Then Jake looked back to the last person of the group, the third wheel, in his opinion. He had just enough time to take in her appearance before she began to walk away, apparently having realized it was no longer necessary for her to stick around with the couple. Her face wasn't familiar to him, though the faces of the other two were. She was probably younger than him, but he wouldn't place any bets on that assumption because he wasn't the best at guessing ages.

Suddenly, she wheeled around to look at him almost as suddenly as she had begun to walk off. That was strange. He thought, looking at her expression. Almost as though she's got the sixth sense or something. He mused, another smirk pulling at his lips, but he suppressed it, leaving his expression cool.

The girl then addressed Jake in an odd tone, as though she were curious or confused. Her second question of "Do you have a sibling possibly?" quickly cleared things up for him, though. He nodded, his dark, streaked hair falling into his face. "Yeah. A sister." He shrugged slightly, walking towards the girl. "Kassidy's her name." He added, "Kassidy Moreno." Jake vaguely began wondering what her reaction to his eyes would be. Their strange appearance estranged people from him more often than not.

She grinned, pleased that she was able to nail her suspicion correctly. She raised a fist in the air out of mock victory. "Haha! I thought so. You guys look alike, you know? I remember seeing her around town sometimes, and her look just stayed in my mind." She began to match his lazy pace, walking down the halls alongside him. If she didn't know better, she'd say he was anxious about something, as if preparing himself for a comment of some time. But then again, maybe that was just Saybrae's sensitivty to people getting the better of her.

She walked on a few more steps, before turning to face and ask if anything was troubling this boy, whose name she still hadn't asked. "Hey...i know your sister's name now, but your's is...?" She noted how he cleared his black hair from his face, it being a length that normally would cover his eyes. It was at that moment her gazed fixed upon his eyes. She walking, her pace bringing her a few steps foward before turning to face the boy head on.

His eyes were...amazing. To have eyes so contrasted, so different from what you normally see. She studied him closer, mouth opening as if to say something, but stopping, catching her breath before she did so. She tilted her head, her strand of balck hair comming undone, like usual, falling to the side of her face. "Your eyes..are so cool!" She meant every word, for Saybrae valued the unique and different. How some people didmiss it as weird and not normal, who how she would love to give them a lecture.

She grinned up, trying to not seem like a crazy obsessed person for saying that. "I mean your eyes, is that what's been bugging you this whole time? I think they're pretty neat to tell...you the truth." She bonked her head playfully with a fist. "I don't think i caught your name yet. I'm Saybrae."

"Well usually i don't ever pass out." She chuckled. She tried to restrain herself from closing her eyes. She missed the touch. When his fingers brushed against her cheek she got goosebumps and bit her lower lip. All these things reminded her of ryan. She smiled weakly. "thanks.." she mumbled softly. Feeling the pull she looked back at him. What was this? Some kind of trivia? Damn, she hated trivia. "Please."

On ground she slapped him in the shoulder playfully. She smirked. "Are you trying to flirt with me?" She blushed. Deep in concentration she tried figuring out what to do with ryan. It was rude to text around people but, sophie needed to let him know. And soon. Oh god. What am I supposed to do now? Should I tell him? Or not. I have lots of thoughts running thru my head and need help. "Hmm? Oh yeah." She bit her lower lip in not knowing what to say.

His eyebrow cocked curiously when she pumped her fist into the air as though she'd just won something. Her enthusiasm was easily provoked. He nodded when she stated that Kassidy and himself appeared similar. Having the same parents would do that to you... He was tempted to say, but he knew that would be asking to be slapped. Jake's eyes twinkled with amusement when the girl said Kassidy's look stuck in her mind. His sister was indeed a black sheep when it came to fashion sense at the school.

Jake grimaced, wishing, not for the first time, that the school allowed them to wear sunglasses. They don't care after the bell rings, though. I'm an idiot. He could tell that the girl had noticed his eyes from the sudden halt of her chatter. She'd even been so open and bold about it to step in front of him to look at them directly.

