Note: This is a continuation of the old thread. We welcome new RPer's all the time. Below is a summary of the important happenings in Part One. I have only included the characters that will be carried over from Part One.

Once upon a time there was a little high school in a little town somewhere far far away. Now, this particular high school was called Serenity High, and in it were an array of rather interesting characters. Like all other high school students, the occupants of Serenity High were simply trying to make it through to graduation, and maybe find a few things along the way. Some were looking for acceptance, others were looking good grades, and some wanted to find their happily ever after. In Serenity, it's usually not that simple.

For some, it seems like happily ever after may be possible after all. Take Krysta (Tinkerbell) for example. For quite some time, she'd been harboring a secret crush, not unlike many teenage girls. One fine day, she was sitting in history, when said crush, Brandyn (Peter Pan), spotted her while looking for someone to talk to. He said "hello", and she was taken quite by surprise. Several hours and a few skipped classes later, it seemed that these two had become rather great friends. Brandyn even went so far as to ask Krysta to that weekend's homecoming. The two seem to be spending a lot of time planning on how not to grow up.

For others, happily ever after seems like something that just won't happen. First off, there's Marshall (Captain Hook). You see, Krysta isn't the only one with an eye on Brandyn. Marshall is having difficulty coming to terms with the fact that he doesn't just like the ladies. It would seem, however, that someone else has a hold on Brandyn's childish heart.

Ashelin (Jasmine), who is also thinking happily ever after is out of reach, has spent several months with the knowledge that she's stuck in an arranged marriage. Of course, she hasn't told anyone else this, because she'd just rather not think about it. On the bright side, at least she's made a friend, Sophia (Sleeping Beauty), who is so caught up in her day dreaming that she doesn't really see a need for love.

Then, there's Whisper (Odette). She'd be quite happy if it weren't for her parents that seem to have a very different opinion on what she'll be doing when she grows up. This girl just wants to dance, but it doesn't seem like that's what her parents have in mind. She's got her eye on Marshall, but he's a bit...well...distracted right now.

With two rather drastic extremes, there's bound to be those in the middle ground. One of these is Josh (Dimitri), either. He's our court jester, so to speak. More concerned with his pranks and schemes, we suppose he'll be out looking for a partner in crime before anything else. Like that love stuff. What's that again?

Moving on, we have Alex (Belle), our bookworm. She seems a rather bit wrapped up in her books, but fantasy stories tend to get to your head. It would appear she's looking for her own real life Prince Charming. It would appear he's yet to arrive on his valiant steed...

And then there's Kyle (Simba). Kyle is less looking for love and more looking for moving out of the house so he can stop being so restricted. Of course, love would just be a bonus, but that's really not on the top of his to do list at the moment.

Also in this little town...er...kingdom...lives a free spirited girl called Roze (Pocahontas). She's not so much looking for that true love sort of stuff at the moment. Nah. She's more looking for someone to run about in the open and climb trees with. Not exactly your damsel in distress.

Now, Whisper (Odette) and Jayden (Beast) have just recently run into each other. They seem like good friends, but right now that's about all it is. They're pretty happy, actually, except for the fact that Jayden discovered his brother, Karston (Tarzan) was moving into town to attend Serenity High.

Then they all lived happily ever after. Haha. I'm just messing with you. Life doesn't work that way, at least not yet. They have a long way to go before they get to that point. That is, IF they get to that point. So for now, we'll just go with:

Literacy;; This is a Literate role play. I don't expect 10 paragraphs a post. 2 at the minimum per post, that means 5-10 juicy sentences per paragraph, but longer is great.
Gaia T.o.S;; Come on, lets be smart now!
Respect;; Please be nice out of character! Please! I have issues with rude people.
Godmodding;; You aren't God. Don't control other characters unless asked to. NPC controlling is OK.
Swearing;; Most of us tend to put in a word here and there. If you want to swear, keep it tasteful.
Profiles;; Send all profiles to me, and title the subject 'The Secret Life' Just so I know you read the rules. Also! I expect you to reserve a spot BEFORE you send in a profile! If you don't reserve and just send me a profile, you won't be accepted.
Pictures for Profiles;; Please please please! Make them real characters! No anime! I can't stress that enough! If you want to use a celeb/model, make sure its not someone too famous, and I mean noticeable people.
Character limit;; 4 is the limit here. I will do weekly checks to see if your characters are posting at least once every few days. If you do not post every few days (2-3), unless you have a reason and have told me, than I will give you a warning, and then you have a few more days. If you still do not post, then I will delete your character and you will be notified.
Post format;; Use size 9 or 10. Use a color that no one else is using. I love pretty posts! Add some quotes, pictures, names! Just make it pretty : )

• "Derek" [DarkYang109] - This boy likes sports, and is quite the popular one. He's always been one to date girls by their looks. Can he find a girl that will show him the meaning of inner beauty?

