What her parents had been thinking was beyond Sophie. Shoveling all four of their children into one single cab had to be the dumbest idea they'd ever had. Other than the time they tried to make Saxton and Scott share a room. There was no sane reason to insist that they ride to school together. For Zeus' sake, everyone knew how much Saxton and Scott argued. And that Saxton wouldn't hesitate to physically injure his elder brother. Needless to say the last hour in the car was the longest and deadliest Sophie had ever experienced.

"Go back to that slut serpent of a mother."
"Not two minutes into the ride and you had to start this, Saxxy-"
"Don't you dare call me Saxxy. You aren't my brother."
"We might not be related entirely by blood but we still share-"
"That man doesn't deserve to be called father."
                                              "Saxton."
"What! You agree with me, right?"
"Don't drag her into this, Saxx-"
"Just go back to hell, Scott."

Sophie sighed. The entire ride she had had to listen to their bickering. She was used to it, sure, but normally she could tune them out or go into another room. Not now. Apparently the excitement for another school year wasn't enough to quell their frustrations. Taking a moment to look around, Sophie noted that Skylar was standing a ways away with her hands pulled into her body and her focus on the school. Oddly enough it brought a light pain to Sophie's heart. She knew that Skylar didn't like Scott but Skylar'd never say a word to him. Good or bad.

                                              "Come now, little bro-"
                                              "Go away Scott!"

                                              Sophie snapped.

                                              "Enough, Saxton."
                                              "Soph-"
"I've had enough of listening to you two. Skylar has too."

At the mention of his sister, Saxton closed his mouth. He offered one last glare towards Scott before he bent down to gather his things. Quietly he walked to Skylar's side before they headed into the campus and towards their dorms.

Sophie shook her head before nodding to Scott and following after her other siblings. Scott just watched the triplets leave with a light pain in his chest. He too sighed before gathering his own things and proceeding to the dorms.

All four siblings managed to put their things in their dorms in a timely manner before heading to their unique destinations. Saxton tossed his bags in his room before striding to the first of the two lounges the school held. When he was alone he flopped onto the couch and closed his eyes; attempting to put the frustrations of the morning out of his mind. Skylar slid her bags under her bed before her stomach growled and she headed for the cafeteria. Her eyes lit up at the sight of no line and she bolted to get what she was craving; settling into the back corner chair after. Sophie put her things away, in drawers and in the closet, before retreating to the library for peace and quiet. Sick of arguing siblings. Scott threw his things in the room before making his way to the pool. He needed a quick soak to keep his head on strait.

o o c ;; stupid format is stupid - needed to combine all 4 siblings' posts... so it's dumb

In front of the school, a car seemed to drive itself up front. A backdoor opened and soon shut again. The trunk opened and out came two suitcases. It shut and drove off again. To those who could see the deceased, they would've seen Olive's dad driving the young poltergeist up front and driving off with a loving farewell. Being dead was odd, especially in travel. She couldn't get a license like other teenagers. Hell, her dad was running some serious risks driving her. He had to make himself visible on the road at all times, else it'd end up on 20/20 or something crazy. But whatever. She was here now. That was all that mattered. "Another year.." Olive said to herself. She picked up her bags and walked through the door.

Normally, it was required you wear a uniform. In fact, it was absolutely required. Being unseen by the majority of people had its perks. Not like they could often bust her. Sometimes, maybe. But all the time? No way! It wasn't even a technical class day. She was in the clear unless they changed some rules over the summer. Looking around, she recognized a few faces. She wasn't one for just going up and talking to people. A few people, definitely. Random strangers? Not so much.

Ever since she died, Olive wasn't much for people. She used to do ballet back when she was alive. Decent gymnast too. Now a days, she doesn't do sports anymore. She can't cross water and a lot of sports involve being seen by fellow teammates. Takes up energy she needs. She still danced, but on her own. As far as groups went, all she really had was art and art club. Not that she minded. She knew some people kind of like her in there. Hopefully they'd join again this year. Olive knew she would. Probably one of the few clubs she actually found an interest in. The sports were ruled out due to certain species restrictions. Gardening and drama didn't seem so appealing. Same with world culture. And the Student Government? Not at all her thing. She broke a few too many rules to jump on that boat.

