Pulling her into his embrace and spilling his guts to her had apparently stirred more emotions from the red head. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his chest.Atlas worried for a bit if he had gone too far, if maybe he had acted prematurely and that she had simply gotten caught up in the moment. Then the moment he had been waiting for the past year finally happened, she released all the emotions she felt from the whole ordeal, apologizing over and over until she revealed some information he hadn't known before."You talked to Liza? You know I didn't cheat on you?"Some boys would be upset that she hadn't come forth with this sooner, but Atlas was just relieved. This meant she could still trust him, that she didn't have hard feelings for him...that she might still love him...

As she sobbed heavily against him,Atlas held her close, one arms wrapped around her and while the other hand lightly held the back of her head,Tilting his head down,he placed a few sot kisses on the top of her head, waiting a few seconds between them."Viv...it's okay, I promise....I don't want you to beat yourself for something my father did.You had every reason to believe what you saw, especially with how my dad always treated you so well.Everyone makes mistakes, but that's in the past. We're here now, you're in my arms again...and I still love you every bit as much as I ever did if not more."Seeing her so upset broke his heart and all he wanted was to take all her pain and guilt away.He had never blamed her for what had happened, anyone would believe those pictures and the story that went along with them.

With that he moved back a little, just enough to move the hand that had been on the back of her head to her chin, gently tilting it up so he could look in her eyes, tears in his own though his voice didn't show it."But I've never forgiven you what you did and I never will, because there's nothing to forgive Vivien. You didn't do a damn thing wrong, alright? So lets dry these tears and pick up where we left off...."With that,he moved his thumbs over her cheeks and wiped her tears away before flashing her slight smile.

Atlas' heart was pounding in chest as his eyes found hers and his hands found her hips, gently pulling to him and up onto her tip toes.Leaning in,he slowly closed his eyes as his lips softly collided hers.It was magical thing every time their lips met, though now it was even more so.Any issues or negativity in his life could be completely erased by a simply smile from her,a kiss,a warm embrace, especially hearing that laugh of hers. She meant the world to him,and he hoped with all this pent up emotion and information, that she could be his again, that he could be hers. For now though, just being this close to her and feeling her lips on his was enough.

After letting the kiss linger for a bit, he slowly pulled away and gently rest his forehead against hers, his eyes remaining closed for a short time before slowly opening and looking into hers."Vivien, I've never been angry with you or held any hard feelings.I just want you know I'm here in whatever way you need me to be.Ok?"With that,he left ball in her court. He knew it was soon and was perfectly fine if simply kept things on a friend basis for a while. On the other hand, he would be ecstatic if they could continue like this and return to how they used to be.The choice was hers and she could make her decision any time she wanted, Atlas had waited a year to talk to her, he could wait longer to make sure she was happy.

                                                          ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

School hadnt been too bad to be honest the problems seemed to happen when Axel got back home. Letting out a small sigh he was.....Well completely ignoring anyone that happened to be in his house. He was pretty sure Ryker had already left with the phone call he was having with one of his suppliers had gotten a little heated. The phone had almost gone up with wall at least twice by now unfortunately it hadn't saved an ashtray or a lamp both of which were smashed in opposite corners of his room.

"Double you have got to be shitting me. Your seriously trying to extort me." Oh this wasn't going to be good. "Well I'll tell you what the usual rate and I don't find you and wheel spin on your face." It might have sounded funny but it was a serious threat. Most likely not a good idea since at the moment his supply of drugs was reaching critical levels but then again he could always grab one of the other suppliers that he currently had in his phone. Which at this moment

                                ...
                                Smash
                                ...

Well obviously something that was said had really irked the tattooed male and his phone was now in a million pieces on the floor. That was just fantastic. At least the party was tonight he wouldn't have to worry about these kind of problems just drink right? That was the plan. Drink and hope that nobody else decided it was a good idea to get on his nerves. That would surely be something that would be problematic. Getting changed would be the problem what to wear. Well something simple sounded good to him, Converse, Jeans, T-shirt and a hoodie. Perfect. It wasn't too long before he was on his way. He didn't really need to worry about picking anybody up or if he did.....Well it wasn't his fault that his phone was now smashed to smithereens.