Jake forced himself to stare back at her, willing his uncertainty to diminish. She seemed almost flabbergasted, opening and closing her mouth like a fish. Finally, he heard an intake of breath from her, indicating she was to speak. He braced himself, waiting for the insults, only to hear: "Your eyes..are so cool!"

He blinked many times more than necessary, coming to terms with her statement. It wasn't scorn or wariness, but pure enjoyment. Jake found himself sighing with relief, glad to be saved from the norm.

Shrugging his shoulders slightly, he replied in an undertone, "I guess so..." He smirked when she said they were 'pretty neat'. The only person to have said anything close to that was his sister, which, since she had to, it didn't really count. He couldn't really believe this girl. She was so different from the others. Maybe she's an alien... He thought to himself jokingly.

"Oh, I'm Jake Lamburo." He said when she asked his name, holding his pale, spidery hand out to shake with Saybrae without thinking of it. Her name is as unique as she is... Jake thought, allowing himself to smile slightly.

It really as true, that the teachers always eat better then the students in schools or at least this one they did. He had seen it grabbed some and saw a boy not eating just staring at a book and dropped some off without saying a word. By the time he looked back the boy was already eating the food that was wrapped up and it brought a smile to Alexander’s face. Helping always did that, it felt good inside and out even if his parents hated it. Yet, they hardly could do much he was eighteen only bad thing was he was stuck under their roof until he graduated school or he got his own place and he had a feeling it be more of the first then the second.

That was then, it was after school now and he was slowly getting ready to leave. No, he had no reason to see to rush life. Time would tick as time would tick you really couldn’t make it move any quicker then. “Day is done. I wonder what to do.” He muttered to himself as he closed the metal locker door and clipping the lock on his hands slipping into his jeans as he headed down the empty hallway only a few people left but they was either getting tutoring done or just being a suck up and exited the school building. That place always felt so stuffy to him, and he hardly liked it but you did things you didn’t want to for a reason, and he did the same. He was one that rather use his two legs then a car he did have a bike but he didn’t use it often too much anymore walking seemed to be more of an enjoyment then anything else.

“Finally peaceful isn’t it?” A voice came from behind Tal as he moved on the other side of the banister his hazel eyes glancing around seeing only a few people outside. “This is what makes worth wild coming out of the school.” His nose scrunched up as if saying school tasted nasty or smelt bad.

Fawn had raced out of class the moment the bell had rung, beaming to herself and giggling as she ran around the school and into the small, grassy portion that she had been watching through the window. She threw her bag to the side and then flopped down on the grass, spreading her arms out to her sides as she peered up into the trees, watching the squirrels and birds play in the branches. Her fingers toyed with the soft blades tickling her palms as she wriggled a bit, the bright green and pink stripes of her knee-length dress jolting against the natural backdrop. Her sandals were kicked off and she bent her legs, sighing at the feel of the cool ground against the bare soles of her feet.

"Hello, woodland creatures. Did you miss me this afternoon? Mr. Turner was babbling on and on about the Greco-Prussian War, or something like that. I wasn't paying very much attention because he was wearing this really ugly blue tie. There were golf balls all over it. Did you know that sometimes people hit golf balls into the ocean and they get lodged into the blow-holes of sea mammals? Isn't that awful?" She wrinkled up her nose and folded her arms over her chest, giggling as one of the squirrels went leaping from one tree to the next. "You be careful, Lexy. I would hate to come out here and find you on the ground with a broken leg or something. You really are far too much of a daredevil. Do you think that it's possible to give a dolphin the Heimlich?"

Gabriel looked around the quickly emptying school that was to be his new home in America. He was feeling incredibly stressed out, and he hadn't even spent a day in the classroom here yet. He took a moment to lean against the lockers and grind his fists in his eyes. Suddenly, his wide jeans buzzed loudly, signaling a new message. Excited for the first time today, he pulled out his cellphone. The message was from his best friend in the whole world, Elaina O'Reily. Just seeing her grin and bright curly red hair made Gabriel smile amid the turmoil.