Olive walked on down to the main office, joining the line for her dorm room key. Why the hell didn't she ask for it ahead of time? This was such a snore last year! Obviously, she learned A LOT in the year she spent here. Yup. A lot. Olive set her bags by her feet, so others knew it wasn't just an empty space in the line. She hated when people walked through her. It felt weird and irked her to no end. She took off her shades and positioned them up on her hat. Growing bored, she began toying with the end of her scarf too. Perhaps she'd find a friend in the sea of people.

The car pulled up front and Maurice stepped out of the vehicle, pulling his things out of the back. "You have your schedule?" "Yes, dad." "Dorm key?" "Yes, dad." With those parting words, Maurice walked into the building. He wasn't too close to anyone, even family. The Bishops weren't built on the idea of sugar coating. Maurice was here to improve his abilities. Plus, he simply liked the solitude. Was that so weird? People recognized him as he entered, the majority averting gaze. Maurice stood out. Tall, lean, scary. He didn't do much talking, and when he did, he was normally busting you for something. Some hated him, some completely feared him. Maurice frankly didn't care what side of the spectrum they were on; someone had to lay down the law and since he was chosen for the job, he'd do it. Business was business, and if business was being the less liked part of Student Council, he'd do it. Simple as that.

In silence, Maurice walked down familiar passageways to get to his dorm room. Didn't seem like his roommate was here yet, but he wasn't going to stick around to get to know him. This was his year to get down fire and water. Most elementals easily picked up two elements: fire or water, earth or air. Maurice's case was a strange one. He easily grasped earth and air, two polar opposite forces. Why? He had no idea. But whatever the reason, it didn't matter. He needed to come home knowing the other two. He'd need to start today.

Maurice put away his things, pondering where and what he'd practice. After a bit of thinking, he decided on water in the cafeteria. The river would be ideal, but surely there would be people walking around there. He wanted to be alone. The blonde set off for the cafeteria. The room, aside from lunch workers, was not completely deserted as he believed it would be. A girl sat in the corner of the room with a red tray. Maurice knew he'd seen her before, but he couldn't place a name. The name wasn't the issue. Her being there was. Nothing school code wise, but her watching him stumble over H2O wasn't his pictured situation. Maybe she'd just ignore him, or leave or... anything but stay. Maurice quietly got a bottle of water and shuffled to a table away from the corner she occupied.

'Just relax.' he thought. 'The odds of her watching you are very slim.' Maurice himself knew this was a lie, but he was content to go along with it for right now. The cap was twisted off and a small breath was taken. Maurice raised his hand up the bottle, managing to bring up a small, disorderly blob of water with him. As he turned his hand palm up to further manipulate the blob, it fell onto his hand, dripping off onto the table. That always seemed to be where things went wrong: when he began to move his hand. Maurice shook the water off his hand and tried again, but his second attempt ended the same way. His third attempt was better, as his hand turned without it moving. He couldn't help but smile a bit. He normally didn't show emotion, adding to his scarier attributes. That smile diminished as the blob collapsed onto his palm. "It's literally just water." Maurice said to himself. More trials went by in futile as he gradually grew more and more tense. If this was a precursor for the whole year, his dad wasn't going to be too pleased.

When Selena had left home, her little brother’s idea of flying to school had seemed fun and plausible seeing as her luggage had been sent ahead so that she didn’t accidently forget it so all she was taking with her was her purse. She didn’t even have to worry about people loking up and seeing her since most people automatically assumed either they were seeing things, or she was a bird, airplane or other flying object. But by the time that she could finally see the school in the distance, she could feel herself getting exhausted from all the flying and the idea was turning out much worse than she’d been expecting. But she couldn’t stop now, just about half a mile more and she would be able to land and finally rest. She gave a large flap of her wings as she glided in the air towards her destination

Selena gave a sigh of relief as she finally made it onto school grounds, now her only problem was landing, something she was still quite bad at. She tried to slow herself down as she looked around for an empty area for her to land in, but with no such luck. Either she’d have to very carefully go down in a small patch of grass around lots of students and trees, or she’d have to land on top of a building and risk scraping herself up. ”Too bad there isn’t a lake or something out here.” Selena thought out loud, after all she’d rather get herself wet than hurt someone, whether it be someone else or herself. But it turned out that she didn’t have to choose between the two as it was decided for her.