• "Robin Hood" [The Faya of Haven] - A boy with no ties to the world. He's all about protecting his own interest, and that of those weaker than him. Quite the noble guy, though he's not exactly a gentleman.

• "Milo Thatch" [Open] - A rather quirky individual who knows quite a few languages. He tends to be slightly awkward, though he's quite the flirt.

• "Quasimodo" [DarkYang109] - He may have a physical handicap, but he makes up for it with a heart of gold. Can he find a girl who loves him for who he is inside?

• "Jack Skellington" [Dawn Abigail Poppet] - A charismatic young man, he's always willing to be friends. He's a bit self-centered in thinking everyone else is the same way.

• "Stitch" [Open] - A hyperactive boy who tends to be a bit destructive. He's new to the culture, and tends to stand out because of it.

Example; If I were to play Cinderella, does she have to have a crush on Prince Charming?
➝➝No, you do not have to have a crush on the character that your disney character was with in the movies. Example; My character, Ariel has a crush on Aladdin.

➝"But he's/she's a cutie"
That section, does that mean like, another person that you are somewhat attracted to?
➝➝It simply means... Example; you and your girlfriends/guy friends are out at lunch. you have a crush on one boy/girl. BUT You see this really cute/hot guy/girl from your school. You may not have a crush on him/her, but you just think he/she is really cute.

So in other words, no you don't have to like this person, you just think they are cute. If you don't think anyone but your crush is cute, than you can put your crushes name down, or you don't have to write anything : )

Yay for NPCs! Before I get to the NPCs themselves, here's some information about NPCs...

Rules About NPCs. READ THESE CAREFULLY!

1. You must ask permission to use an NPC. Fill out the form below and PM it to me if you want to use one.
2. When posting as an NPC, there is a format you should use. See below.
3. NPCs are intended to be side characters, but I still had better not see one liners. Two paragraphs, same as always.
4. NPCs may NOT go with main characters on dates, or to dances, or anything of the sort. They can show up and make life hell, but that's about it.
5. Main characters may not have crushed on NPCs, and vice versa.
6. If you control an NPC, they may only interact in situations with which your character(s) is/are involved. For example, say you control Maleficent. You may not have her involved in a conversation with Tinkerbell and Aladdin if one of those characters is not yours.

♡ G rinning contentedly and sighing as the last bell of the day rang, Krysta slammed her notebook shut with as much force as she could manage, inwardly giggling as she returned the French teacher’s bewildered expression with an innocent smile and batting-of-the-lashes. Stuffing the blank notebook into her bag – she had managed, somehow, to not use the college-ruled spiral-bound note-taking equipment, so far in the school year, and wasn’t exactly planning on using it anytime soon. Except for doodles and writing notes to pass to classmates, of course.
Standing after packing up – mainly just stuffing everything she had neatly placed out on her desk for no use – Krysta slung the strap of the messenger bag horizontally across her torso, straightening up and stretching, making quite the obnoxious yawning noise as she did so.

☆ J ust three or so hours ago, she’d been outside, in the town, skipping around and hanging out with Brandyn as they had, at the moment, cherished their “freedom”. After they’d paid a visit to Bien Fait, the little Goth/Emo-inspired clothing store in the appearance of a frilly Victorian house, they’d gone down to the little Café and grabbed a snack before returning to school for their last class of the day. Krysta had somehow managed to sleep through the lecture on Napoleon’s accomplishments and what French culture he had brought to his country. French was boring and pointless, in Krysta’s point of view – they weren’t even living in the country! And, besides – who cared if one of the greatest emperors (or whatever he was) liked corn? Not Krysta – or any other kid in her class, it seemed.

♡ C learing her forehead free of her straight bangs in a swift movement consisting of blowing air upwards with her bottom lip, Krysta exited the classroom, her thoughts on the outfit she had fought the urge to buy back at Bien Fait because she’d wanted the Homecoming attire to be a surprise to her date. Hehe…date… Needless to say, Krysta was still extremely giddy about Brandyn being her date for Homecoming. She had, after all, been crushing on him for quite a while, now, not saying anything or carrying a proper conversation until less than twenty-four hours ago. Thank God for History class, otherwise she might have never gotten the chance to even talk to Brandyn once – never mind have him ask her to Homecoming. Though, now that she thought of it, Brandyn probably only asked her to go because she was the only person available out of the crowd he’d possibly asked, or maybe she was just the first female he’d seen that day and that he just so happened to be thinking of Homecoming that moment. Maybe – the worst of Krysta’s stupid frights – it was a dare. Krysta certainly hoped not, and it didn’t seem like it, the way Brandyn acted around her.