Luckily he arrived at Celeste's house without any incidents that would invoke his road rage. He didn't park too far from Celeste's house just far enough where his bike wouldn't get tampered with.....The last thing he needed was to be coming out to someone ******** with his bike that would put him in a complete tyrate. They would be dead....So dead. At least the door was open so he could just walk right in. Fantastic. Now to scout to see if there was anybody worth talking to or annoying. Where was the best place for that. Well the drinks table it was usually a social epicenter. at least one of them.

Megara groaned, standing out front of Celeste’s house. It wasn’t like the two of them weren’t on bad terms, the girls had agreed years before to simply ignore one anothers existence and go their own ways unless it was a special occasions, meaning a party or the other had personally attacked them. It was just that, well, Meg wasn’t in much of a party mood. After her day, trapped by Axel and saved by Aster, she then had to go to her classes, yet another thing she was not in the mood for. Every time she tried to duck out of school and go home, another teacher or classmate started talking to her, and she just couldn’t say “no, I’m sorry, I’m about to leave and skip the rest of the school day”. It didn’t work like that, she didn’t work like that. She was too damned nice to some people.

The other reason she wasn’t pleased with the party was what she found on her walk there: a bike that was all too familiar these days. She groaned again and headed inside, heading straight for the bar. At least Celeste’s parents did one thing right: put in a beautiful bar, with all of the alcohol one would need. Including vodka, and tequila, and Jack Daniels. A drink was her first order of business. Maybe a swim after that and some socializing, but if she was going to survive this party, and her plans for Axel, she was going to need to be at least a little tipsy.

Of course, with her luck, her most favorite person in the world was heading for the drinks as well. ”You have got to be ******** kidding me.” She muttered, picking up the pace with the hopes of beating him there. Two other boys she recognized from school were there as well: a kid from their sports teams, Darren or something, and some nobody she never cared to learn the name of. Wonderful. And, her new little cohort in pissing Axel off was nowhere to be seen. Perfect. Meg slid behind the bar and found a bottle of Jack, immediately opening it and taking a good long drink. Maybe she could just shove Axel in the pool. That would be fair, right? It might not make up for all of his jackass moments, but it could improve her mood. Her eyes locked in on him again, and she almost smirked. Yep, she was definitely pushing him into the pool. That at least wouldn’t get her slaughtered.

Celeste had grown rather, well, bored. It was disappointing to think that she was bored at her own damned party, but there was nobody around to amuse her. Sure, some guys from school had hit on her, but she wasn’t interested in those losers in the least, she did have standards, and Maleficent wasn’t coming due to the probability of being touched against her will and Desire was… Well, in the pool already, probably waiting for a new boy toy to fall into her grasp. This left Celeste not knowing what to do, so she set about wandering her own home, keeping an eye on her guests.

A familiar guest came up to her with a bag of ice. Celeste stared at Logan, raising an eyebrow. Most probably couldn’t tell the difference between the boys, even their tattoos were identical, after all, but she’d known them long enough to differentiate them by their actions… and their dress. Lukas would never have brought her a bag of ice for the party, not that she really needed one, but it did mean they could put a bucket of ice and beer out by the pool now, one thing she hadn’t planned ahead for. Her eyes ran down his form, to his lack of a bathing suit, then back up to meet his eyes. Her arms folded over her chest, hip cocked just slightly, she stared at him. Definitely Logan, he was the only one who would come to her party in shorts and not a bathing suit.

”Thank you for the ice, now go put on a bathing suit.” Some warning entered her voice. If she had to, she would drag him upstairs, find him a bathing suit, and force him into it. It was a threat he should know she would follow through with. Celeste took the bag of ice from his hands and continued to stare at him, waiting for his argument and excuse for not wanting to wear a swim suit. It wouldn’t work on her, but he had to try anyways. It was just what Logan did.