He read the text message, which was just a note on how her new puppy had made a mess on the floor, and his heart longed for London. His musings were interrupted by a call from his mother, crying out that he needed to return home immediately. Sighing, Gabriel took off without really looking where he was going.

In front of the main entrance, Gabriel accidentally ran headlong into a very blond boy wearing brown-lensed glasses. He caught himself, blushing wildly and ran a hand through his shaggy black hair.

"Sorry, mate," he apologized, his London accent flowing out and around him like a great sign that said "FOREIGNER." "I didn't mean to bowl you over."

She took his hand without hesitation, shaking it firmly. The boy must have some sense of etiqutte, which piqued Saybrae's curioisty. Few rarely gave their hnads to shake, but allowed herself to smile and recover from slight shock when he smiled in turn. "Pleased to meet ya Jake!" She was too, for it was rare she was able to talk so amiable with someone and not be labeled as weird, for being so foward a girl. She took notice of how plae he was to her, almost as if he never ventured out in the sun.

Without thinking, Saybrae let out a chuckle, a sudden image coming into her mind. Count Von Jake, Dracula Extrodanaire... She bowed her head down slightly, trying to hide her laughter and not seem rude. She gave his hand a final squeeze before releasing it, now using it to tuck another piece of troublesome hair back. Why would i think it's THAT'S funny...? I mean yeah, it is, but yeah. She nodded to no one in particular, mentally smacking herself. He now would assume she was a weirdo, a sort of loud and brass donkey in the school's sea of pedigree stallions and mares.

She tried calming down, dragging her open hand across her face, wiping it clean of any unwelcomed amusement. She turned her head slightly to Jake, giving him a shaky grin. "Sorry about that...something i thought of just made me laugh, you know?" As she finished this, a nerve twitched at the side of her mouth, wanting to force it into another grin.

She let out a sigh, whipping herself quickly so she was side by side with him again, picking up the pace on her walk with him down the hall. She just made herself seem like the world's biggest idiot, no doubt, in front of her first potential prospect for a companion and aquainttance in this stupid school. Lovely Saybrae old girl, lovely.

Jake's smiled broadened when she shook his hand amicably. He nodded, saying, "Likewise, Saybrae.", his tone sounding much more relaxed than it had earlier. The girl's boldness was refreshing to him. Just talking to someone he normally didn't was refreshing itself.

He looked at her quizzically when she began to act strangely all of the sudden. Was she... crying? He saw her shoulders shaking slightly from the repressed emotion and heard a small noise. He blinked. It didn't sound as though she were crying. She didn't even sniffle. He pursed his lips into a line. She was laughing. This was all a rouse. He took a deep breath, looking away. He was foolish to think there was a genuinely nice person that attended this school.

His eyes snapped back to her when she spoke as she tried to regain her composure. Her expression wasn't a mocking one, to his surprise. What if I'd just been over thinking it..? He thought uneasily, his brow furrowing. Something that just made her laugh. He could relate to that. His mind went back to the alien theory. Maybe she had just thought he was an alien.

His face cracked into a smile. "Yeah, I know what you mean." He replied. Maybe he was just being ignorant, but ignorance is bliss, after all. Then, as though nothing had happened, she returned to his side and began to walk again. He continued his slow, nonchalant gait down the hall.

TAL-SHANG

Tal nodded, after going through the jolt of Alexander appearing out of nowhere, like he always did. He leaned over in turn, arms hanging down over the stone. "I guess that's the one pro of having to go thorugh jail for 7 hours. When you get outside, the sun is worth a lot more isn't it?" He let out a sigh, then caught it halfway, starting to laugh. He lightly punched Alexander on the shoulder, giving him a grin. "Dude. You trying to make us sound like 70 year old dudes remaniscing on better times?"

That was one thing Tal was happy about. Being around Alexander relatively lightened him up, caused him to regain the normal adolescent humor he knew he had, buried under layers of stress andd concerns he normaly worried about. He leaned to the side, alightly away from his freind, running a hnad through his blonde hair. He hated it, for it was too blonde he felt, naturally. In the direct sunlight, he could be used as a reflector cone for traffic accidents, He gave a wry smile to no one in particular at this thought.

