Eagle Cardwell

The smaller boy momentarily taking advantage of his gesture didn't phase Eagle any. He was just a minor nuisance seeking attention for a fraction of time. If he had done more, then sure, Eagle would have gladly pulled him aside for a quick discussion. Alas though, he had no need to, which was a good thing for the boy.

He acknowledged Karen's comment with a nod, noting to not include the full name. Not that he planned to use the full name, but he figured it was better to go along with it than to point out what was obvious to him in the first place.

Eagle started to let the door close behind him as he followed Karen on in, "I'll join you."
His eyes wandered the area quickly, taking in the details of the place. The room was filled with noise and students in every direction from his point of view. Some students peered over at him, taking notice of his height and build, along with his facial features. He kept up the act of a friendly face as he made his way down to the front, his focus still set on Karen Hart.

Once he made it to the front, he took a seat right next to the girl on her left side. He kicked his legs up to occupy a folding chair nearby, his hands interlacing into one another. His eyes glanced over to Karen, a small smile accompanying it. Eagle then looked up at all the teachers, seeing a variety of ages.

This better not take long. I want to ensure my hook stays in her before someone else grabs her on me.

Karen was preoccupied. She had a small, half-hearted smile on her face. One that anyone from the year prior would recognize. She caught a glimpse of Slythor Heart. He didn't leave after all! Her small smile turned into a brilliant grin. "Oh thank god, Mr. Heart's still here. I was afraid, after last ye..." Her sentence trailed off, her smile all but disappearing. Mr. Heart went through his fair share of pain in this place, too. So did Ms. Hamada. Hell, out of everything that Karen wanted to forget the most, it would be tied with leaving Sara to Mr. Golash and Roger's death.

Her stomach gave a lurch, and she swallowed, forcing the pain away. She couldn't handle it here. There were too many people present. She'd wait until later, when she was in the shower. The water would drown out the outside world.

She caught Eagle smiling at her out of the corner of her eye. Wiping away any pain that had been present on her face, she returned the smile. She read the look on his face clear as day.

Benito took a glance around the room for a moment. A set of folded chairs were carried all throughout the auditorium. While this was all probably okay for anyone else, he had never seen such a thing. So many students... so many loud students. What were they all talking about in such a boring place? Maybe he should have come in this place much sooner than just relaxing outside. The air was exciting and he was ready to jump into the mix. Only if there were any seats left. Apparently all the rowdier students decided to aim for the back seats while leaving majority of the front ones open. A spot closer to the front meant teachers would easily spot them much faster. 'Oh, they're smart. Hm?'

While trying to find his own spot, Benito noticed the girl and guy that were at the door moving to take a pair of seats in the front area he so hoped he didn't have to share. But another glance around indicated the inevitable. "Ooooh well." With a shrug of his shoulders, he looked back to see if Gray was anywhere to be found. But with the hustle and bustle of moving bodies, it was near impossible to complete the task. Especially when Gray didn't really stand out in the first place. "Err... I guess I'll be sitting with the ravens for now." Moving forward, he found himself sitting next to the cheese factory called Eagle. Hunched over with his elbows resting on his legs and palms holding his head in place. "This will be so boring..."

MR. GOLASH

He didn't wait for a response. He knew none would come. He bowed and turned to walk away, "Never mind. I'll see my way out."

He was lying; he knew that right now all the students would be sitting in the auditorium waiting for the principal to give the opening speech. That's where he was headed, if anything he'd enjoy the looks of surprise and fear that would spread throughout the crowd like wildfire. Especially those looks on a few of his favorite students and teachers.

He ignored the stares as he walked the isle to the stairs and smiled politely at Slythor Heart as he passed. He made sure to express with his smile the amount of danger everyone would be in if his speech was interrupted. He was enjoying this too much; tugging on the emotions of people just with his presence. The turmoil in most of the faces was almost audible and when he turned to the audience his face demanded silence.

"Welcome new and old, to Sekai No Mon High." He emphasized old just for the fun of it, "I will be your new guidance counselor. My name is David Golash; don't be afraid to come to me with any problems that you might have. I am here to help all of you adjust to the changes of a new year."

He paused, for a second not bothering to hide the dark intent in his face, "This year we're still doing the normal events such as The Billy Trommle Bonfire and The Skyreach Ball. As usual, the ball is couples only so please find someone to take you if you've found yourself . . . " He paused for emphasis, barely able to hide the glee in his voice as he spoke, " . . . suddenly single."

He hadn't spotted her in the audience yet, but he knew the Karen would be squirming with anger, hatred, and sadness. He was surprised that he was able to get this much out before a teacher decided to get him off the stage. Were they afraid?

