Acario's mind was muddled with anger, so he was being a bit reckless when simply charging at the girl, however he focused enough to wonder why she had pushed the orb forward. Suddenly, he got his answer as his vision was obscured. He could no longer see Viktoria and stopped moving, listening for any give away to her position. At the sound of the projectile firing off, his eyes went wide and moved quickly to the side as it barely missed its mark, skimming his side instead of burying deep in his torso. "Aw, you ruined my uniform.... Pity." He chuckled, not really sorry at all, he'd give anything to get rid of the stupid thing and wear his own clothes instead, he was actually somewhat grateful now, however, the negative emotions still greatly outweighed the positive. He practically rolled his eyes as Viktoria explained why she thought he needed guidance and ignored the comment entirely. She didn't understand. No one did. A hero. How the hell was he a hero in any way...? Something special? Unlikely. He wanted to spit, torn between memories and his current anger at Akira and everyone. "What's wrong Vikki? Can't fight me without your stupid light tricks? Coward..." He taunted, aura crackling some more, hissing and popping around the small cut at his side. If this was how she was going to attack, he may solidify the rest of his aura armor, a fair trade off to her vision obscuring magic. His mind however, was growing far distant from the fight at hand as his eyes shifted back to Akira on the platform in front of them. He was more cunning than anyone else knew, damn b*****d... Acarios eyes shifted uneasily, moving in and out from reality to pure memory. A crowd cheered, a boy left alone in the dark, smileing up at him even though he had no reason to smile. "Cut your crap and fight me already!!!" Acario growled at Vikki, armor pulsing and forming around his chest and arms. The plating was very heavy, but Acario had a strong combination of speed and strength. His stamina was above average but not by much, however his strong will and determination made up for that, with the backlash of pushing his body over the edge when all was said and done.

“You should be nervous.” Kuro said, in a whispered tone. He could see that his mistress was enjoying this. She was becoming more and more lively and energetic with every blow or near hit. This only made the demon cat anxious and worried. This meant she may be willing to try her best, and would most likely be disappointed with the results. She was still in training, everyone was, and the fact of beating their own instructor was nigh impossible, even if they were quite skilled. Of course Saki wouldn’t be interested in hearing this.

And she wasn’t. She had actually completely tuned out her companion, and was watching the sparring match closely. She was slightly disappointed that Cam was not able to land a hit on his first try, but continued to look on intensely. Although the next attempt did not happen until a few lectures from Walfric, it was worth the wait. The chimera attempted the same tactic, which at first seemed hopeless but then there was more. Cam was flinging hits with such enthusiasm that it was baffling. Where he got the sudden motivation, she couldn’t say.

The werewolf, on the other hand was quick to react, dodging as much as he could, seeming to dodge more as the strikes continued. Cam was able to land some good hits, but in the end, he lost. Saki was nothing less than happy with the outcome, however. The only thoughts that came across her mind was if Cam could give Walfric a decent match, why couldn’t she?

When Walfric chose Ichiro as his next victim, Saki turned to the Chimera and gave him a thumbs up. “You did great!” She praised with seemingly endless energy. Kuro pawed at her leg as a gently reminder to keep calm. Energy and Saki never did go well together.

User ImageHis dodge was fantastic. Appearantly he was clever enough to figure out that the orb was merely there to block vision, which gave him enough time to dodge teh following attack. She stood there slightly frusterated, and instantly retracted the claws. Her frusteration went away once she noticed a small bit of blood and a ripped uniform on him. It meant that she still hit him, and she wasn't even really expecting that. Then again it was good to keep expectations low, especially in battle. As said from before, negative emotions effected how well you battled, so it was good not to be let down. "Coward? HOW THE HELL AM I THE COWARD!? You're the one who picks on the weak or the ones who are decent enough not to retaliate. You pick on them so you don't have to have any problems later on! You're a Joke, not a hero, and currently your attitude makes me sick." The pure disgust could be heard in her voice. This was something she was passionate, and hopefully he could feel how she actually felt.