While Selena had been so caught up in looking around for somewhere to land, she hadn’t even noticed the building that she’d been gliding right towards and ended up hitting it with a loud thunk. As she hit the glass, she felt herself reflexively retract her wings as she fell a few feet to land on the ground. Good going… she scolded herself sarcastically as she got up and looked around, thankful to see that there wasn’t more than around ten students staring at her. She nervously gave a smile before quickly slipping around the corner of the building where she found the door leading into the building. She looked inside and was greeted by a familiar sight. The dorm building. Well, at least I didn’t have to look for it. Selena thought trying to be optimistic about her crash landing.

Moving as quickly and discretely as she could, Selena got her dorm key and moved to her room, she figured that she’d already done more than her fair share of embarrassing things for a morning and she wasn’t planning on doing any more. She slipped her key into the locked and gave it a turn to be rewarded with a very satisfying click as the door swung open and Selena went in simply to check and make sure that all of her things had arrived safely and in time. ”One...two...three…All here.” Selena counted as she gave a small grin, she was always one of those people that packed more things than they actually needed. But hey, better safe than sorry, right?

Once Selena was sure that all of her things were safely in her room, she left, she didn’t seem much of a point in staying in her room, she could just unpack later. But as she exited her room and locked the door she realized that she didn’t even have anywhere to go. She gave a small sigh as she dropped her keys into her small purse and tapped her chin in thought. ”Where would be a good place to find people?” She wondered out loud to herself in the empty hallway. ”I guess I’ll just wander for now.” Selena finally decided due to a lack of a better idea. She made her way outside into the bright sunlight and started towards the fountain in the middle of the school humming a light tune as she did. She would have sung, but if she got carried away, she didn’t want to be held responsible for people standing around in a daze.

A hamburger near her lips Skylar barely paid attention to what was happening around her. Until she spotted a male not far away playing with... "Water?" Tension tugged at her eyebrows as she watched the water exit the bottle before falling upon the male's hand. How odd. There were only a few things she could think of with the ability he was showing. But since there was more than one she wasn't entirely sure just what he was. An elemental seemed the most likely but she didn't know much about them. Nor did she trust in her own judgement. Well, not to that extreme.

The male continued to play with the water and Skylar watched. Yet the more he did so the more her curiosity stirred. Perhaps it was about time she stopped shoveling food into her face. "Sophie would say so." Quickly, she swallowed what was in her mouth before picking up her tray, and her courage, and striding to the male's table.

She sat down across from him without asking.

"You suck at that." She motioned towards his hands and the water. While she was impressed that he could even get the water out she wasn't naive. "Water's not your forte. But you seem to be improving quickly." Finally, a genuine comment. Something that those who knew her had come to value.

His suitcase was heavy, but Alexander was thankful to only have one. That and the backpack strapped tight on his back. It had been a hell of various modes of public transportation to get here, but thankfully the trip was over. Alex was back at Teras for his second year. It was strange how much smaller the building seemed already. He was sure it would be like the size of his suitcase by the time he was a senior, which would be perfect to stuff away all the knowledge and leave. He just couldn’t wait for that day.

In the meantime, however, he was stuck dragging the heavy bag the last distance between the main courtyard and the dormitories. For the fifth time that afternoon, Alexander glanced at the paper. Yup, still in the co-ed dorms with a stranger. A stranger who happened to be female, to boot. He didn’t really get along with people – heck he barely even spoke to other people most of the time – but girls were even harder to connect with for him. It wasn’t because they were too feminine to understand his male habits or even because their interests were that different. For some reason girls really did seem like they were from Venus and Alexander had simply missed the memo on how they were actually an entirely alien species.

With a deep breath, he managed to lug his things the rest of the way, claiming the other half of the room. The girl’s things were already there, sitting unthreateningly on the other side. Alex sneered at their presence nevertheless. They didn’t smell too girly, or look too girly… in fact they gave off no impression of this person he was spending a year with whatsoever. Not a single hint to her personality. Slowly he looked down, nearly hitting himself for acting so paranoid. It wasn’t like she would be a serial killer. It was just high school. Okay, a magical high school where weird stuff was prone to happen more often than not, but still.

With nothing better to do, Alex put his keys back in his pocket and grabbed his mp3 player, plugging up his ears with the little earbuds. He might as well jog around the campus. For all he knew he might run into someone he’d actually like to talk to. Better yet, he would run into no one, and just be able to run freely. Maybe he’d even transform at some point to freak out the freshman who weren’t used to seeing wolves run around the school grounds.