Desire pulled herself out of the pool, pushing herself up onto the tile, dripping water everywhere. Being your typical teenage girl, well, in some ways, she was addicted to her cell phone. Not to the same extent as others were, but she could hear the little chirping over the music. Or maybe she was imagining it and just wanted to be texted. Either way, she made her way to her phone and checked her messages. Sure enough, there was one. From Lukas, who had spent the rest of his day trying to get Izzy’s attention. The thought soured her mood some. If he wanted her attention so bad, then he could forget about Desire letting him have any more fun with her. But then, that would be a disappointment for her as well, so she decided that was a bad thing to say. She was still upset with him, but she’d rather be able to enjoy him rather than letting Izzy win. She couldn’t let that demon woman win anything.

                                    To Lukas
                                    From Des
I’m here, but you’ll have to come find me.

There, then at least she could avoid him if she felt like it and be able to say he just couldn’t find her, or make it a game. She could just hang out in the pool and duck behind people whenever he came looking. Oh, that would be a fun game. Des slid the phone back beneath her towel and dove back into the pool, making her way to the far side quickly. And if he did find her, well, maybe he'd win something, she hadn’t decided yet. All she knew was that she was loving the pool and adoring her new swim suit. And missing Jericho. He was still upset with her, as far as she knew, and it was becoming frustrating. There had to be a way to make it up to him, but she hadn’t figured that quite out yet. She could just handcuff him to something and make demands, but that might just piss him off. Boys were… complicated.

The school had been a buzz all day about the big pool party. The ever smart and thinking ahead Robin had listened in as mostly the popular kids talked about it. It wasn't long till he found out who's party it was and where it was located. From the entail that he had gathered, the party was thrown by a very rich girl named Celeste. The man himself had not meet her, or actually even seen her but that was of no problem. All he had to do was find someone who looked very vain once he was in. The women wasn't his main target tonight. Hopefully, Pan, being Pan would show up as well. The house sounded rather large according to the bits and pieces he had overheard. Robin might need Pan's, er special set of skills.

Once home Robing got to work on his plan. Step one was to blend in. It was a pool party, so that meant wearing a swimsuit. It was a good thing he had one still, his family was very poor and couldn't afford anything new. The swimsuit was in poor shape however, the pockets were hoely and some of the seems were popping loose. Sighing to himself he just took off his clothes and put on the swimsuit. 'This will have to do..' Once he was dressed he simply told his mother he was going to a social event. Being the kind hearted and trusting sole she was the only thing she said to him was, "have fun" and, "be home before 10!" Little did she know what her son had planned, though if she had known she would have been a mix of proud and upset.

Now Robin might not have been rich but he was very sly, he had managed get himself to the party by asking one of the neighbors, he told them that he needed to help out his new friend Celeste with an important party. Everyone in the neighborhood loved Robin so they didn't doubt or question him much at all. Off they went to a very big and rich looking house. Getting out of the car, the thief did a quick scan of the house itself. Two story, lots of windows, but not just a lot to land on if he needed to jump out of a window. That wasn't good, frowning he walked toward the gate leading to the pool area. The window problem wouldn't detour him from a fast escape if he needed it, but it would slow him down. He might need more stealth then he first thought. Robin was always up for a challenge though.

On to the next step, get into the party, find out how Celeste was, and blend in for awhile. That part would be fairly easy. Rich people like this Celeste girl didn't usually care who came to a party. Usually it was the more people the better to show off their wealth. A bit disgusting in the sight of Robin, but that mattered not. He was here now, inside the back yard. There were serval people here already. A couple of guys and a curly haired lady at the food table, a few people in the pool, and, Pan..by a girl. Robin couldn't help but raise an eye brow. It was unusual for the boy to talk to a girl. Unlike Robing, Pan had never known love, or even cared about it. Maybe it would be best to leave Pan to the girl, for now. It could be good for the boy to grow up a little by taking some interest in the opposite gender. Walking around the party he took in all the faces. The question now was, who should he ask about Celeste?

It seemed as if somebody had the exact same idea as he did. She seemed to grab a bottle and just take a big swig. Something told him it was partly because he was there but that was the least of his concerns at least at the moment. He leaned over the bar grabbing a couple of glasses before motioning to Megara. "Mind if I borrow that?" he questioned raising an eyebrow almost expecting some kind of hostile reply even if she was smirking at the moment. Well something must be playing though her head and he was pretty sure it wasn't going to be good.