She took note of the armour that came to life around his torso. At this rate she was going to have some issues with winning this, especially if he just kept on making more armour. She had to act fast or else she was going to be completely useless. Acario was definately right about one thing though, she relied on deception way too much for her own good. She took a moment to think up a new plan. So I guess the orb will be good for his armour, it's blunt and heavy, so it packs a lot of punch...and my blades for his flesh. Legs, go for the legs... AHA! Her plan came to life. She was going to use more decption, however with her weapons this time. The orb was a wonderful thing, it was incredibly fast, and bright. She began waving her gloved hand around in circles with her pointer finger towards the sky. The flashy object began to circle around him in a rapid speed. Hopefully This would make him think an attack from the orb was going to happen. Once she figured he was distracted enough by the bright light, she shot forth her claws yet again, however she shot with her two middle fingers pointed away from eachother. That meant one claw for each leg. She aimed so that one would hit his left thigh, and another his right foot. It would make for a harder dodge, even if he did see it comming. And finally as soon as he made a move for a dodge, the orb would come from behind once it hit that area from its circling pattern. He didn't have a helmet, so she aimed for the back of his head. With not enough force to kill, but definately enough force to do some serious damage, perhaps a concussion? Perhaps more than what she originally intended. She was quite upset from his previous actions within the morining, and was having a hard time controlling what she was doing.

Ichiro frowned as he watched what looked like a great strike from Cam, fall short -- failing to land a hit on Wulfric as he blocked the strikes coming for him. Guess there was no fooling Wulfric. The tactic wasn't credible enough, and as Wulfric had put it, Cam needed to follow through with more enthusiasm to fake out his target. Since Ichiro himself relied on tricks to win his fights, he'd do well to remember this piece of advise Wulfric had given Cam.

Silently, Ichiro observed as Wulfric demonstrated his advice, through, he relented and didn't follow through with his feinted strike. Guess he only interested in the demonstration part, rather than flat out injuring Cam. Instead, he simply asked Cam to try again, right after lecturing him. Cam didn't seem too pleased with his words at first, and made his apology for coming to class late. By the sound of his tone, Ichiro figured it wouldn't soon happen again. Looking over Cam's stance, Ichiro couldn't help but wonder if Cam would employ the same tactics or give Wulfric's strategic advice a try. Though, before Cam got started with his third attempt, Ichiro grimaced when Wulfric took the time to remind him that he hadn't forgotten him -- mentioning that sugar-laced words weren't going to buy his respect. True. But Ichiro was certain he could get away with anything, so long as his apologizes sounded sincere or if he make himself appear feeble enough and not anyone's time. Though, Wulfric was a little more difficult to convince... or move really.

"Right, um.... disregard what I said." He retorted in a low tone before returning his attention back to Cam. Seemed for a moment the Chimera was lost in thought, probably planning out his next move. Whatever it was that he had thought of, it seemed Cam was more eager this time, rushing toward the combat instructor with more vigor. Ichiro held his breath as he watched the Chimera's next set of actions unfold. This attempt was vast improvement, landing a few hits, albeit some blocked, but enough to cause some notable damage. Though, it wasn't without it repercussions. By throwing his tail into the mix, Cam left it and himself open to a few retaliations. Ichiro flinched as he watched Wulfric disarm the Chimera and deliver a swift kick that sent him to the ground, probably knocking the wind out of him. Cam put up a pretty good fight, considering his odds, so Ichiro felt like congratulating him in a way, Though, this thoughts were relinquished when he heard Wulfrick call him out, indicating that he'd be squaring off against him next.