"Your principal should be here shortly so in the meantime why don't we do a little exercise? I'll point to you and then you stand. State your name and what you hope to get out of this year; tell me all your hopes, dreams, and worries. Then point to someone else and let them do the same."

He missed this, being the lion of his own personal jungle. He missed the effect he'd had on the students just by standing up here at the start of the year.

His finger outstretched toward a set of twins, resting on what looked to be the older of the two, "How about you? Stand up and tell us a bit about yourself."

Slythor Heart

Slythor sat amongst the rows of teachers, lights bright above them all. He did his best to look for familiar faces in the crowd, only spotting one: Karen Hart. He smiled, glad to see her again. After all, she was one of his favorite students. Besides, after last year, it was simply nice to know someone who shared a fair amount of pain with him. He knew how fond of Roger she was, and he completely understood how it felt to lose someone dear to you. He himself lost his wife years ago, leaving him to go through life alone. The difference between Karen and him was that she was still young and stood a chance at finding a new love interest. Slythor was much older and his heart was incapable of moving on.

His thoughts trailed to his nephew and his friend. A sigh escaped as he rested his head back a little, staring up at the lights with his eyelids shielding most of the streams of them. Slythor's sister, the mother of his nephew, pulled him out of Sekai's school system. She felt that if it had to close, then it wasn't worth her son's time or hers. Instead she transferred him over to the school where Strife's sister attended. The mother simply felt it was better since it meant the two siblings being together, and maybe for once they could force themselves to get along in a public setting.

As for Unmei, Strife's friend, her parents wound up being highly confused about what happened at Sekai No Mon High School. Poor Unmei was so lost on what to tell them, knowing she couldn't share the truth with anyone. Slythor only knew this since out of desperation, she called him to ask if he could tell something convincing to her parents for her. The only thing he could think of saying is that there was an incident that caused for enough alarm to shut the place down. That reasoning only sounded redundant to the parents, not helping their confused state, and ultimately they decided it was for Unmei's own good if she were to attend an all girl's school instead.

Footsteps caused the music teacher to sit back up, snapping back from past thoughts. His eyes slowly widened as his hands subconciously gripped at the sides of his seat. An all too familiar face was approaching with a polite smile. Slythor knew better than to take it with any kindness what so ever though. He knew what horrific things the man was capable of. On top of that, his mind was now trying to figure out how on Earth he was alive and well, as well as having the very nerve to come up here.

Golash? But...how?!

Slythor listened to his words, being reminded of the puppet-play that Golash put on for the world to bear witness to. It sickened him completely. His stomach ached with his mere presence, his eyes reflecting fear and surprise, as well as anger. Normally gentle hands were now filled with pure resentment as he squeezed with all his might, feeling pain in his fingers as they met with the hard metal of the chair. As much as Slythor wanted to go up and hit him, as much as he wanted to strangle him and throw him off stage, as much as he wanted to scream and go off in a fit of rage... he couldn't.

He was thinking of the students, new and old alike. For that very reason alone, he couldn't face Golash like he wanted.

Eagle Cardwell

The student kept his gaze up front, waiting for something to happen. Anything seemed good enough as long as it was fitting to his 'color pallette'. A glance to his left informed him of the boy from the door taking a seat right by him. An inward groan rang in his head as he thought of ways to ensure that he wouldn't have to be around him so often. Thinking it over though, it occured to him that perhaps it wouldn't hurt to keep another person around for the purposes of entertainment. He may even be able to assist him obtaining bodies that would otherwise be more difficult to get to, even of the male variety. Hell! If it really came down to it, he could maybe sweet talk his way into the boy's dorm for some one on one time; a rather dodgy backup plan to ensure his own quotas for pleasure were being met. As far as he was concerned, when it came to indulging on the human body, anyone was a target for him to acquire. He gently licked at the side of his mouth, making sure it didn't stick out or bulge from beneath his skin.

So many to choose from, too... but it is wiser to go after those who are drawn to you, either by sheer will or 'happy circumstance'. Heh.

Before Eagle could turn back to the boy though, his attention was grabbed by a voice. He slouched back into place, his fingers intertwining with themselves again. An older man was taking the stage, putting on quite the spectacle. At least, it would seem like a spectacle to most. Eagle just saw a man who was far too eager to do his job, especially when that job involved guiding and counseling students; helping them decide on their future subjects and their future in general, or to perhaps to even just talk about their petty problems.

The man's tone of voice and facial expressions definitely supported just how much the man, David Golash, seemed to enjoy his job. Something did seem off to Eagle though.