Regardless his eyes flicked around the bar slipping behind it momentarily grabbing a few bottles and pouring them in various parts in the two glasses before sliding one towards the brunette wondering if she would risk it. Maybe it would make her a bit less of a b***h. Although he had a feeling that might be a little more impossible than anything. Regardless he downed the concoction in one of the glasses. before giving a small smirk. "Try not to choke on it." he teased raising an eyebrow wondering what she was going to do.

Axel just couldn’t leave her alone, could he? He grabbed two glasses, two of them. Neither Moira nor Ryker was in sight, meaning he probably picked the glass out for her. It made her scowl some, though, as the alcohol started through her system, scowling was becoming a little difficult, even with the devil himself around. He asked for the Jack Daniels, and Meg hesitated. He was actually being somewhat… civil. He had to be drunk already, right? Axel wasn’t a nice person. He was ruse and controlling and womanizing. He didn’t do civil. So, instead of giving him her personal bottle, Meg grabbed another one from the shelf and handed it to him, becoming curious as to what he planned on making. ”Where are your minions?” She asked, keeping to the side of the bar, making sure to have a foot or so between the two of them at all times. No need to get herself trapped, again.

Her eyes stayed on the two glasses the whole time, as he poured drink after drink into the two glasses, creating some form of new and unusual concoction. She hadn’t seen him slip anything into the drink, but when Axel slid it to her, she was still hesitant to take it. When he downed his easily, not seeming phased by it, Meg decided it was worth the risk. She hadn’t seen him slip anything in there or do anything else that could be considered sketchy, so she assumed it was safe. Still a little unsure, Meg put the Jack back on the bar and sipped the drink. It didn’t taste bad, and it didn’t seem at all suspicious, so she took a few more, finishing it off much faster than she should have. ”So, plan on sharing with my why you’re being nice all of a sudden? Wait, let me guess, you’re not Axel, you’re his secret twin who isn’t actually a jackass? Oh, maybe aliens came down and swapped you out for a nicer alien copy.” It was meant to be a joke, but she was curious. Axel wasn’t a particularly nice person unless that was a reason for it, at least, that’s what she had seen so far.

She didn't look best pleased did she? Well with him standing next to her that was understandable. He couldn't help but chuckle as she watched him seeming hesitant at first. It was an usual sight at least for him. He couldn't help but chuckle at that. It was amusing catching her off guard. Well the Jack hadn't gone into the drink he had made for them both but after he had downed his he started a nice slow pour of JD into his glass as Meg seemed to debate drinking hers. Did he really have the energy to argue with her after the little problem he had.....Nope not right now at least.

                                ”Where are your minions?”

"Oh they are behind you ready to stick a bag out over your head and bundle you into a trunk." he joked with a shrug. He wondered what she would say to that. She was making sure to keep a distance and it was pretty amusing for him. "I'm sure that Ry is here already Mori....I'm unsure I'm not even sure." He was pretty sure that Ryker had left when the argument on the phone started to get a little......heated but he wasn't too sure. At least it seemed she had drank the drink. Once her glass was empty he topped it up with the Jack that she had given him.

”So, plan on sharing with my why you’re being nice all of a sudden? Wait, let me guess, you’re not Axel, you’re his secret twin who isn't actually a jackass? Oh, maybe aliens came down and swapped you out for a nicer alien copy.”

Well it seemed she still had her bitchy shoes on. He let out a small sigh as he downed the Jack that was in his glass before laying it down a little more aggressively than he had anticipated he would. The glass filling was getting bothersome though so he just sipped.....Well gulped at his bottle. "Don't like it when I'm a jackass, Don't like it when I try to be nice. I just can't win with you can I?" he questioned raising an eyebrow his eyes remaining on her.

Megara couldn’t help feeling uneasy around him, even though he was being somewhat nice. All he had ever been around her was a jackass. Forcing her to do this or that, ordering her around, trapping her, touching her… He wasn’t a particularly nice guy. Girls like Moira, they liked him, got along with guys like him. But Meg wasn’t like Moira, she wasn’t about to get hung up on some stupid guy. They were just untrustworthy as a whole, as she had learned the hard way. And Axel? He had just enforced that knowledge of guys as a whole. He made a comment on his minions waiting to shove a bag over her head and shove her into a trunk, and she chuckled softly at it. They weren’t, but if he thought he was ever going to get her into a trunk then he must be crazy. ”You have learned that I don’t give up that easily, right?” She asked, still somewhat dryly. The alcohol was having an effect on her, but not quite enough for her to be comfortable around him.