Ichiro gave a hard swallow, before giving a subconscious nod. "I'd really rather not spar against you. I mean... I'm probably not worth your time." Ichiro attempted to reason. But something told him Wulfric wouldn't have it. Casting a sidelong gaze towards Cam, he noted the obvious damage he had taken. The scrapes and cuts to his body, Ichiro could picture himself in that same condition, maybe even worse depending on what sort of attempt he put fourth. What was even thinking...? He had no tactics when it came to swords fights. Continuing to look over the injured Chimera, that was when Ichiro noted the worried look Cam shot him, mouthing something something along the lines of 'sorry'. Ichiro only returned a rueful smile, before turning his attention back to the werewolf he'd be up against. His display wouldn't be nearly as good as Cam's, but he could try. Hopefully this fight wouldn't last long, same with the humiliation. Maybe Saki could do a lot better.

Remembering Wulfric's words about the battle beginning as soon as your own weapon was drawn, Ichiro made sure he was absolutely prepared before starting anything. "Alright, Sato... let's hope for the best." He mumbled to himself nervously before drawing his katana at his side. With that, he didn't waste not time moving into a desperate and head-long sprint towards Wulfric, with his sword raised. As he neared his target, Ichiro made a strong horizontal swing towards Wulfric, praying for the best outcome. He knew he was weak in general and preferred never to place himself in the way of danger, but he did know a few basics when it came to swords play. Just, he could never employ them himself. That was what his marionettes were for. Unfortunately, magic was prohibited in this fight.

Maria took the help that was offered to her. Akira seemed like a nice person unlike his brother Acario who she would probably never understand. She made a metal note to tell him that his brother had his textbook. The last thing she would want is for him to be completely humiliated without some kind of a warning.

When Akira said he wanted her to promise him something Maria froze where she stood. She never took promises lightly and it was hard for her to make a promise. Of course once she did she wouldn't break it not even for an instant. When he told her to do all the attack she wasn't sure if she should seal the deal. 'Why would he want me to do all the attacking?' she thought before giving a light nod. "I promise." Maria told Akira sealing her deal with him.

Hearing that Akira wouldn't feel anything it made Maria, feel a bit better. "Alright I won't." she replied taking the knife from her hair. Maria would never have asked him about the cloak but sensed he was hiding something. She wasn't the time to ask any questions when it came to a person’s personal life. Maria would keep herself in the dark until a person chose to tell her their secrets.

Maria didn't like this idea but a promise was a promise. "Here goes nothing..." she muttered to herself as she ran at Akira at her usually fast speed. When she got close enough she tightened her grip on the knife in her hand and swung at Akira's chest. She hopped this was a good enough at a first attempt.

Acario smirked slightly, for a brief moment, because she was getting angry. He found it somewhat amusing and, even kind of cute, the way she so boldly called him out on what he did. if it weren't for the fact that he were so angry and distraught right now he might have attempted to casually calm her down or sweet talk her, but no. "You just figured that out...?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and pausing a moment to lean against his sword and slow clap, just for her. "Well, you'd be the first... But that's a bit of a backhanded statement there, saying you aren't a coward but I only pick on the weak.... Haven't I been picking on you this whole time?" He smirked, secretly loving the contempt she had for him. It was about time someone despised him for the despicable person he was, and he took all of it in willingly, but got himself ready for her next move. Suddenly the orb of light began spinning around him, faster and faster. He wondered what she had up her sleeve. He was distracted enough by the ball of light, and thought maybe the attack would come from it, rather than expecting anything else. It was quite clear he wasn't going anywhere anyways with that orb spinning around him. Suddenly he cried out as he felt a sharp pain in his thigh and foot, cursing himself for forgetting about the projectiles she had. A hard hit on the head with the orb wasn't exactly pleasant either. "S...Sial" He fell to his knees and cursed under his breath in his native language, ripping the daggers from his flesh. "You really ought to give yourself more credit for fighting... You come up with lots of good tactics..." He looked up and smiled, a bit of Akira showing through in his sudden softness. Slowly he stood up, using his sword as a crutch, but standing fully again and raising his sword, armor around his body crumbling away. Defense in exchange for speed. It was a sacrifice, but one he was willing to make. "Rule number one... Don't underestimate your opponent..." Of course he was speaking for both of them. He had been more on the defensive side to evaluate her abilities this whole fight, now it was his turn to attack. Pure white wings erupted from Acarios back, and suddenly, he was gone. He had flown off and come around directly behind Viktoria. "Boo." He said with a smile, and kicked her forwards, ignoring the throbbing pain in his head. He figured it would have hurt worse if he weren't so damn hardheaded, so even that came in handy sometimes.