Why would they have a guidance counselor announce all this? He should just be making his place in this school known, then sitting down and shutting the f*** up. That's how it usually goes, anyway.

The very fact that David Golash decided to do an exercise further irritated the student. A small frown actually formed at the edges of his mouth, his eyebrows curving downward to match.

What the f*** is this s***?! We're not in elementary or middle school, you f***ing a**!

"This is just purely retarded," he mumbled to himself. A smirk came out for a second before he replaced it with a feigned smile, "It's just...so..." He stood up from his seat, no longer fighting the urge to scream it out. After all, this would prove to be a challenge of sorts and it would make him well known for the school year, "Hey, David Golash! You know how retarded it is to be telling us to do a little exercise like that?!"

He no longer held back his own darker parts for that moment. A satisfied smirk laced the traces of his lips, eyes gleaming and begging for a comeback. To back down now would mean surrendering, and he had no intent on doing so. Even if it was picking a small fight with a guidance counselor, he didn't care. It was something for him to do, a form of entertainment; a small thrill to get his insides worked up on, "I mean, heh! Really! Who here actually gives a damn about hearing each other's hopes, dreams and sorrows?! No one, that's who! So either get off stage to join the crowd, shut the f*** up and sit down up there, or leave already! You're boring me to tears..!"

A confident glow unraveled from his person as he stood there with a strong stance, hands now in his pockets. He peered into the eyes of Golash, interested to know the type of man he was. Would he back down, or would Golash push back with all his might? He found himself eager to know, his eyes glinting with curiosity and a cocky attitude.

MR. GOLASH

Hearing the other student yell out made him smile. If this had been a year ago, he'd be somewhere beneath the school; strapped up to the contraption that would bleed him out completely. However this wasn't a year ago, this was now.

Golash reached in his pocket and pulled something out. He leaned down and handed it to the person in the first row, "If you wouldn't mind passing this back to the young man with the incredibly obnoxious voice."

He wasn't going to give the boy any heed besides that. A person who didn't realize the power in knowing someone hopes, dreams, and worries wasn't worth his time. He stood up straight again and smiled at the polite young man he'd pointed to before, "I apologize for the interruption, please continue."

Noticing a very quick glance followed by a silent groan, Benito couldn't help but look over into the direction of the darker haired senior sitting next to him. True, his appearance wasn't bad. At all. But everytime word that had come from his mouth in the past minutes was enough to cover ever cringe he'd do in a lifetime. Brain's and brawn seem to be a feature only he could capture it seemed like. Not to say Eagle was dumb or anything. Or maybe he was. Eitherway, Nito didn't care one or the other. Unless something much more fun would happen between the two of them. A placing of duct tape would make it bearable for the most part.

Attention was brought to a man presenting himself to the podium. A slight tinge of excitement ran through him as he hung onto every word provided. Oddly enough, while attending the event wasn't something he wanted, the actual speeches themselves were something he always found interest in. Maybe it was the sheer power to have all eye's on you and command attention. To have a crowd of people on your every word and possibly follow your every demand. To be up there would be a dream. Benito found himself completely intrapt with everything this person was saying. Though, he honestly didn't really understand a word of it. 'Guidance councilor...? Bonfire? What are those?' The customs of the school were a bit different than what he was use to it seemed.

When the idea of an exercise was presented, Benito's heart began to pump just a bit quicker. This was his chance! To go all out and have all eye's on him. Even for just 10 seconds. The only problem was getting pass the other billion students before he died of boredom. He wasn't interested in hearing their stories. He wanted them to hear his! After that, what else was there to know about anyone? The anticipation to not jump from his seat and grab his opportunity now before one of the twins spoke almost lost... if Eagle hadn't stood up and took it from him.

The words expressed by the boy were enough to cut through his heart, dreams and hopes. Everything Mr. Golash had asked for was exactly what he wanted to tell. The intention that others would truly hear and reach out for his success was right there on the tip of the edge, ready to grab on and pull it's way back up. And Eagle just came and kicked it right off. 'Crash...' As Eagle finished off his beyond rude rant, Benito could feel a frown forming across his lips. The gutted feeling and quite laughter behind them didn't help so much. Not even Mr. Golash's gift, insult and ignore to the upperclassman could cure what he felt.

"Jerk."

Adachi

Adachi's gaze scans through the room and across the students as they file in. Toshi is in his happy place right now, discussing the latest Call of Duty games with fellow gamers.

Wait...

His brow furrows, he looks around again.

Goddamn prettyboys EVERYWHERE.

From the students coming in, to many of the teachers.