Ryker was already there. For a guy, he had never actually been that bad of a person. He screwed girls over frequently, but at the same time, he made sure to make the girl as happy as possible with the end of their relationship. Not that Meg would trust him with her life, he did work for Axel after all, best friends, but he was more tolerable than some men. Like Axel. Ironic, really. ”Shouldn’t you be a little more worried about her? Isn’t she your little toy?” Meg did appreciate Moira existing. There were many other things Axel could ask from her, but Moira was there to provide those things for him.

Axel was definitely drinking tonight. Maybe being drunk would turn him back into a pumpkin. Meg took a few, smaller sips of the Jack he had filled her glass with. No need to get completely drunk and uninhibited while she was in his company, there were far too many bad choices she could make that way. ”Well maybe if you weren’t a jackass at all times I wouldn’t be so uneasy about you being nice.” It came out a little harsher than she meant it, or maybe she had meant to be that cruel. ”It’s weird, you not being the Axel I know and loath.” Meg added, sipping her drink again. It was incredibly unsettling, really.

                                  WHERE| Celeste's Party WITH| Alice WHAT| A little worried

It seemed to take Alice a moment to adjust to not being on the bike and for a moment he was concerned she might tip over. It wasn’t surprising given she had mentioned before they took off that she had never been on one before. From the way she had struggled with the helmet at first, putting it on backwards, he was sure that was the truth. He could still feel the warmth from where her arms had been clamped like a death grip around his waist. It was a strangely pleasant sensation and he found himself wishing the ride had been just a bit longer. Usually the girls he took on rides couldn’t figure out how to hold on or put their hands in his crotch, not that it was a bad thing as usually he was trying to get laid, but it had been nice to have a bit of a change. Alice was certainly not most girls. She did look like she had enjoyed herself at least. That was a good thing. He didn’t know many girls that didn’t like going for a ride on his bike though, but mostly he figured that was the thrill of getting to be all up against him.

He watched Alice for her reaction to the party, worried that it was going to be too much for her. He was the one that had talked her into going and he didn’t want to have been wrong about being able to handle it. She really was a great girl, and she deserved to be able to have a little fun. As she looked in at the party he could see the tension move through her body. She took a step closer to him then. Her eyes focused on something directly in front of them and he could only guess that it was one of her hallucinations. Crap, had he really gotten her into a situation that would stress her out this badly? It seemed though that the feeling of his hand in hers brought her back to him. She squeezed his hand gently and he couldn’t help but frown a little at what she said.

She thought she had to go into the party because next year when he graduated she would be alone and would have to get over it. That was one way to look at it he supposed but it sounded so negative. He didn’t like that. He moved to stand in front of her so that all she could see was him. It wasn’t hard given that he was almost a foot taller than the blonde. The hand not holding hers came up to touch her cheek gently for a moment. “Hey, you really don’t have to, but if that’s want you want I’ll be here every step of the way,” he commented with a soft reassuring smile. With that he turned toward the party and led her inside. He wasn’t sure where they should go first, normally he would steer a date towards the drinks to start off the night but in this case he wasn’t sure whether or not that was a good idea. Smoking seemed to calm her but he had no idea what affect alcohol would have on her. Once they were in the door the music surrounded them and he let go of her hand so that he could put his arm around her instead, hoping that would be a bit more comforting. “Where would you like to start?” he called down at her loudly so he could hear her over the music.

Theo Tweed

★ ☆★ ☆★ ☆★ ☆★ ☆★ ☆

Only yesterday, it seemed he had been in the country. Not a care in the world. Everything was new and different back then. The sights, the smells, the sounds, it was all so invigorating. Where were they now? In some small little apartment in the city. Granny had told him it was to better his education, that after years of homeschooling him, she thought it would be best to be with more kids his age. It was more than that though, and Theo knew it. Just recently, in fact him and his best friend had a falling out of sorts. A hunting trip with his father had turned him into something different. Theo had been willing to accept his friend as he was, but his friend, well, he had brushed him aside like he was a annoying little boy.

