Saint Vincent High School (Open and accepting)

Lan was still looking through his bag when he pulled out a stuffed cat plushy, "What is this doing here?" He put it back in and looked at the teacher with a smile, "Oh yes that sounds good, I really can't be late the first day." He smiled and decided to fallow her.

Janis walked down the main hall towards the general common area with Lan in tow. Once there, she took a sharp left and walked a few more feet, coming to the attendance office. As she opened the door, she turned back to Lan, and smiled, walking in.

Leaning on the desk, Janis address the secretary. "Good morning. I have a new student here with me who seems to be lacking a schedule. Do you think you could get a copy of that for us? His name is Lan Moore." As the secretary began typing on her keyboard, Janis turned partway to Lan again. "Cute cat plushy by the way." She said with a grin while adjusting her glasses.

Lan blushed and looked away, "I ahh... can't ahhh..... get rid of it..... I've had it for ever. "He looked down red, "I must have put it in there by accident." He felt like such a child, still carrying around a plushy like that, he felt like he always forgot to leave it at home.

Janis' grin widened at his reaction. "There's no problem with carrying around a plushy. When I was in high school, I knew a guy who carried around a plush-dog bag stuffed with candy, and miniature plush dolls. He was a really cool guy, but a bit obsessed. So you can't let go of it... at least you're not obsessed; just think of it that way." Janis said as the secretary's printer whirred, Lan's schedule on it's way to physical existence. The attendance secretary at St. Vincent's was much more efficient than the one that had been at her high school...

Janis was rambling a bit; she tended to do that, especially early in the morning. Also, she had found that the more she talked to students, the more comfortable they seemed to be around her.

Lan smiled, "Yeah I guess that's something." He looked as he waited for the schedule, "Maybe I'll have you for a class or something? Maybe just maybe right?" He smiled ready to take the schedule, " I'll leave it home tomorrow I promise."

Janis took the schedule from the secretary and handed it to Lan. "You probably will," She replied. "I teach most levels of English. Whether I teach one of your classes or not though, if you need any more help around school, I'm happy to give it." She said as she led him back out of the attendance office. "From here you should head off to your first class. The room numbers are clearly marked, but you should give yourself plenty of time to get to your first class, to make sure you don't wind up late and all."

Adjusting her glasses once again - they were always slipping down her nose -, and unconciously moving her hair out of her eyes, Janis paused to think for a moment, then spoke again. "I guess I'll see you around then Lan. I really ought to get back to my classroom so I can be present for any other early students. You got everything you need now?"

Lan smiled and nodded, "Yes I can do this on my own from this point on, thank you" He smiled as he headed on his way out, looking at the list in his hand trying to figure out where he had to head to next. He smiled and leaned against the wall, "Weird day hmm."

Smiling her ever-present smile at Lan's back as he walked away, Janis too turned, and walked back to her classroom. There wasn't anyone there yet, so she sat back down in her chair, and resumed her former position.

Ameko looked up as she walked onto the school grounds, hugging her backpack infront of her instead of having it on her back. "T-Time for a n-new school..." She whispered to herself, looking down to her feet as she walked forward. Because of this, Her hair kind of hid her face.

Katrina picked up the bagel and threw it away. She took out her cell phone and looked at the time. There was only ten minutes left before school started. She skipped back over to Alexander and said "Hey, Xander. Let's start this year off great! I'm gonna go change and get my schedule, come with me." They both picked up their things and headed for the girls bathroom located in the cafeteria.

Alexander waited for Katrina outside he girls bathroom as she changed. Katrina walked out of the bathroom and was now wearing her soccer uniform. Alexander chuckled and said "I'll be back." Alexander headed into the boys bathroom and changed into his soccer uniform too. He walked back over to Katrina and said "Didn't think I'd let you be the only one showing school pride, did you?" They both laughed and headed to the main office to get their class schedules.

Mr. Buckle walked out of his office once he heard the familiar voices of Katrina and Alexander. He saw them waiting to get their schedules, dressed in their soccer uniforms "Well, look who we have here. I can see that you two are happily showing off yout school pride." Katrina and Alexander both smiled at him and he reached into his pocket and took out their schedules "I believe these belong to you two." They both thanked him and Mr. Buckle waved to them as they left.

Felicia looked at her class roster for her first class of the day and smiled when she saw Katrina's and Alexander's name there. "Looks like they're starting their days with PE and ending them with soccer." She let out a soft chuckle and said "They are so going to slack off during PE class." She then shook her head and laughed a little."Who can blame them...I'd do the same thing."

Ameko finally stopped in the middle of a hallway, and went digging threw her backpack. "S-Schedule... Schedule... Where...!!! N-No...!" She whispered to herself, digging through her bag further, she finally gave up and she held back tiny tears. "M-My schedule..." She walked up to a vacant wall and set her head against it. "I-I'm.. going to fail..." She hugged her back pack further to her chest.

Amy rushed into the school, believing that she was indeed late for class. She had texted her schedule into her phone; so she took it out and read over it. "Mkay..ugh. Perfect" she groaned when she couldn't find her classroom. Amy just gave up and sat on a chair in the hallway. She put her head in her hands and shook it slowly. "What to do...what to do" she repeated to herself. Amy sighed and inhaled slowly.

Katrina and Alexander had gone to their lockers and put their clothes in them. Katrina closed her locker and said "To think...in just a few days, out lockers are gonna be filled with textbooks." She let out a sigh and looked at Alexander, she then glanced past him and saw Ameko with her head against the wall. She pointed Ameko out to Alexander.

Alexander chuckled and said "Yeah, textbooks you're barely gonna touch." When Kattrina pointed behind him he turned and saw Ameko. "What do you think is wrong?" Before Katrina answered she already headed toward Ameko. Alexander smiled and said "There goes Katrina."

Katrina walked over to Ameko and said "Are you alright?" She let out a soft laugh and said "I don't think you'll be able to move the wall with your head, believe me, I've tried once before."

Alexander looked up and saw Amy sitting in a chair and shyly walked over to her. "Um...are you alright?" he asked shyly.

Ameko Lifted her head from the wall quickly and to the side to look at Katrina. She nearly gave herself a case of whiplash. Sitll, her eyes were wide in surprise. "A-Ah, Uhm... I-I-I... seem t-to have lost my s-s-s-schedule..." She said shyly, blushing in embaressment. Did she really look like she was trying to move the wall with her head...?

Katrina smiled and said "Oh, you can get a copy of your schedule there. I can walk you there if you want." She smiled at Ameko and waited for her answer.
