quickly.
"A..Are you alright?" She questioned, her voice coming out a bit louder and more panicked than she had hoped. Ielenia stood quickly when her sleeve was tugged, not wishing for the creature to use more strength than necessary. The female voice that belonged to the wolf sounded once again in her head; However, it sounded much weaker than it had the last time she heard it. She noticed that she was being lead slowly to the tree she had been resting under before. Being worried about the well-being of her companion, she gently began helping her to the shelter, not noticing that the rain was soaking them again.
"Please, don't push yourself. I'll help you." She spoke gently as she finally got them under the tree, the leaves automatically serving their purpose and sheilding them from the downpour. Her back met the mossy bark of the tree as she sat down before she pushed the wolf into her lap as softly as possible. Her small hand began stroking the wolf's silver fur again as she let out a shuddering sigh, the chilliness of both the rain and wind combined finally catching up to her. She thought more of her companion's state than of her own discomfort though.
"Will you be okay..?" She asked, her voice returning to its' usual meek quality.