It had hurt, a lot. Almost as much as a break up might have hurt. Knowing his grandma, that was why she wanted to move. At least, he hoped it was the only reason why they had moved. They were both so out of their element here in the city. Granny stared at Theo now with a sad sort of look on her aged face. "Theo, there's something I need to tell you.." Theo gulped very audibly and tried changing the subject before she could finish her sentence.
"Oh Gran, i'm sure it's not important, come one, let's go check out the town or something.." Granny just shook her head and made her voice firmer.
"No Theo, not today. I went to the doctors, and there wasn't any good news." Granny paused for a moment and made sure he was listening. Surely her adoptive grandson would listen to her, after all, she wasn't calling him by his nickname. The special one only she and his ex-best friend used.
"I'm Dying Theo. I'm dying of Breast cancer.." Theo was flabbergasted. This, this just couldn't be!

"There, there has to be a mistake!" Theo sad suddenly his whole facial expression dropping. Granny shook her head. "The doctors are doing all they can. It, it doesn't look good Theo. We need to discuss more details as to what will happen next though.." Theo took in her words as he started feeling tears come to his eyes. His grandmother, the one person who had loved him as he was sure his mother would have, was dying. It might not be soon, but soon enough that it hurt. "I..I don't think I can talk about all of that.." He finally said to her looking away. Gran clasped her hand together and put them on the table and nodded. She understood, this was a lot to take in. Gran had not wanted to move them from their lovely country home, it was just that her health was declining to rapidly for her to keep up on farm work. Theo was much to wild to take care of a farm. Here in the city, he might be able to do it. Also, with her little saving, he might be able to get himself a home so he wouldn't have to live on the streets. That was a different matter for a different day.

Silence filled the room for a long time as Granny Tweed stared at Theo. Theo didn't look at her, not one time. He just couldn't right now. It was to much. How was he suppose to start school tomorrow with this on his mind? Sighing, he got up from the table, his eyes still looking away from hers. "I'm going for a walk.." He told her as he turned around and headed out the door. From the corner of his eye he could see her just looking down and nodding slowly back. With that he left his little apartment and just started walking. Turning corner after corner. Thinking about everything at once. How, how could she move them if she knew this? Surely she must have known about the illness? Did she not trust him with the farm? Also, why hadn't she told him sooner? Why did she have to leave him? All these thoughts plagued his mind until Theo ran into a poll.

SMACK! "Ouch!" Theo Exclaimed as he harshly landed onto the concrete below him. Looking up now at the street signs he realized, he was very lost. "Crap!" Theo had been so lost in thought he had gotten himself into unfamiliar territory. Getting up he heard loud music and lots of splashing coming from a near by house. There was some sort of get together going on. "I bet there is someone there who could help me.." Walking swiftly Theo let himself into the backyard and straight amongst the crowd. There were so many people his age it was almost overwhelming. Going towards a female who looked friendly, he walked right up to her and said, "Sorry to bother you, but could you tell me where I am? I'm horribly lost.."

                            WHERE| Celeste's Party WITH| Axel/Meg WHAT| Bored
After her morning escapades with Axel, and him taking off without her, she had taken his car and gone to school on her own. It wasn’t like they were always together. That would be boring. She had a life outside of the people she lived with. The day had gone by rather slowly for Moira’s taste, but then most days at school did. Nothing eventful had happened, and people had been just as predictable as they always were. Popular girls gossiping away about their summer, jocks high fiving and talking about upcoming sports or how try outs went, goth kids whining and listening to crap music, and so on. It was just a typical day in hell for the girl and she had been tempted to just leave but skipping on the first day just seemed ridiculous. Not that she would have missed anything really but she didn’t feel like dealing with any of the staff about it. They were irritating most of the time at least and downright infuriating at worst. No, she would rather sit through boring class after boring class than deal with that.