Marcus' cold eyes looked over Ichiro as he suggested he wasn't worth his time. "All the more reason to spar with you. Everyone has to start somewhere, and it's always at the bottom. If you have natural talent, then good for you, but the way I see it, it's more rewarding when you're at the top of your game and you see how far you've come." He said, sheathing one of his scimitars as Ichiro brought out his katana. He made the first move, running towards him and preparing to do a horizontal slice. He blocked, disarmed, and caught the hilt of the blade in one fluid motion, finishing by crossing the two weapons at his neck in an x like fashion, but ultimately not hurting the boy. "Too predictable, everything about your stance said horizontal slice. Also, hold the hilt of your blade tighter, that weapon is the only defense and offense you've got, so grip it accordingly." He finished his corrections and handed the sword back to Ichiro. "Two handed weapons are usually made for power, using two hands to both carry the weight of the weapon, and have more body power behind the attack. They are stocky, and usually only end up bludgeoning the target to death, however, the katana is much different. The sword is designed for speed and efficiency, sharp enough to cut through bones with a single swipe without too much power behind the swing. I'd say that weapon suits you perfectly if you manage to master it, because come face to face with a magic eating daemon you'd want to get rid of the thing as quickly as possible without having to do too much work, am I correct?" He asked, but didn't really wait for an answer. "Firmer grip, sharper, fluid moves." He suggested again, and waited for the boy to come at him again.

☠ ☠【 Cam finally managed to recover enough, and he slowly staggered to his feet again, feeling much better than he had thirty seconds ago.
His eyes looked over to Saki as she gave him a thumbs up, saying he did great, well, he didn't exactly beat Wulfric, but the fact that he survived the sparring lesson, and managed to land some hits, it felt like an accomplishment to him.
" Thanks, Saki~" he said with a smile to her, before his eyes went over to Ichiro, who was next on the chopping block.
He said that he would rather not spar against Wulfric, that he probably wasn't worth their instructor's time, but he was just trying to make up an excuse to get out of sparring, which was not going to fool Wulfric one bit.
Ichiro had noticed the worried glance and the 'sorry' that the chimera had given to him, returning a rueful smile before his attention went back to their instructor.
Cam's gaze rested on what Ichiro had for his weapon of choice, a katana, that was probably a better option to choose, especially when it came to those scimitars that Wulfric had.
' Hope you're a good hand with that thing, Ichi...' he thought, if he wasn't, then the guy was going to be murdered out there!
The battle started as soon as Ichiro drew his katana and sprinted towards Wulfric, making horizontal swings at the instructor in hopes of getting a good hit in.
It was easily blocked, however, and the katana was disarmed as Wulfric brought the two blades at Ichiro's neck, saying that the attack was too predictable, and that he should grip the weapon tighter.
Seemed like Ichiro was getting a bit more of a lecture than Cam had, but then again, the guy was a bit inexperienced when it came to weapons, since he usually relied on those marionettes of his to fight, but he couldn't use them now.
" Les' go, Ichi!! Show 'im whatcha got!!" he called, cheering Ichiro on, hoping he would put some more effort the next time he went for Wulfric again.
Gwynny flitted up and landed on Cam's shoulder to get a better look at what was going on, watching the sparring match with great interest as she waited to see what was next.