For now, he kept to his human form, singing quietly along to his song. “Who are you, to tell us who we are…” Alexander was no siren, but he had a decent voice. Nothing stellar, but nice to listen to. That was, if you could get him to sing loud enough for someone else to hear. Yet, when he was running he was sort of in his own world, so his voice, while quiet, could still be caught in the ears of those nearby.

Without warning, the blonde sat down across from him, her tray hitting the table. Maurice looked up at her from behind his glasses, his expression creepily neutral. "You suck at that." she said. He looked a bit less amused than before. Did this girl walk all this way to state the blatantly obvious? To point out what he already knew? And she sat down without even asking. Before Maurice could state his cold reply, the girl talked some more, complimenting him this time. As if that made up for the fact she insulted him or something.

"Uhm.. Thanks." Maurice was never good at small talk like this. When the vast majority of the school gave you a 5 foot radius, you didn't have many conversations. He wasn't even sure if she was just going to toss her food and go. That's what he'd probably do, since he had no obligation to stay, if he were her. Maurice looked back down at the water bottle. He contemplated starting again as normal, but she was right there. "..I'm better with earth," he awkwardly threw in. "But... I need to learn this. So... Here I am." Need was a bit of an understatement. He had to learn it. Maurice wouldn't hear the end of it if he didn't. Not from his brothers, or his mother. Or especially his father.

The blonde looked back up to the nameless one before him. He'd definitely seen her around before. Probably a class or walking down the hall or something. Maybe he had caught her doing something illicit one time? The faces blurred together after a while. Maybe she played an online game and her voice was the familiarity. The internet was a huge place, but local games of League made it a tad smaller. A curiosity rolled across his mind in this sleuthing. "Did you need something?" Why else would she be over here? No way she simply wanted to throw in her two cents, right? It just didn't make sense to do so.

A fire ball was hurdling its way towards the school, bright like a shooting star. Students hurried out of the way, though the fire was headed towards a mostly clear area of pavement. It landed with a whooshing noise, curling up and around into the sky above. A large bird had landed and those around to watch the spectacle realized that it had been the one trailing the flames. It was perched, looking just fine with the fact that it was set aflame. It spread its wings again, the feathers morphing into flesh, features mutating until there was a fully clothed girl where the bird had been, the fire dissipating entirely as she changed. At her feet was a large bag, which people could see was heavily fireproofed, but also had a handy set of wheels attached.

“Am I late?” Hannah asked aloud to no one in particular. She moved her tongue around her mouth, licking her gums. “I think my toast burned up on the way here. Darn.” With a shrug she grabbed the large bag and started to drag it towards the main office. A line was already formed. If only she’d sent in the key request form on time like she was supposed to she wouldn’t have to wait. Alas, it was too late for such a thing.

Looking in front of her, she saw that someone’s things were just sitting on the floor. Were they trying to hold a spot? Or had they been forgotten? This was concerning, for Hannah knew that she wouldn’t want to lose the precious family heirloom that was her bag. Pointing to the things below, she called out to anyone who could hear, “Um, excuse me, did anyone leave their things here? I think someone might have forgotten them!”

She glanced quickly around herself, trying to spot any hands raising or people noticing and recognizing the bags. But no one did any more than glance up at her before returning to their business. It seemed rude to simply leave them there, and she would feel bad if it turned out that someone had lost them. Maybe, Hannah thought, she ought to check for identification? A tag or maybe a wallet somewhere inside with an i.d. and a name would help. Hannah started to reach down, clearly not seeing Olive standing right next to them.

Olive moved up with the line, becoming annoyed with the guy up front. So many damn questions! Couldn't he just hurry the hell up so she could nap? He was wasting minutes of his life. Pff, she'd take them in a heartbeat. Or would she? Olive was honestly unsure of the living life she once had. All those worries and none of the fun. Dance would be nice, but it was a small sacrifice in this. She couldn't help but enjoy being dead, having the freedom to move about. Haunt her killer as he rotted in jail. Perhaps get him shipped off to an asylum once he's out. That'd teach the b*****d for killing her family.