When the final bell had rung Moira gathered her things slowly and took her time to leave campus. Fighting through the crowd of teens flooding the halls to get out of there was another thing that was not on her agenda. Waiting was much easier. She lingered at the door of her last class until it seemed the halls were less active and then headed out to Axel’s car. In the parking lot she looked around, checking for both Axel and Ryker’s bikes. Both vehicles were already gone. They must have been in a hurry to get out of there. Probably had dates to the party she had heard about during lunch. Those two boys were pretty good at that sort of thing. With a sigh she got into the car and headed back to the house. Axel’s bike was out front where he usually parked it.

Before she even got inside the house she could hear Axel screaming at someone. Given that she could not hear anyone else she knew he must be on the phone, and from the sounds of it with a distributor. It sounded like they were trying to get Axel to pay more for his supplies. She sighed lightly and did her best to enter the house silently. When he was in this sort of mood he could be incredibly volatile. Not that she couldn’t defuse that easily, she just didn’t feel up to it at the moment. She managed to get into the bed room to change and while she was slipping into her bathing suit for the party she heard something slam the wall. From the sounds of it, that thing was Axel’s cell phone. Well he would be hard to get a hold of. She couldn’t help but laugh a little. That boy when through cell ones like they were going out of style. Shortly after the cell phone was destroyed she hear the front door followed by his bike starting up. He was headed to the party, no doubt to get drunk and try to enjoy himself.

She finished getting ready, grabbed her beach towel and headed back out to Axel’s car. She didn’t have one of her own and with both of the boys having left without her she wasn’t about to walk. If she had been anyone else Axel would have killed her by now for driving his car. That thing was like his baby, second only to his bike. There were still times even with her that he bitched but usually that was easy to distract him from. Moira was incredibly adept at diffusing those sorts of situations. She drove to the party at an easy pace and arrived at Celeste’s house a few short minutes later, parking a bit down the road so that Axel’s car would be safe from any drunken idiots that might cause it any harm. She didn’t mind walking a block or so and it wasn’t like it would be hard to know which house the party was in. From there she could already hear the noise.

She reached the front door in time to watch Ryker heading inside with a small bleach blonde under his arm. That didn’t surprise her in the least, though not much really did. When she made it through the door she caught sight of Axel at the bar downing a bottle of Jack Daniels with Meg nearby. They looked like they were having an interesting conversation and Moira decided that a drink would be nice so she headed over to them. Slipping up next to Axel she snatched the bottle from his grip and took a deep swig. When she was satisfied she put the bottle back in his hand and looked between the two of them. “You two look like you are having a blast,” she commented in an almost bored tone before looking around at the party unfolding before them. Typical teenage house party.

                                  WHERE| Celeste's Party WITH| Darren/Jason/Theo WHAT| Annoyed

Now wasn’t this grand, alone at the bar surrounded by all of the idiots she did he best to avoid all day at school. Isabeau was suddenly starting to wonder why the hell she had agreed to come to this ridiculous get together to begin with. Yeah, Celeste was pretty demanding about everyone being in attendance to her display of wealth and power, but Isabeau was not in the least afraid of what people labled “Celeste’s wrath”. She was pretty sure the little queen bee couldn’t fight her way out of a wet paper bag. Wouldn’t want to mess up her pretty face after all right? And yet here she was, in the middle of the whole thing. And alone for that matter now that Lukas had decided to “give her a taste of her own medicine” to coin a phrase. Boring. Sometimes it was quite frustrating to the brunette that Lukas could be so unimaginative. She realized that was probably part of being of a much higher intelligence level than the people around her, but sometimes she had high hopes for the people she chose to associate with. Lukas was stupid by any means, but usually you’d be hard pressed to get him to express that in any kind of way. It was easier to be dumb and violent to get your way. Less work, she supposed.

While Isabeau was sipping at the whiskey in her glass, lost in thought, it seemed that one of the two jocks nearby decided she looked like she wanted some company. She raised a brow as he shifted his body so that she was now part of their little catching up conversation. On any other night she probably would have just walked away without another word but tonight she was bored, so she down her whiskey and set the glass on the bar with a thump turning to face the two boys. “Hi,” she replied dully looking the two over. The first one that had spoken to her looked like every other thick-necked jock, stereotypically attractive, confident and more than likely dumb as a box of rocks. The other though, he seemed softer, looked more like any normal high school boy. She had seen them both around a time or two but had never bothered to learn either of their names. They ran in a very different crowd. She moved a step or two closer to the first boy and listened to them talk about family.