☆ S haking her head left to right and squeezing her eyes shut to clear her thoughts and attempt to forget about her random assumptions, Krysta moved along to her locker, sloppily dumping the homework that had been assigned that day into a pile of homework that she’d never bothered finishing from days and weeks before. The pile was getting quite tall, she noted, and made a mental note to herself to bring a bag of some sort to clean it out soon. After neatening up the pile a bit by squaring it up with her hands, Krysta stood there, staring into her locker absentmindedly, as she debated on what to do next.

Ashelin looked up as the bell rang. At long last, the school day had ended. Ashelin gathered her things, placing her pen in her pocket and scooping up the armful of books and papers. She headed out of the classroom with the rest of the students, headed for her locker. There, she deposited everything but her math book and a notebook, and shut the locker. She stood there for a moment, not having planned what exactly she was going to do now that school was out.

"Ashelin!" someone called out to her, and the girl turned to see another girl headed toward her, a grin on her face. Ashelin smiled back at the girl.

"Hey there, Marissa," she replied to the girl, one of her few real friends in school, or at all for that matter. The two had been good friends since childhood. "What's up?"

Marissa shrugged, stopping a few feet away from Ashelin. "Oh, nothing much. Same old stuff, I guess," she replied with a slight laugh. That was usually her answer; Ashelin never got much out of her. "Hey, can I borrow your pen for a sec?" Marissa asked, looking as if she'd suddenly remembered something important.

Ashelin nodded, taking her pen out of her pocked and handing it to Marissa. The other girl took the cap off and scribbled a note to herself on her hand. Looking it over, she gave a satisfied smile and handed the pen back. "Thanks," she said.

"Not a problem, now let's get out of here," Ashelin suggested and Marissa nodded in agreement. As the two girls walked toward the front doors of the school, Ashelin placed the pen back in her pocket. As she did so, it hit something, and Ashelin pulled it out to see what it was. It was the ring. Shoving it back in her pocket, she looked around to make sure no one had seen it. It appeared that they hadn't. She was glad for that, and couldn't quite believe she'd honesty forgotten about it for a moment there. No one knew that she was in an arranged marriage, not even Marissa, and she wanted to keep it that way. She didn't want to be treated different for something she certainly hadn't asked for.

Brandyn Jeremy Hatch ● Peter Pan

Brandyn could feel his eyelids starting to grow heavy as the teacher droned on about sentence structure and part of a sentence. Brandyn liked English, sure. He liked to read stories after all. This, however, was boring him out of his mind and putting him to sleep. He yawned, and tried to force his eyes open, but it didn't seem to be working. He could feel himself falling asleep yet again. He doubted the teacher would notice; she rarely did. She was so old with such poor eyesight that as long as Brandyn kept his head off the desk, she'd probably think he was still listening.

Brandyn was not actually asleep yet. He was more in a half-dazed state, zoned out and oblivious to the world around him; he could hardly even hear the teacher's voice anymore. He was too occupied with other thoughts, like his after school plans to worry about taking notes on the lecture. Actually, he had no after school plans, and that was the thing he was trying to fix. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do. He supposed that if she were up for it, he could go find Krysta. She was always willing to talk and hang out, it seemed. Maybe he'd track down one of his friends from math and have them help him with the homework, since he'd skipped class yet again.

The ringing of the bell caught Brandyn by surprise, and he sat up rather sharply. Realizing what the noise was that pulled him from his trance, he sighed, more with relief than anything else. Finally! He shoved the textbook in his backpack and headed for his locker to remove some extra weight from the pack. After dumping two textbooks into his locker, the backpack had become considerably lighter. Placing the straps on his shoulder, Brandyn smiled with satisfaction, and headed outside. He sat down on the outside steps, enjoying the afternoon, autumn sun while he waited for someone he knew to emerge from the building.

This was the kind of thing that Brandyn enjoyed. He loved sitting out in the sun, as if the world didn't matter to him, which really, it didn't. Not as much as it should, anyway. He liked not thinking about school or homework or the chores that awaited him when he returned home. Nope; none of that at all. Most importantly, of course, he didn't have to think about growing up. That was probably one of the least pleasant things that could be on Brandyn's mind, unavoidable as it was.