Some girl walked herself over to Olive's bags, calling out for an owner. Olive smirked, quietly laughing as she watched the blonde. Nobody gave a crap, only wanting the hell out of this line. Quite frankly, Olive didn't care either. This chick could make a fool of herself all she wanted to. Wasn't Olive's problem... Until the chick began to try rummaging through her things. "Hey, whoa!" Olive used her foot and scooted the bags away from this chick. "Why are you going through my crap!?" She hated when people did that. Just so... Gah. Annoying. Olive moved up with the line, pushing her bags along the floor.

Finally, it was Olive's turn. She made herself visible and turned to the front desk. "Hi there. Olive Innerot." She smiled to the office lady, then looked back to Hannah. "Exactly what made you think going through my stuff was a good idea..?" Honestly! This wasn't some lame human school where stuff got turned into lost and found at the drop of a hat. Generally, if there were bags pushed along the floor, one of the dead people were the cause. Wasn't that just a known rule of thumb by now? Olive supposed not.

I tried to find the answers
in my fears

But what was found
was lost again

Gabriel sat patiently in the back seat as he was driven to school. Just like the two years before, he found himself feeling a faint hint of nervousness run through his veins. But this time, it was a bit worse than normal. After all, he was trying new things this year, the main new thing being Drama. He had always had loved for all things plays and musicals. But, Gabriel had never dreamed of ever trying it. However, being the co-president of the Art Club these past two years had helped him some in the confidence area. Enough to give acting a go. Though, whether or not he would be successful, he did not know. Unfortunately, that uncertainty worked against him as he looked out the window of the car, especially since he didn’t have the same security blanket he once. The security blanket that would have eased his troubled mind.

However, Gabriel supposed he couldn’t depend on his grandfather forever. That would be asking for there to be no Death. Unfortunately, asking for such was just as folly as trying to avoid it. He should know personally considering he saw the Dead all the time. At least, whenever they were lingering souls that hadn’t passed on to the next life. His sixth sense was the reason he was at Teras Academy after all, along with his ability to see lingering memories and channel the dead. Gabriel just wished that the Dead now didn’t include his grandfather. He took a deep breath to get his mind away from that. He knew he shouldn’t linger on that, especially when he could see the school showing itself through the window. It was just hard sometimes to not think about considering how recent his grandfather’s death had been.

When he could feel and see that the car had stopped in front of the school, he got out of the car and moved towards the trunk. He smiled faintly at his mother who seemed to be worried as ever. However, Gabriel’s own worries drowned out her words while he gripped one suitcase and one bag he had brought with him. The suitcase contained his clothes and basic necessities, while the bag contained all his art supplies. He smiled more at the idea of being able to paint something. Anything would have been fine. Though, Gabriel supposed he would have to find some inspiration. After all, while art was one of his favorite hobbies, Gabriel didn’t have limitless amounts of inspiration. He knew people who had though, and he couldn’t help but admire them.

But, his mind got off art when his parents started to wish him goodbye. He wished them goodbye as well and watched as his parents drove off. His chest faintly clenched when he finally could see their car anymore. However, Gabriel had to remind himself that they would be fine. Thus, Gabriel started to head towards the male dormitory. For like last year, Gabriel had been proactive and made sure to get his dorm room assignment and his key before school started. Thus, Gabriel was able to head towards the male dormitory instead of going to the main office. That was quite a good thing for him considering he wasn’t overly social. That was what made him trying Drama all the more nerve wrecking. The artist pushed the intrusive thought away from his mind though as he entered the dormitory.

After some time looking, Gabriel eventually found room 08. He placed his suitcase and bag down, taking out his key once his hands were free. He unlocked the door quickly and placed his key back in his pocket. Then, he picked back up his suitcase and bag before walking into the room. His sea-green hues noticed signs of someone already having been here. He guessed he must have missed his roommate. But, since they would be living together, Gabriel would meet him later. Though, Gabriel could only hope his roommate would not be someone overly rude. He wasn’t sure he could handle overly rude. Anything else he was sure he would be fine with as he started to take the things from his suitcase out and put them up. Since he didn’t have a lot of things on him, it didn’t take long before everything was put up.

With a small smile on his face, he picked up the bag of art supplies and left the dorm room, making sure to lock it behind him. With there being no classes today, Gabriel knew he could spend time in the Art room. That room was one of his favorite places to be. After all, he was surrounded by everything art involved. The artwork themselves, the supplies that created them, and fellow others that could understand such a passion for art. What more could he ask for? However, on this particular occasion, he only hoped for the former two as he made his way to the Art room. He didn’t know what he would say if there was anyone in there anyway. But, Gabriel did know he would have to introduce himself. Unfortunately, introducing himself was sometimes still a bit nerve-wrecking.