I've heard rumors of disturbing things happening here once or twice before, but this... Even this chucklehead coming onstage. He the principle? I was pretty sure the principle was a chick. Close enough, I guess.

To absorbed in his observations, Adachi doesn't even catch the 'speech' as it were. When he is pointed out to say some things, he remains unmoving, except for a little chuckle when another student starts calling Mr. Onstage out.

Eagle Cardwell

Eagle was handed a tissue by another student, to which his shoulders slightly slumped in response. His face became neutral as the excitement he held dropped down to zero in an instant. All that for a lousy tissue? No real comeback? It was highly insulting, and mostly a pure disappointment to him. The need to fight died in him as he did the one thing he hated doing: giving up. The student wasn't stupid though. It was the man's way to show who really had the power around here, to make him feel insignificant. At that moment he didn't feel the need to contort his face into something positively fake. He just allowed his features to sit without a shed of emotion to hold on to.

So much for that, then. Nothing but a coward hiding behind his own title.

He eased back into his seat and stared up at him. Even though he was allowing the man this victory, he figured there would be future confrontations to look forward to. This gave him enough sustenance to muster up a feigned smile again while his eyes became calm and patient.

He heard the student on his left call him a jerk. With a small breath of a chuckle he simply feigned a quick grin to him, "Thanks, I do my best." The student then looked over to Karen for a moment, wondering what she would say about the short scene he just played out. In fact, he wondered if he now only appeared to be a bull-headed fool to them all. Some laughter from the back rows only confirmed that exact thought.

No matter. I can still gather those of whom I find interesting enough and convince them otherwise.

He wasn't going to let this hurt his pride or his way of interacting with others. His masks were his way of surviving, and this only meant for another mask to wear if the time called for it. Instead of letting an awkward state possibly sink in, he pulled on a face that reflected how a fool would feel. He shook his head for extra effect. He decided to kindly phrase his thoughts on the matter though, refixing his face to be more friendly, "Man, that was dumb of me. But I just can't stand this kind of crap. It's pointless if you don't know who the person is by face, and they could just be stating false information. Not everyone is willing to put out their true thoughts and feelings in an open crowd like this. It's only natural to want to lie then," he glanced back to Golash and leaned in closer to Karen, "But someone here doesn't get that, does he? As far as I'm concerned, he's just a fool playing his part and abusing all the power he can get. Wouldn't you agree?"

Toshiro

On the other hand, Toshiro was listening intently to Mr. Golash. Springing up when asked to stand and only slightly miffed at the interruption of someone in the back. When the exchange is over, Toshi waits to be reacknowledged before beginning.

"Toshiro Yamada, junior year. I'm interested in the military, both modern and ancient. I suppose if I were to have any hopes for this year in particular, it would be to start up a sojutsu club.

When he point out Adachi to be next, there's nothing more than a,

"Adachi, Junior Year, I'm just hoping to stay out of trouble."

Adachi points over to Eagle.

Here have another rant, pal.

Eagle Cardwell

Before he could get into any real conversation, he noted a finger being pointed toward him out of the corner of his eye. An inner smirk formed as he realized it was a time of redemption for himself and himself alone.

He stood back up, eyes on Golash, "You want to know about me, guy? Do you really? Fine. I'm Eagle Cardwell. I came here for my senior year just because I wanted to know why this school closed down. ...Maybe you know, David? Can you help fulfill that desire of mine?" Some confidence started to flare back up in him, shining in the greens of his eyes, "I have no dreams except for the ones I have at night. And hope is for the hopeless. My sorrows though? Well, that's none of your God damn business. If I want to tell you, I'll tell you. But you? You don't get to know a damn thing. So go f**** yourself, Golash."

His smile widened as he recalled that he said someone and not another student. A large hand of his rose, pointing directly at Golash, "Now then. Your turn to share what you want to hear from everyone else. After all, it's part of the exercise, right? Point to someone else. You're the someone else I want to hear from."

MR. GOLASH

He smiled as he was pointed toward and bowed, "My name is Golash. I arrived here through a reality warping rift. I was there for a year and sleep was hard to come by so I don't remember my dreams. I hope to make the people that sent me there pay and I worry that maybe I'll never die; that maybe I'll be stuck here forever and alone."

He paused. His retort was less meant for the unruly student and more for the others that were listening. He didn't hide his emotions as he spoke and was very careful with which words he emphasized.

Then he smiled and laughed a loud long laugh, "I'm KIDDING! I've already told you all about me before this, how about we keep it to students, alright?"

Maybe he'd end up killing that kid after all. If he was this unruly to Allison that just might become an option.

