Thoughts: Was that the right thing to say? Did I mess up?
With: A girl who appears to be sharing my dorms.
Where: Dorm Room 4
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dante stepped outside the research facility he'd spent all his life in from the ages 4-16, holding a bag in one hand and his lucky charm in the other. Funny. He wasn't Dante until a little while ago. It still didn't stick into his head. He was test subject-103. He went over to sit down on the bench that was a few feet away and dropped his bag, flopping onto the bench with no grace. He held up his charm, admiring it while he waited for the taxi that would bring him to the docks where he'd board a boat to the school he'd be attending. Police officers were passing him by, escorting all the scientists that were his captors until a few days ago.
Dante was a special case in where he was kidnapped after the world learned about the mythical creatures and how they were among us. He was believed to be one due to his mis-colored eyes, and was taken here. The media had been in a frenzy, and there was the stench of fear everywhere. Who knew if their neighbor was a bloodsucking vampire? Or a savage werewolf? He wasn't the only human who had been thrown in here, but the only one that survived the ordeal. Though he couldn't be called human now.
He shifted, feeling his lack of genitalia. He had grown accustomed to it, it was the result of trying to implant Siren DNA into him, and resulted in him having some of the Siren's powers and traits, but losing some of his humanity. The fact that they decided to put female Siren DNA into him didn't help either. The male and female humans who got implanted with the same-gender DNA got to keep their sex instead of becoming genderless. Though gender wasn't the only thing people lost here. Many human and mythical lives were taken, and when the research facility was discovered, had been shut down due to mass genocide of mythical beings and humanity. All in the name of science.
The taxi pulled up, with the driver looking around wildly due to the large number of officers and all the arrests. Dante simply got in, gave him money, and told him where to go. He only knew to do this because he was instructed to say these exact words by the man who had given him a letter after this scandal had been found out. He had no connection to actual reality at all. He could only do what he was instructed to do. He arrived at the docks, not saying a word to the driver the whole ride there, and got out to board the boat. He took no time to look around, simply hopped on board and sat down, waiting to arrive at his next destination.
He got off the boat and was greeted by a robot. He wasn't fazed, as there were plenty of mechanical devices in the lab he used to live, though they didn't talk and didn't treat him nicely. He was instructed to go to the office to retrieve his necessary items, so he went there. He was, again, greeted by a robot. But he didn't care, he simply needed to get the things he was instructed to get. After retrieving his room key, supplies, and uniform; he sat down in the office, awaiting further instructions. It took a few minutes, but finally the robot recognized the fact that he had not moved and told him to unpack his things at Dorm Room 4. He stood up and moved over to his new destination.
When he arrived, he noticed there was a severe lack of people. He wasn't used to it, and got nervous. He opened the door to find another living organism. It was a girl in a frilly, light blue dress. He stared for a few seconds, taking in the fact that someone was in front of him. Than realized that he had been told it was polite to talk to someone if they were alone, so he tried to think of something to say, coming up with what the other test subjects said and repeating it. He opened his mouth and let out a soft, slightly monotone voice.
I am test subject 103. Who are you?