Before long the smaller of the two boys looked at her, seemed to think about something for a moment and then spoke. “Good party, yeh?” he asked. Again one of her brows raised. “I suppose if you like this sort of thing,” she answered with a bit of a shrug leaning against the bar next to Mr. Muscles. “Not really my scene,” she added, a smirk forming on her lips as she looked around again. People dancing, drinking, flirting...that kind of thing was just not as entertaining to her as it was, apparently, to most of the rest of the world. She just wasn't really the party type. Something about getting stupid drunk and dancing around in her bathing suit like a freak just didn't appeal to her.

Before she could say anything else on the matter a red haired boy approached her looking a bit terrified. As he spoke she looked herself over, wondering what in the world had made this kid think she was the kind of person to be helpful. She wasn’t smiling and she had been told that she was a bit intimidating. Maybe he was drunk. He was lost and didn’t know where he was. Well now that was interesting. How did you just randomly stumble into a party and have no idea where you were? She sighed lightly and crossed her arms over her chest. She looked around for a moment before looking back at the kid in front of her. “Do I look like an atlas?” Her answer was blunt and probably a little mean but she couldn’t really be bothered. She was pretty sure she didn’t have “talk to me” written on her forehead, but apparently that was what everyone else was seeing tonight. Maybe one of the jocks would be more helpful, but she wasn’t in the mood to give directions.

Whoever this guy was, he seemed pleased that El knew the poem as well. The smile on his face overshadowed the shirt on his head, which was a little strange. It wasn’t very hot outside so she was a bit confused by it. They weren’t in a desert, either. But he knew Plath, and that meant he had to be a good person. Or a crazy person, but sometimes they were the same— like Max. Either way, El was excited and she didn’t get excited easily. It was even stranger, but she could have sworn his eyes changed color. As far as she knew, eyes only changed color with contacts. But his eyes went from blue to a more green hue. She was happy that he actually spoke back to her— not in poetry. It wouldn’t have bothered her to trade bits of poems back and forth but he was intriguing and El wanted to know about him as a person.

She laughed at his response, shaking her head. At least he got points for spontaneity, even if she did want to know his name. El hoped that he might share it with her later. “Mystery Reciter seems better fitting. Plath usually means girls, and you’re not a girl.” As she said it, El looked him up at down, as if to make sure. It was her version of a joke but she had never been very good at them.

After he crouched next to her, she turned to face him straight on. If they were going to have a conversation she wanted to catch everything. El let him take the book— she wasn’t worried about him ruining it. Most the time she never lent out her books for that reason. Once you have someone return a book to you, years later, with scribbles in the margin, a falling apart spine, and highlights all over it, well, you learn. Mystery Reciter’s comment made her curious. “You’re a writer too? If you’re going to be one of the greats you have to live a life worth writing about. That’s the trick.” she paused for a moment, “Anais Nin said ‘We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.’ I’m not a writer, but that sounds true.” A large smile was on her face. It made sense now— he was a writer, which was why he knew Plath. El had never met someone who wrote before, and all she did was read.

She was happy that he sat down. That meant they would continue the conversation since he was quickly becoming more interesting to her. El wondered why she hadn’t seen him at school, if he even went to Renatus. And if he didn’t, why was he at Celeste’s party? It wouldn’t have bothered her if he crashed it— when you opened your front door you really didn’t get to decide who came in and who didn’t anymore. But when he stopped smiling, hers dropped too. El was worried she might say the wrong authors, end the conversation.

“I like lots of different authors…” she looked down for a moment as she tried to recall the ones he might like too— as if she could have any idea— “Emily Brontë, George Orwell, Poe who only needs a last name, Pablo Neruda, e.e. cummings, Anne Sexton, umm, Emily Dickinson?” The last part came out as a question because she didn’t want her Mystery boy to up and leave. It was hard for El to talk to strangers as a rule, but she had managed to this time. “I also read a lot of non-fiction, like psychology and sociology and um, anatomy books.” She smiled a lot more shyly now, flexing her thumb between her opposite hand’s first finger and thumb.

Sorry it took me a bit-- I was debating on which authors El would like too. c:
