Mai was sitting in the corner of the gym room with Rain, "Hey look girls" a student named Umi yelled to her friends "look at this ugly thing I found.” Umi and her friends walked up to Mai “What the heck are you doing bringing vermin to class?” She said in a snobby way, “And I’m not talking about the wolf.” Mai just sat there and didn’t do anything “Oh did I hurt the little weird girl’s feelings?” she said as her friends laughed at Mai, Rain started barking at them, “Rain, shhh.” Mai said trying to get him to quiet down, “Oh look the little creep can talk.” Umi said while putting her hands on her hips “What else can it do?” a girl in the group said, at this point Mai had enough and started to walk away, “Hey weirdo, your not getting away that easily!” Umi shouted as she threw a dodge ball at Mai. “Yea, you creeper!” another girl said as the whole group started pelting Mai with dodge balls.”

Just as the girls started to throw the balls at Mai, Kei walked in. His eyes got reddish as he grew angry. "And just what do you girls think you're doing?" He asked in an icy tone, lifting his hand, he waved it in the general direction of the rubber balls and watched as they began to disintegrate. "Now go away, you're bothering me." he said as the girls ran away. He would probably get in trouble for destroying the balls, but he didn't care.

"Epp!" all the girls screamed as they ran away. Mai was speechless about the act of kindness Kei had done for her, she wanted to thank him, but just as soon as she was about to the gym teacher walked in and told everyone to find a partener for class.

The gym teacher seemed to have not noticed the destroyed balls, which was probably for them best. Sighing as he was told to pick a partner, he glanced around, looking for someone he could deal with. Walking over to the girl he had met earlier, he stood in front of her. "Hey. Want to be partners? I'd rather it be you than some random stranger I've never met before." he said, seeming to completely forget that he had stopped those girls from bullying her.

_____ Sighing in boredom, Airi took a small piece of folded paper out of her pocket. Unfolding it, she examined the classes she had listed on it, trying to find one that wouldn't bore her. She would rather not go to classes, but seeing as there was nothing else to do, she decided she would. "I think I'll go to the archery class..." she said to herself as she folded the paper back up and put it in her pocket.

Mai just looked down, and without saying a word she nodded her head in agreement. “O.k everybody, today, with your partner you will be battling.” The teacher paused for a second “The rules: no majorly injuring someone, no killing, and all mortals will have to have weapons on them, weather you choose to use them is your choice, the weapons are supplied by the school and must be returned to the school, got it?!” as the students nodded, Mai walked over to the weapon table and chose , five daggers and a extending spear. “O.k everybody on my count go, 3….2….1. begin!”

Setting her pen down on the stack of papers before her, she pushed her chair back and slowly got up. Silently, she left her room and walked outside.

Battling? Kei thought in surprise as the mortals retrieved their weapons. I didn't know the school had this sort of thing. When Mai returned, Kei had already finished his stretching. Getting into his battle stance, he waited patiently as the teacher counted down. Lunging forward at a normal human speed, Kei decided to check how good her defense was.

Due to her paranoia Mai was always prepared for something. As soon as Kei was close enough she kicked him in the gut so hard and so fast, not a single hair on her head moved. Rain, who was told to wait on the side, flinched because even he new how much that hurt.

Kei had been prepared for just this kind of attack, so he was able to jump backwards enough to lessen the blow. Instead of a possible broken rib, he was merely a bit winded. "Impressive, for a human. I won't be so easy on you now." Kei said, his eyes turning gold as he prepared for his next attack. Sprinting forward at a slightly faster speed, he rushed behind her and did a low kick, swiping her feet from under her before jumping back to a more defensible position.

After getting food she headed outside. The forest seemed like a quiet place to draw. Only one person has ever seen her drawings and wanted her to make her a fairy. After making this mystical fairy, the girl paid her and told her it was the best she has ever seen. Walking to the forest she looked around for something she could draw. Everything was so beautiful. She loved how the sun shined on the..... what is that?
Something was shinning and it was strange. Heading to it she noticed it was just a penny. A very shiny penny. She smiled as she picked it up. Walking back she found a rock to sit on. With her sketch book in her lap she watched a bird fly to a nest it had made. Slowly she started to draw it.

Walking slowly though the sunlight, Selene could hear that the gym class had begun, due to the sound of clanging weapons. She was about to go observe when she saw a young lady walking to the forest. Curious, she wandered after her, wondering if the girl was a student of hers. As she approached, she saw that the girl was drawing. "Hello there." Selene said in a soft voice as she came to a stop a few feet away.

Finishing with the bird she added to little baby birds since the mother had a worm and was putting it towards the bottom of the nest. When she heard the hello she jumped making a line across her drawing. Frowning she closed the sketchbook and looked at her. Knowing it was the Headmistress she stood. "Um, I am sorry. I know I am suppose to be in class. But today was just so pretty and.." she stopped herself knowing she was going overboard. Also talking really fast. Putting the pencil in the pocket in the sketch book she held it up to her chest. "Miss, I am really sorry. I was planing to go to class after I finish this drawing." she said with a smile hoping it would help.

Mai was able to catch herself by doing and handstand and back flip, once she planted her feet on the ground she could feel her left ankle hurting, but tried her best not to show it. Mai felt something within her getting angry, but ignored the feeling, she then charged for Kei and disappeared, and then out of no where she popped up and punched Kei in the back and kicked him behind the head, hoping to leave him a little disoriented.