After a few minutes of walking, Gabriel arrived in front of the Art Room. He opened the door slowly and walked inside, noticing there was no one inside. He made sure the door stayed open in case someone else wanted to come into the room. He wasn’t going to deprive anyone of Art, even if he might find himself wanting to turn invisible. Ironic considering he could see the unseen in the form of ghosts. The artist placed his art supplies down and went to work on setting up a canvas. By the looks of it, he would likely have to create one from scratch if he wanted the dimensions he desired. Thus, Gabriel grabbed out four pieces of frame and put them together. Once that was done, Gabriel went to work on cutting out the fabric for the canvas. With some staples and edits here and there, he got the canvas put together.

However, Gabriel would need to paint it over with primer in order to get the fabric to tighten enough to be used. Luckily, Gabriel could see the primer nearby, and thus took the can of primer from the shelf. He placed the can nearby the canvas and took out a paint brush from nearby, since his paintbrushes from home room weren’t large enough for priming. Once Gabriel dipped the paint brush into the primer, he started to paint over the canvas, watching as the fabric tightened over the empty space. He didn’t think he would ever find that not amazing. Though, with his mind on the canvas, he was completely oblivious to the world. His mind once more into the very hobby he cherished so dearly.

Elizabeth Anne NightRoad
~ Witch

She grew up
on the side of the road

Where the church bells ring
and strong love grows

Elizabeth wasn’t sure what she was supposed to think upon arriving at Teras Academy. She knew that in some ways, the Academy would be like any other school she had been to before. However, in other ways, Elizabeth knew it would be entirely different. After all, this would be the first time she could be open about the fact she was a Witch. The ability to not hide anymore felt quite relieving to the free-spirited witch. However, that also led her to wonder what she would be able to do with said freedom. Would she actually be able to find a fellow witch amongst her peers? Would she be able to make friends she wouldn’t have to lie to anymore? Would she just be able to be herself? All those questions and more roamed through her mind as she got out of the car.

She took out the two suitcases from the back seat, the one in her right hand heavier than the one in her left. After all, the suitcase in her right hand contained all the things she needed for her witchcraft. Unfortunately, Elizabeth hadn’t learned the spell yet to make those supplies lighter. However, when her father offered to help her, the witch turned down the help. Her stubbornness shined through in her determination to get to her dorm room without any help. Though, at least her parents had thought ahead enough to get her dorm room assignment and her key before the school year started. Otherwise, Elizabeth knew she would be cursing herself for not accepting the help. However, Elizabeth started to think she might do so anyway as she made her way to the dormitory.

After all, not only had she had to give in and ask for directions, but she also felt like her arms were going to fall off her body! Maybe her father telling her she should accept help more often was actually sound. But, Elizabeth didn’t think her thoughts on help would change within a day, or after this incident. For to her, she needed to stand strong against people. In order to do so, she had to make herself as independent and stubborn on her beliefs as possible. At least, that was what she believed being strong meant. Those particular thoughts sometimes screwed her over though as she finally made it to the door of her dorm room! She rested her head against the door, dropping her luggage beside her. “I am never…doing that again.”

The words were softly muttered to herself as she slowly out the key to her dorm room. She opened the door and pushed the door open fully. Then, Elizabeth dragged both suitcases inside. As her eyes looked about the room, Elizabeth didn’t see any signs of someone being here. She almost breathed a sigh of relief at that. The witch didn’t need to be asked why she looked like she had run a marathon! Luckily, it didn’t take long for her to catch her breath. Once she did that, Elizabeth worked on putting her things up, making her area of the room neat and orderly. Her eyes glanced over everything to make sure they were in their proper place. With a smile on her face at everything being just right, Elizabeth made her way out of the dorm room, locking the door behind her.

Where should she go now though? There were no classes today. Thus, she believed that meant free reign of where she could go. But, with having never been at Teras before, Elizabeth had no idea where a good place would be. She huffed slightly as she walked away from the dorm room. She really hated not knowing things. However, there wasn’t much she could do about it. She would just have to find things out on her own, unless she wanted to actually ask someone. That was a possibility considering asking for knowledge and asking for help were two different things. At least, when it came to just trying to learn more. However, Elizabeth didn’t encounter anyone while walking around, causing her to frown slightly to herself.

