Desiree was almost to the roof, when Vincent appeared like a racing flash right before her. "What a pretty kitty. Your all mine now. Poor Desiree! Nobody, not even Mr. Kane is here to save you." His mocking laugh was a punch in Rei's stomach.

Vincent might have been evil, but he sure was dimwitted sometimes. Rei scurried past him while he was laughing turning into a human just in time to open the door to the roof. "Kane! I need your help. Vincent is on the stairs. He'll kill me. I've got to get out of here. Oh! Wait." Rei jumped on Kane. Magical light swirled around them as the teleported to her room in seconds.