He pointed to an eager looking student sitting next to Eagle, "Your turn."

Gray Allbridge

Bee had gone ahead of him slipping between the one holding the door known as Eagle. This had gotten a chuckle from the young lady who's man he had missed. As he entered the auditorium he heard the loud screech of the out of sync microphone and a voice come over the mic. He introduced himself as David Golash. He had heard that somewhere surely he had but Gray couldn't remember for anything. The excitement of this new school as a joy to him though you couldn't tell by the look across his face.

After some weird announcements asking people to introduce themselves Eagle shot up shouting at the man. It wasn't to much of a surprise he would do that seeing how charismatic he had been with the girl before. But Gray guessed it was just his own way of an introduction. Gray started to look for Bee his first new friend if he could be called that...?

After a few seconds of looking he spotted him sitting near the front of the room sitting next to the girl from before and Eagle.." Seems just like you to be up front right away."
With that he took the seat next to him.

Benito's gaze watched Eagle for a moment as he took a seat back down in his chair. The wonder of what could possibly give him the initiative to back down so easily made him curious as to the gift that he recieved. Maybe a detention slip? Or possible suspension. On the first day? That had to be a record. School didn't even really start just yet and he was already getting into trouble. A firecracker. 'Maybe this guy isn't as bad as I thought...' Benito lived for the wild side of things and having the chance to befriend someone on the edge of being kicked out within his first minute into the school, that only excited him more. Yet, when he caught sight of the object that the other boy held, he couldn't resist the laugh that escaped him before his hand reached up to cover his mouth.

'Tissue? A tissue?!' The insignificance of Eagle must have been extremely strong within the councilor. It clearly showed. The object had to be the strongest possible insult that could be given. Even ignoring the student wouldn't have been as bad as this. His hand reached over to his stomach as the suppressed laughed only seemed harder to contain with each passing second. "Oh my God, that is genius! Ahhh..." Leaning back in his seat, a finger was raised to wipe a stray tear that found it's way to the surface of his eye. If something had made his day, so far it had been that.

The student, Toshiro finally found his voice to speak up. He seemed interested in some rather brutal and boring subjects. Military and spear fighting. Two things he didn't really care for at all. Not that he never fought before and couldn't handle himself. But the intent on going out to do such a thing was far beyond anything he ever wanted to do really. Odd enough, Toshiro didn't look like the strong type at all. If anything, the boy that sat next to him seemed to look the part. But when he began to speak up, Nito couldn't help but hold back yet another laughter. His words were so little but... 'So inspiring.' He only thought this. If he said it out loud, the sarcasm would have been far too strong.

Next was Eagle's turn, and yet again, he went on another tirade. Seeming upset at the man for putting him through the activity. No dreams and no hopes. No wonder he was so upset about having to speak. He had nothing to speak about. "Tch." Eagle took his turn to point towards the man at the podium who gave a more than odd enough story. It almost seemed a joke, but the expression on the male carried made it near impossible to tell. Even after the laugh and confirmation that he already told his story, Benito couldn't muster up a true laugh to go along with the others. Forcing one out didn't seem right, but the expression on his face made the action seem more nervous than anything. 'Y-yeah... no way he was being serious.'

Finally, it was his turn. The finger pointing at him lit his face up and completely washed away any nerves he had gained from the previous story. Nearly jumping from his seat, Benito turned his back to the teacher to make sure every student in the auditorium could hear him. "My name is... um, one second!" Taking a moment, Benito noticed his voice wouldn't project loud enough with his accent getting in the way. It was hard trying to process the right articulation and sound at the same time in another language. "Excuse me." Pushing his way down the isle, he moved up to the stage where the other teachers were positioned. Completely ignoring the look he recieved on his way up the steps, he gave a quick smile to Mr. Golash before slipping his way infront of the podium to gain as possible closeness to the mic he could get.

"Hello! My name is Benito Juan Gomez! But you can call me Bee, Nito, Jo... whatever you like! My original home is Spain and I'm hear to explore the world. My dream is to have as much fun as possible and make as many friends as I possibly can. I hope that everyone helps me achieve this goal and I hope this is the best school year ever. Let's work hard to have fun everyone!" Fun didn't necessarily mean anything good for the teachers behalf, but he hoped they would take it that way. "Oh, and my sorrows... well... losing my friends!" Giving a toothed smile towards Gray, Benito waved to the audience who hadn't reacted as well to his speech as he had hoped. But it didn't matter. They listened and he said. Before making a chance to step from the stage, he gave a small bow to Mr. Golash and quickly thanked him, quickly running off to take his seat back. His finger pointing to the Gray that sat next to him.