Akira noticed how Maria seemed to debate on his fighting conditions, but was relieved when she eventually agreed to them. She gripped her knife tightly and lunged for Akiras chest. Akira somewhat wished he could put a thin barrier around his body and then truly not take damage, however, he had to keep to the rules of combat class, which meant no magic. Instead he used his wings to gently, but forcefully divert her arm out and away from his chest. "Not bad, now try switching it up on me. Do something unexpected, that's usually good right?" He encouraged. He didn't know too much about hand to hand combat except for things his brother raved about, however he would still try to do the best he could. He caught some of the exchange between Acario and Viktoria, and a flicker of mixed emotions went across his face for a moment, but was gone again.

__________________________________________________________

Kelly was about to reply to Ash, when Acario said something about Kelly, and then, she was about to go off on him, but he was saved by the announcement, for 1st period. At that, she got up, pulled her map, remembering from glancing at her schedule, that her first period was combat. Perfect. A great way to start of the morning, actually. So, Kelly headed to class, arriving on time, and going over to the relatively small group of rookies. Instead of going to the weapon rack however, she pulled her own weapon out. A very ornate-looking balisong, or Butterfly Knife. However, she quickly grew bored in the group of students, looking at weapons, unsure of what they would like. It seemed there wasn't much to the class, not today at least. So, Kelly instead decided to head over to the 'experienced; group, certain she'd have to face the teacher if she got caught. Which, she was half hoping for. When she pulled her balisong out though, the students in the rookies group laughed her. She vanished, and appeared behind the student, the blade to his throat, as she held him like a hostage. The student screamed, but no one dared to move. "Not so funny anymore, is it?" She asked the student, an evil grin on her face. She wouldn't kill him, absolutely not. However, she may leave him a little reminder...

Before you bet.

User ImageWait, wait, wait....Is he...actually complimenting me? Suddenly all of her anger dissappeared. She didn't know how to react at all. It was completely frusterating, being in a situation where you don't know what to do. Was he playing mind games? Or was he being sincere. It also didn't help since she knew she had some sort of feelings for him. She hated it, but she couldn't control it. She knew he was terrible...but at the same time...Appearantly he did too. W-wait, what? H-he did too? Looks like the tables had turned, now he had totally thrown her off. She stood there in some sort of daze, completely lost in thought, not even noticing her opponent spreading wings and flying into the air. I suppose this was also one of her big flaws...she wasn't easily distracted, but when she became distracted...it took a lot to take her out of it.

If it wasn't for the sudden break in silence from a certain "Boo." comming from a certain someone, she may have stood there for an eternity, just processing her thought. The sound snapped her out of her daze and she let out almost a squeal. She would have been embaressed about it, especially since she wasn't the type of girl to get scared so easily, but she didn't even have time. Right after his voice broke the air, a sharp pain was felt in her back. She was suddenly thrust forward throwing her off balance and landing on her hands and knees on the ground, however at this point she knew what was going on. She used the momentum he had given her as an advantage and turned her hard landing into a forward roll and back up into a one hundred and eighty degree spin so that she was facing him once more. She could feel the tiny lacerations within her body that impacted the ground. She knew she was bleeding, and bleeding pretty bad in her right knee. These arenas wernt't exactly the smoothest.

"What the hell are you doing, Trivee...Don't get caught like that...He's playing you, just ignore him." She wispered to himself. It was something she did when she got distracted, she talked to herself, it helped throw her back into reality. She sounded an extremely frusterated yell and teleported her sphere behind the boy's head once more, and jerked her hand towards her chest, causing the sphere to once again hopefully smash him in the skull in the same spot. He's totally taking you as a joke, he's mocking you, he could have done much more than a simple kick there. So lets show him what you're really made of!!!! Her anger rising, and losing control of her strength, If the ball did hit, he would definately receive at least a concussion, if not a crack in his skull. With her combo almost complete, she moved her glove in a sort of slapping motion and sent the claws out once more, aiming more towards his ankles. This was in hopes of not cutting him, but rather shooting past and wrapping around his ankles.

