The Jester of the court
Twirls ideas in his head
While he prances around
"Even you didn't I would still feel bad about it," he told her simply. Josh pushed himself from the counter and turned to get his coffee, not really paying attention to the person giving it to him but smiling evenly at the woman in the counter. No matter how rude she, or anybody for that matter, had been he still flashed her a smile and took the coffee. He slid one hand into his front pocket and sipped his latte. Sighing contently he closed his eyes and savored the sweet caffeine. Opening one eye to look at Sophie he sighed thoughtfully and opened the other eye. That was a creepy habit he had gotten from his dad. If somebody was talking to him and said something that interested him, he would open one eye and then the other. The brown haired boy didn't really think too much of it, it was just normal to him. "Would it be too much of a bother to stay here for a while?" he asked Sophie.
He laughed along with her. "You were half right to say 'good noodle', 'cause it's actually more like 'funny good noodle'," he chuckled. His hand ruffled her hair lightly like somebody would to do a child. Not to long ago she had been a stranger who he had randomly had an adventure, if it could be called that, out of school with. Now she was somebody that was always making him smile. 'Ah blooming friendships," sang his brain. Ah! Stupid brain, thinking up such corny things. But it was true, he felt like he had found a new friend with Sophie. With a childish smile on his face he sipped his latte.