Though, eventually, Elizabeth noticed what appeared to be a Library. While she wasn’t an avid reader, Elizabeth did respect books. After all, many of the spells she had been taught so far came from old spell books passed down for generations. Old books that sometimes had curses on them for people that decided to treat them badly. Thus, she learned the value of a book quickly. It helped that they tended to be filled with fascinating things depending on the subject. Elizabeth did have to admit the more related to witchcraft the subject was, the more interested she was. A bias yes, but she didn’t really care to fix it. But, maybe the library would have books on witchcraft or related subjects? It was worth a shot. Thus, with that in mind, Elizabeth walked into the library.

Her brown hues looked about the library then. She didn’t see any clear indication of where one subject matter could be found, causing her to frown. However, Elizabeth supposed all things couldn’t be found that easily. Thus, Elizabeth started to walk through the different aisles of the library. Sometimes, she would take a book out and leaf through it carefully before putting it back up. Other times, Elizabeth would simply walk through an aisle since she found nothing of interest. As Elizabeth still tried to find something on Witchcraft, she did take note that there was someone else there. An orange haired girl by the looks of it. But, since Elizabeth was more focused on what she was doing, she didn’t feel the need to bother the girl, continuing her search in silence.

Skylar picked up what she had been eating before while she waited for the male to say something. Even when he offered her an unsure 'thanks' she continued eating. What was there to say in response? 'You're welcome' was such an overused and ridiculous thing to reply with. So she didn't. Instead, she continued to munch on the remaining half of her sandwich.

"I'm better with earth." She stopped to ponder for a moment. A very sporadic conversation with her father had led Skylar to believe a serpent had an affinity for earth. Perhaps it was something they might share. Who knew. Casually she pushed her now empty tray out of her path before holding her chin in her palm.

"Did you need something?" His question just brought about a light shrug of her shoulders. Unfortunately it caused the back of her shirt to catch on her hair clip. Sighing she sat up and pulled her orange hair out of it's holster. As it fell down she shook her head, hoping to be rid of all the snares and unflattering clumps. Satisfied she put the clip back in her bag before cocking her head at him.

"I was curious." Simple. To the point. The entire truth in a total of three words... and her way of requesting permission. Not that she gave him time to respond. Without another word she reached out to pick the container of water from his grasp. "Affinity for earth... but practicing water." She raised a curious eyebrow as she peered into the top of the water bottle. Odd. Her mind raced over the possibilities for his race. "Elemental, right? Or are you of holy race?"

Sophie would lecture her for hours about her lack of manners. Thank god she wasn't there.

Sigh. Sophie gently tugged the thin rimmed glasses off the bridge of her nose. Rubbing where they were she groaned. Not even the start of classes and she found herself flooded with work for the student council. While she wasn't the president she felt as though she had the same amount of work. It was her job to organize upcoming events and she didn't really mind that. But some of the ideas that the staff had given her over the summer and mentioned they were going to do, regardless of what she thought, were just ridiculous.

First she had a sex ed day to help plan. Not too much work had to be done on her part but it made her a tad nervous about the actual event. Just what did the teachers get into their heads? She distinctively remembered having this discussion with her parents. Regardless, it wasn't the worst event she had to deal with. Far from it.

Between the school dance and the school fair she had her hands full. Decorations, bands, parking, flyers, advertisements... the list went on and on! Another sigh. Too bad she couldn't use what she had the year before. It would make life so much easier. But it was a new year and she wanted to keep things fresh. Besides, most of the basics for both events could be used during their cultural festival as well.

Above them all, it was the giant sleepover and truth or dare game that had her stumped. If it was up to her she'd scrap them. They were ridiculous. But they were the two main ones that the staff had distinctively said they would do with or without her help. The least she could do was try to keep it from turning into a war.

"If this keeps up I might have to demand they pay me. A truth or dare game? Ha! Maybe if it was optional but to be mandatory... ugh." Sophie hadn't yet picked up on the second presence in the library. She was too focused on getting things organized. After flipping to another folder she realized she needed to read up on what it was the event would cover. Standing up she made it two steps from her chair before running into the other girl.