Marcus jerked up suddenly when he heard the scream, unsure of what happened or why. He was suddenly right behind Kelly, due to the fact that he was able to wordlessly use his enhancement spells and in this case, had used a speed one. "Drop it." He said calmly, wrenching her arm in a way that would cause a specific amount of pain that usually triggered reflexes to move away from the pain, which also meant letting go of the knife. However, to his surprise she vanished and came in from above with a kick. He honestly hadn't expected her to be quite so good. He supposed that was his own fault for underestimating her. Luckily he was good at mid-combat adaptation, and he quickly, he used her airborne position to his advantage and retaliated, grabbing her leg and throwing her into the ground, hard. "...Are you done?" He asked casually, calming down. "You're assignment was to look at the weapons, not use them in combat yet. It seems you are quite familiar with the basics of hand to hand combat, however if you ever threaten an inexperienced student with that position without my authorization in my class ever again, you will be severely punished, am I understood?" He asked, still quite calm, mildly irritated with this unauthorized behavior, and yet, intrigued at her skill.

"Ja, mein Lehrer. Yes sir. Just proving a point."
Kelly said, catching herself, and changing to English, though still with heavy accent. She then stood up, flipped her knife away, and dusted off her outfit. The student, who had been standing there the entire time, just fainted. Some of the students snickered at him, others were staring at Kelly with fear practically pouring from their eyes. Kelly however, was just following his instructions as far as grouping. The teacher had said students new to HIS class, not with weapons. At the point of threats, she was just proving a point that even small weapons like a Balisong, could be deadly. With her though, pretty much everything was deadly. She had killed someone with a tea cup before. No wait, he survived... Barely. As she thought about it, she wondered if she still had that cup... She thought she did. She shook those thoughts from her head though, as she waited for the teacher's reply.

Before you bet.

Acario was surprised yet quite amused with the fact that Viktoria had squealed when he said boo. He laughed out loud, but it looked like the fall had scraped her up a bit. "You really may want to consider wearing armor... It would help you a lot in hand to hand combat. At least some tough leather so you can still move around fairly quickly? I'd hate to see that pretty face of yours all scratched up." He smirked, but he was telling the truth, armor would be nice for her, especially if he could hurt her so easily. If nothing else she should wear it when fighting someone like him. When Viktoria muttered something about Acario playing her, a flash of sadness but understanding moved across his face."I may be known for lying, but when I compliment someone, I mean it." He said seriously. He recognized the motions with her hands and swerved to the side as the orb came in to smack his skull again. "Rule number two, never repeat the sam attack twice in a row, unless in rapid succession." He listed nonchalantly. The basics of combat were the only rules he knew by heart. When she made the slapping motion, he ducked again, thinking it was the orb once more, however the sharp pain in his ankles proved him wrong. Damn those projectile claws. They wrapped themselves around his ankles and he would have tripped if it weren't for the fact he was flying. "Rule number three; Never assume..." He grumbled, looking at his bleeding feet, however, now he realized the chains connected to the claws were pulling him in, yet he flashed a smile. "Rule number four, use your opponents' weapons against them." He said in a triumphant tone, grabbing the chains and instead of her pulling him in, he pulled her to him, and wrapped her arms up in her own chain. They were inches away, face to face, just where Acario liked to be. He couldn't stop smiling for some reason though, as his silver eyes looked over her face. "Now what are you going to do...? I assure you, there's a lot of things I could do right now." He said with an arrogant smirk. He felt as though he had won this battle, and it was much more amusing to find a way to trap her or win without killing her. He saw the pure hatred in her eyes, however, and frowned slightly. "You really don't like me do you?" He mused, almost entertained by the idea, then with a sigh he unhooked himself, and let her go.

"No excuses, you go against my instructions, you go against me. However, I have obviously missed the fact that you are not inexperienced in this field, as most transfer students are the opposite, so, if you would join the other group..." He jerked his head over to the sparring part of the class. Moving back to Ichiro he unsheathed a single scimitar once more. "...Where were we?" He asked, actually contemplating where they had left off. "I suppose either way you need to take a swing at me." He suggested with a dead serious tone.