Then, out of nowhere, Tal felt himself be bumped into, by another guy. He caught his hands out, holding himself up by the banister. He whipped his head around, and raised an eyebrow at the bumber, and his accent. So the school finally got around to a foregin exchange program... He shook his head, straightening himself up against Alexander and this new guy. "It's quite alright...chap." Without realzing it the word left his mouth, and fiddled with his glasses nervously. He didn't mean to come off as a jerk, he just said it as a way to make the poor guy feel more comfortable. To Tal, it seemed like he was about to pass out of fright, or at least worry.

He chuckled nervously, throwing Alexander a 'well, what the heck should i do now?' glance. He turned back to the boy, throwing his hand out to shake with the guy in front of him. "Sorry about that, I'm Tal," he mumbled, eyes averting his face.

Gabriel was blushing like a mad man. He was inwardly cursing himself, and his hand instantly went to his earring. He twiddled it nervously, wishing this hadn't been the cute blond's first impression of him. Even worse, Gabriel had obviously embarrassed himself in front of the guy's friend! What a great start to his new high school.

When the hand was presented, Gabriel was slightly surprised. He had heard from his friends back home that all Americans were stuck up snobs and just plain rude. He looked into Tal's eyes for a moment, searching for mocking, then took the hand in his own. He looked around to his friend, showing that he was introducing himself to both.

"'Allo. I'm Gabriel. I just moved here from London. Sorry for my clumsiness; it's hard to keep your balance when you're distracted by two shining stars such as yourselves."

Gabriel cringed inwardly. His flirting was another nervous twitch. Of course, he thought both boys were cute, but that didn't mean that they thought the same. In fact, he was suddenly very aware that to be bisexual was actually strange and that it was highly likely that both of them were straight.

He cleared his throat and tried to look them in the eye, hoping that they wouldn't think he wa a freak.

The sun mattered to everyone and did much more than people expected it to do. Always brighten up his mood if he was annoyed or pissed off at someone or something. When Tal spoke his head turned slightly looking to him and then grinned a bit. “We are maturely that age we all wish we could be children again.” He let out a small laugh as the male he was speaking too went down his eyes blinked and turned his shoulder slightly to see a new boy. A new student with an accent? English maybe? They weren’t doing foreign exchange programs were they? Maybe he could… A smile tugged against his lips as an idea formed into his mind as he watched the scene in front of him only giving a shrug of his shoulders. No, he wasn’t planning on helping he was planning on leaving he wasn’t much of a person to be around new people.

“I am going to see you later Tal an be careful not to fall down stairs by people running you over.” A teasing grin against his lips as he headed down the steps and left the two alone without another word his hands slipping back into his jean pockets and rounded the side of the school out of site of the two males he just was with moments ago.

Kassidy glared angrily down at the message displayed on her phone that was sitting on her desk. She wasn't worried about getting caught with her phone out for her teacher's back was conveniently turned as he wrote on the board. Her boss had just texted her, demanding she come in immediately after school because whats-her-name called in sick. Great. That girl was always sick. And Kass was always picking up the slack. She slammed down on the keys and wrote a new message, sending it to Jake. It read: "I have to go to work as soon as school lets out. If you're not at the car, you're walking home."

The bell finally rang, and not a moment too soon. Kassidy had thoroughly enough of her teacher's nasally voice explaining the equation on the board. His voice was much too high in pitch, and his face looked an awful lot like a rat's. She quickly grabbed her things and was the first student out the door, her seat having been conveniently by the exit.

Her heels clapped loudly on the tiled floor of the school hallway as she made her way towards her locker. Her fingers expertly dialed the combination, causing the door to swing open. She hastily threw her books and binder into the metal box before slamming the door shut with a clang which sent her ears ringing softly.

She turned and began to walk towards the parking lot exit hastily, her heels starting up their loud clapping onto the floor. She wasn't in the mood to care whether it bothered others at the moment, her mind was absorbed by work.

