Joan cocked her head with an amused smile as the boy spoke to her, different, almost transformed. A lord of time, he said... How masochistic she was to be excited by this prospect. How unbelievably insane was she to be eager to see just how her extermination would take place. It was almost disappointing when Narendra stepped up to control him once more. "You can stop the illusions now, they can't work on our race." Unceremoniously the apes dissipated into thin air, the hall refilled with the light of day. Trembling from the adrenaline that now coursed through her veins, Joan let out a loud laugh as she walked to catch up with them. "You're quite the amazing pair of students, then. I don't recall meeting a student impervious to my illusions in recent years, and now there are two."
She didn't ask about their race, about their history, sensing a tender subject. She knew that they (or at least, the one who was prepared to erase her from existence) looked down upon humans, and until she had fallen into their better graces, such inquiries would produce null. Though playfully, almost foolishly, Joan began to satisfy her curiosity through safer topics. "Your brother has difficulties controlling himself I see. I assume that Power Management is among your classes for this year? A Training Class would also come in handy. If not to hone your powers, to perfect using them and keeping them under check in field situations. Speaking about behavior under field situations..." Joan looked up towards Odoya at the end of the hall and winked at Narendra as if they shared a devilish little secret. "I do believe we've scared her."
Joan looked up as she approached the frightened little hummingbird, grinning as if she hadn't just been threatened by a student who had yet to unpack. "You look a little pale, darling. I hope I didn't worry you." Prancing a little in the last few steps she took towards her roommate, Joan gestured towards Narendra and the brother currently hoisted over his shoulder. "I dare say I'll have to file a complaint. As an escort, one must make sure that those one leads arrive at their destination unharmed and preferably conscious."