Kassidy walked past three males loitering in the hallway, taking a moment to take in their appearances. They were all attractive in their own way, though one sent her gaydar going slightly with the way he fiddled with his earring. She shook her head, berating herself mentally. If she was late, her boss would not be a pleasant person.

It took her moments to descend the side stairs, and about two minutes to get to her car, before she was speeding off to her job at Wal-Mart. As she drove into the parking lot, she glared angrily up at the white lettering of the sign. This was not her first pick of a job, but it was a job at least.

She leapt out of her car, and entered the massive store by the side door, grabbing her ridiculous blue vest and donning it as she walked. She checked in with her boss, who simply acknowledged her with a grunt, before taking her place at register twelve to begin to check out the ungrateful masses.

"Okay, guys. I don't have to be home for like an hour, so I'm going to do my homework out here, but you have to promise not to distract me, okay?" She peers at the animals, then rolls over on her stomach and stretches to grab one of the straps on her backpack, tugging it over with a long-suffering groan. "Uhg! Why do they have to make the books so heavy? I say they should just give us all laptops and have the books on those CD things. Much easier to carry and it would probably cure the world's teenage population of back problems and tendinitis. At least, I think that's how you get tendinitis."

She pauses with her chin resting on her bag, brows furrowing as she tries to remember if she ever read how someone gets that affliction. Absently nibbling at her thumbnail, and plucking a dandelion from the grass to blow the seeds. "Pete, do you ever wonder what a dandelion seed tastes like? They make wine out of the flowers and you can put the leaves in salad and stuff. Hmm..." She flicks a brief glance around, then sniffs at the remaining fluff on the dandelion head, only to drop it and bury her face in her bag as the tickling provokes an attack of violent sneezes.

After a long day cooped up in a school campus, Xenevia was glad to hear the sound of the bell. She walked leisurely to her locker and emptied most of her backpack and only kept the books that she needed for homework. The inside of her locker was decorated with pictures of beautiful scenery from Italy and pictures of her favorite flower, the tiger lily. Her dark eyes stared at the pictures of Italy and heaved a small sigh. She missed her home country but most of all she missed her mother. Her life was turned upside down when her step-mother came into her life, she blames her for everything that had happened so far. She only wishes that maybe her father will open his eyes and see how awful the woman really is.

When she was done reminicing about the past she closed the locker door and headed out the exit of the school. Xenevia took in the cool breeze as she stepped down the concrete steps. She looked at her watch and saw that she had at least thirty mintues to get to her job. Luckily her job was a few blocks away from the campus so without any rush in her footsteps, she headed towards the direction of her work place. Her long wavy hair blew against the cool winds along with her grey dress. She walked the streets with her head held high and humming a small tune to herself and despite her upbringings she was rather good at hiding her true emotions. Deep down the female had been suffering and only wished that she can find some kind of outlet so she can find some contentment in her life.

A few moments have passed and Xenevia had arrived at her job site, it was a small flower shop that was next to a cafe. She pushed open the door and was greeted by the sound of a small bell that was hung just above the door. There were already people inside choosing the right flower to give their significant other. Xenevia jogged to the back room and placed her backpack down and tied her hair in a pony tail and went back to the main room and greeted all the guests. "Hello if anyone needs help in selecting a flower please let me know" she said in a sweet tone and began sorting out the orders and flowers. The first flower she tended to were the tiger lilies and before picking them up she bent slightly and inhaled its sweet smell.

As she oraganized the flowers, she just remembered that homecoming was coming soon and realized she doesn't have a date just yet. However, in a way she didn't want to attend the school dance she was a shy person and had no clue how to dance. But if she were to be asked out, she had hoped that her date would give her a tiger lily. A male customer called her attention and Xenevia walked over with a smile on her face. The customer wanted a simple flower to give his girlfriend but didn't know which to pick out. Xenevia nodded and started picking out pink roses and matched them with purple tulips. She then tied a large crimson colored bow on the stems and handed it to the male. Xenevia then helped the other customers then continued on sorting out the flowers in the shop.
